Happy Feet, for my kid. :) He really loved the movie, and kept wanting to see it again, so I gave in and bought the DVD. The animation rocks though - I saw a documentary on how the dancing was computerized, very very impressive.

And here I thought I was the only person with these thoughts. Leave your little kid alone, in a resort in a foreign country, to go eat dinner??? What, are the kids too annoying to be with you? Can you not afford a baby-sitter? If you could afford the resort, you can afford at least that. Kids go missing all the time, and most will never be seen again, and in saying this I lament what has happened to this girl. But she is just one pixel in a much larger image: all the kids all over the world who starve to death, who are raped, who have no homes, who are forced to become labourers or child soldiers, etc. The press should be screaming about all of this, not just one kid from a wealthy and very white family. While I do hope the kid is found, this whole affair leaves me with a very bad taste in the mouth. :angry:
