I want this album so much. "Fascination" and "10,000 Nights" are two of my fave songs of the year. Is the Danish version of the album available to purchase on import?

Am quite shocked too! Doesn't look like it's going to be a big seller for Madonna. But I hope she can hold on for a second week.

I hope Madonna can do the double again this week. Was quite shocked to see such low album sales but the fact there's missing data (and possibly the bank holiday) I suppose explains it. It will be interesting to see tomorrow's update.

Hi Martin, I notice you have Duran Duran listed as a possible future hit with "Skin Lovers". Is this a new track or is it "Skin Divers" from their last album? I'm hoping it's "Skin Divers" as it's such a great track and easily my favourite on the album. With a bit of airplay support it could be a hit. Excellent chart as always. I love that song by The Last Shadow Puppets. I think I'll be buying the album.

I'm a huge Madonna fan and have been right from the very start of her career in the early to mid-80's. But you know what, if I was just a casual fan you would turn me right off her. You probably think you are being this great super-loyal fan, but if anything you are doing her a disservice. Your posts are becoming increasingly tiresome if anyone dares say the slightest negative thing about her. Here's a newsflash for you: People are entitled to dislike Madonna if they want to!! And they are entitled to like and dislike some of her albums. Look I'm not trying to be rude to you, as I said, I'm a huge Madonna fan too. But seriously, stop ramming it down peoples' throats. Rant over.

It's a strange one though isn't it? There can't be many territories in the world where Madonna hasn't had a No.1 single since the 80's! Do you think "4 Minutes" will do it next week? I thought it might have hit pole position this week what with it being No.1 on I-Tunes Ireland and the physical format being out but it still only landed at No.2.

Totally agree. It's the worst song on the album by far. Got my copy yesterday. Generally I think the album is pretty good. Am loving "Miles Away", "Heartbeat" and "Beat Goes On" so far.

I downloaded my copy from I-Tunes Ireland yesterday. I don't think it's her best work but it's a pretty solid album and not the disaster some were predicting. My fave songs are "Miles Away", "Heartbeat" and "Beat Goes On". There are a few dud tracks on it - but the same could be said for most Madonna albums. I think it will do pretty well. I predict first week sales of between 100k - 120k. And will probably end up hitting (or coming close to) the million mark in total sales.

Am I correct in thinking that the last Madonna song to go to No.1 in Ireland was "Like A Prayer" way back in 1989? I can't remember any of her subsequent singles hitting the top spot here. (I'm not including "Me Against The Music" which is really a Britney song in fairness).

Well said. Couldn't agree more. 40+ plus songs per year getting to No.1 totally delavued the charts. Hyped-up songs debuting at No.1 and then plummeting down the charts. At least nowadays it's actually a bit of an achievement scoring a No.1 hit again.

Well, I would see it as a more suitable release. I think it's much more radio-friendly and more likely to be a mainstream hit. And aside from all that, I just think it's just a better song.

Yeah, it really is a weird one. I think "Take A Bow" is one of Madonna's best singles also. Her biggest ever hit in the U.S. and one of her rare flops here. As a side note, one of my other all-time favourite Madonna songs "Oh Father" is another of her few singles not to go Top 10 in the U.K.

I'm definitely in the minority on this one! I think it's a terrible choice as a single. I think "The One" or even "All I See" would be more obvious choices as a third single. I know these things are a matter of personal preference but I'm honestly baffled that so many people in this thread rate this song so highly. I think it will miss the Top 10.

Erm... what? Of course downloading is more conveniant than having to go into a shop and purchase a physical product.

When the news first broke last year that Madonna would be working with Timbaland on her new album I thought it sounded like a disaster waiting to happen. So I for one am pleasantly surprised by "4 Minutes". It's much better than I was expecting. I really like it! I don't think it has a chance of getting to No.1 with the physical release so far off. I think it will be lucky if it goes Top 3.

I hope Madonna can do it.

I saw this cover on Amazon just a few minutes ago and was quite shocked! I don't like it! It reminds me a bit of the "Human Nature" video.

It looks kind of fake to me.

I hope Madonna gets a No.1 with her new single. Does anybody know when it is being released digitally?
