I never understood why that happened. Her best selling song in america flopped here (well, i say flop. 16 ain't *that* bad for most acts :P ) The funny this is, in my experience, I play people Take a Bow and they know it's Madonna, yet play them #4 hit Bedtime Story or #3 Rescue Me and they're like 'Who's This?, Never heard this before' :lol:

this is a stupid decision :wacko: almost as stupid as cancelling the concert halfway through and releasing headlines as a single! Come to think of it, this whole comeback has been a bit $h!te. It should have been amazing, but it's turned to into one big mess :cry: And thats from a huge fan who did get to see them at the o2 in january :P

You Look So Fine for me. My favourite Garbage track, and one of my favourite songs of all time. I love it. Especially the end, i just want it to go on forever. :dance: my second is happy home. I love the ending of that too.

due to the god send called ebay i have all of their UK singles. I got them all for the b-sides. I could have downloaded them all for free, but that woundn't have been as exciting :P The most expensive i bought was the Shut Your Mouth singles, i got all 3 for about £30. It was the last piece for me to buy so i just though, what the hell - i need them! lol

Temptation Waits is one of my favourite G songs. I especially love the Live version released on the special edition Version 2.0 :yahoo:

i think they ruined their chances when they released 'Change' as a single. Just as the UK starts to get sugababe fever with 'About You Now', they go and ruin it by releasing that garbage as the second single :cry: If they release anything else, i think it should be Never gonna dance again. Thats my second favourite on the album after AYN :w00t:

i find girl overboard one of the blandest on the album to be honest :huh: I quite like black jacks, i think it would do well as a single. I love control of the knife too but my favourite on the whole album has to be Fling. I love it! (not sure on all lyrics though. What's a ding-a-ling? :P ) :w00t:

Brave is the first J-Lo album i've bought, and i love it. I wasn't keen on her previous stuff but i loved Do It Well. I've put lack of promotion, oddly both singles got played often on radio 2 but not on any other station. I think it flopped due to lack of support from the media. I'm not sure why hold it don't drop it flopped so bad, #76 wasn't it? Did she do any interviews?

YES :yahoo: Although probabbly not for this era. I think it's a bit late now for the X singles :cry: If she hadn't have led with 2 hearts i think the album would have charted higher. I also think that if Wow had been released first it would have made #1. I think the fact it that Wow had been in chart since December meant that by the time it's offical release date came it peaked lower then it maybe would have done.

The tracklisting is on the offical kylie website. I suppose we shouldn't complain about the b-sides though, we have been genourously showered with them until now, particularly on wow (i LOVE cherry bomb and carried away). It's just a shame :cry: i'll still be buying all 3 formats though, i'm quite looking forward to the 7" - we've not had one of those from kylie in a while

i think #6. I don't like this song as much as others on X, i perfer Stars/Speakphone and Like a Drug in particular, but i can understand the appeal it will have. I think it will sell reasonably well, despite having no new b-sides. WHAT ARE THEY THINKING???? :cry:

as much as a love love love madonna, i think she released her download too early if she wanted a definate #1. I read on the ever reliable wikipedia that the video wasn't due out until 7th April :wacko: she's cutting it a bit fine isn't she, physicals are out on the 14th according to various sites (although it says 21st of April on some, i don't know which is correct) I'm about 95% sure it will get to #1, But hey, who cares if it doesn't, i'd love her to but she's had her fair share, she needs to give others a chance :lol: :dance:

i love sweet escape :w00t: i remember when it was released it just seemed to appear out of nowhere. I bought it after hearing 'the sweet escape' and i love it. The only :puke2: track is 'now that you got it' (i even love wind it up!) Worst second album has to be Keane. I bought it on the day of release. I sold it on eBay not long after. I got about £8 for it :D

awful song :puke2: and i say that as a HUGE spices fan. I went to see them in January :cheer: :cheer: It was quite funny, everybody was singing and dancing away (not just me! :lol:) and when they started singing Headlines you could see loads of people sitting down and getting there phones out texting :D

jeez cut madonna a bit of slack (you'll be upsetting her :P ) seriously though, #7 for a track thats not released for 3 weeks and doesn't have a video and was first played less then a week ago is pretty good going :w00t: weather it'll peak before the physical remains to be seen though :unsure: i don't think it will (i hope not!)

I used to buy loads of singles (i'm a bit obsessed with collecting things so if a cd came in 2 parts, i always bought both :unsure: ) Now i only really buy singles for the artists i love - The last i bought was Wow, before that it was 2 Hearts! Mainly because they are so expensive (£4 in Zavvi for Leona is shocking, charity or not, sorry but :huh: ) My next will probabbly be 4 minutes :w00t: (Although i am totally in love with Estelle so i might buy that if i see it next week :P )

My local Woolworths stopped selling singles completely about a year ago :cry: then about two months later the Music zone across the road shut :cry: The nearest places now are HMV and Zavvi which are about 30 minutes away. Zavvi aren't to bad, but HMV seems to be regualary moving them around the store to more obscure positions - they don't even sell vinyls any more!! I think the main reason for people not buying them are the price. Students aren't going to shell out £3.99 for a 2 track single. I used to buy loads but i now only buy them for the artists i really like. Otherwise i just download them (which i hate doing because i'm literally paying for nothing!) or buy the albums.

why does everybody seem dissapointed with Girls Aloud being at #4. What were you all expecting? it seems quite reasonable to me :unsure: i am in shock at the spice girls at #11, i know everybody has been slating them but :cry: i was expecting them to do better then that... enough of leona already, give others a chance girl! :lol: on a seperate note, does anybody know where justin and beyonce charted?

by next month when the tour gets underway the spices sales will pickup massively, plus it's christmas. and let's face it, 17 sold out nights at the o2 - i think the spices have more then hit the UK :dance: just a shame about the single, it's their own fault though!

i have nothing against westlife, my mum loves them (not that that matters to any of you :unsure: lol,) but they always come across as a bit smug to me. Plus nowadays they only release like 2 songs per album. I bet if they released 4 or 5+ singles from an album they would not all sell to achieve top 5. Just because they achieved this in 1999 doesn't mean they will now, i mean look at how the spice girls are selling now compared to back then :cry: none of this is fact of course, just my opinion. i'm sure loads of you out there will disagree

i expect that the spice girls greatest hits will start selling bucketloads by the time christmas and the tour comes around. I hope so anyway... Everybody seems to agree that kylie just released a pretty average track (although i love 2 hearts), and #4 is hardly a flop :blink: if she chooses the right track for the next single (she has many to choose from!!) she'll do great.
