James Morrison - Undiscovered
This is such a great song and I am so glad it is being released. This, and 'Wonderful World' are in my opinion the best songs on the his great debut album also titled 'Undiscovered'. Whilst it is the fourth single off the album, it has so far recieved very positive reviews and I can see it going top 15 although hopefully top 10 at least.

The Forever Excellent Eastenders Thread
I like the Dawn, Rob, May storyline but whilst I like Dawn, I hope Rob stays with May. I think there is no chance whatsoever of Dawn being axed and I also feel that Mickey and Darren will stay. I have also grown to like Keith however it is there that the problem lies as whilst I like him, he never has any real storyline and is simply seen slobbering on the sofa watching documentaries. I like his character however in all honesty, it serves no real purpose so wouldn't be surprised if Keith is axed however I hope that he isn't and if he is axed then that begs the question what will happen with the rest of the millers which leaves me to believe that none of them will be axed. By the way, the site that Darren and Libby made I have found out actually exists and is quite amusing. http://www.watchagrownmanrot.co.uk/

Melanie C - I Want Candy
I've never actually heard this song before but this version at least is very weak and won't do anything in the charts. The video is alright and 'The Moment You Believe' is a slightly better song but even that is slightly weak and wouldn't do much in The UK Charts. I feel this may just scrape very low top 20 or it may well just miss the top 20 but it certainly won't get top 10 and probably won't get top 15. I expect her album in The UK to bomb and judging by 'I Want Candy' and 'The Moment You Believe', I wouldn't be surprised if it missed the top 40. I personally am not a big fan of Melanie C but I actually felt that 'The Next Best Superstar' which was the lead single off her last album, was a pretty decent song which should probably have got higher than 10 and I also liked 'First Day Of My Life' and whilst it was never going to get top 40, I felt that 'Better Alone' wasn't too bad either despite being a little bland however, I feel the exact opposite about 'I Want Candy' and 'The Moment You Believe'. I can't honestly see either of the two songs being succesful anyway even in Germany where she is fairly big.

Geri Halliwell • General Discussion
wow I've never seen that video of her before and I've also never heard her sing 'Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This' despite being a huge fan of hers and having all her stuff however, that is actually pretty good. She is such a party animal lol :yahoo:

her solo career was actually very good and contrary to some peoples belief, she actually sung live quite a bit.

Sunday Chart Predictions - Analysis
Sadly I no longer understand the singles chart due to the new rules etc. I'm often confused as to whether stuff is out physically or just on downloads. Also, how come Lily Allen is top 40 with 'Alfie' yet top 75 with 'Alfie'/'Shame On You'?

She's My Man
I don't think it will miss the top 40 despite not appearing in the midweeks for Tuesday. I feel that it will probably end up top 30 although it really deserves AT LEAST top 10 but due to phonomenal album sales and this being the third single, realistically, it was never going to chart as high as it deserves.

Absolutely. May is one of my favourite characters and is a superb actress.

Woolies Chart
Robbie Williams looks set for his lowest ever charting single. I expect it will get top 25 at the very highest. Woolworths are tragically not stocking Scissor Sisters 'She's My Man' which I am gutted about and although I felt that it may not get the top 5 position it deserves due to it being the third single and the album sales already being exceptionally high, I feel that it will certainly get top 20 at least hopefully.

Geri Halliwell • General Discussion
I love Geri and all her music including The Spice Girls stuff however this rumour has been around for two years now and has never happened. To be honest as much as I would love it to be true, I doubt at least for the next few years it will happen however, if it did then I would like and would expect it to have the following tracklist. 1. Look At Me 2. Mi Chico Latino 3. Lift Me Up 4. Bag It Up 5. Walkaway 6. It's Raining Men 7. Scream If You Wanna Go Faster 8. Calling 9. Shake Your Bootie Cutie 10. Ride It 11. Desire 12. Love Never Loved Me 13. Feel The Fear 14. Let Me Love You More 15. Loving Me Back To Life 'Walkaway' was from her debut solo album 'Schizophonic' and whilst it was never released, it would have made a great fifth and final single released from the album. It is a really nice, slushy ballad which her vocals on are superb. I feel it would have been another top 10 hit from her. Probably number 9. 'Shake Your Bootie Cutie' was from her second solo album 'Scream If You Wanna Go Faster' and whilst it isn't a fantastic vocal performance, it is a great, fun, catchy anthem which in my opinion could have been a fourth single from the album however I understand why it was not released as it is a potentially love it or hate it song which may flopped however its a great song. 'Love Never Loved Me', 'Feel The Fear', 'Let Me Love You More' and 'Loving Me Back To Life' are all from her third solo album 'Passion' and are all great songs. 'Love Never Loved Me' was for months scheduled to be a release and should probably have been the second single released from the album. Practically every single person and source to have reviewed the album have said that it should have been a single and would almost certainly have got at least top 5. It is such a great, electro pop, summer dance anthem which would have been a huge hit all over Europe. 'Feel The Fear' was actually scheduled to be the 'Children In Need' song for 2004 and would have been a great choice. It is a lovely, smooth ballad which really should not have lost out at doing 'Children In Need' to Girls Aloud's 'Stand By You' cover. I actually reckon that if it had been the CIN single it would have gone top 5 and even though it wasn't, it could also have still been a single and given her another decent sized hit. 'Let Me Love You More' is yet another single which should have been released. In my opinion this could have been a double A side single along with 'Desire'. Whilst 'Desire' is a good song, 'Let Me Love You More' has much better vocals and is a better and more mature song. Whilst 'Loving Me Back To Life' was maybe never really single material, it is still another good song which is in my opinion would be a very appropiate choice to finish off her 'Greatest Hits' album.

'Making Your Mind Up' Contestants Announced
yeah they are and Big Brovaz song is just as bad as all their other releases - pure and utter rubbish. It has no chance whatsoever of winning Eurovision nevermind 'Making Your Mind Up'.

The Forever Excellent Eastenders Thread
Coming this summer to Eastenders is a controversial child abuse storyline. Stella will decide to get revenge on Ben for constantly attempting to ruin her relationship with Phil and will decide to burn Ben in a huge and very controversial child abuse storyline. The story is planned to be so big that The NSPCC have had to be contacted with regards to the story. The BBC are still pondering as to whether this storyline will result in Stella leaving the soap or whether she remains in the soap. I actually like Stella aka Sophie Thompson and hope that she stays. Ben really has been a nasty brat. Also, Shilpa Shetty has reportedly claimed that she has turned down the role of Preeti's sister due to other commitments.

'Making Your Mind Up' Contestants Announced
Yes Scooch is awful as is Cyndi and Big Brovaz however, I actually feel we have got a chance of winning in that of Hawkins + Brown. I feel that song is very catchy and commercial and stands a good chance of winning. However, I along with many others thought we may have won last year with 'Teenage Life' by Daz Simpson however we sadly didn't although I feel that Hawkins + Brown's song is more Eurovision than Daz Sampson's. Despite saying that, Justin Hawkins may not win 'Making Your Mind Up'. I have heard an extended clip of Liz McClarnon's 'Don't It Make You Happy' and it is very catchy, commercial and slightly different. She has wrote the song herself and it is actually very good and something she has which in some peoples opinion Justin Hawkins doesn't have is the likeabilty factor and that could be the difference between the two of them. In my opinion the top two by miles will be Liz McClarnon and Justin Hawkins.

Woo hoo! I'm delighted to say that Kevin has NOT left Eastenders and will in the next few weeks be returning after a bizzare incident involving a bus ticket however, sadly when he returns he will not be making up and resuming his relationship with Denise but will instead rather predictably be involed in a passionate snog with Shirley. Hmmmmm.

And the British contenders are... for this year
Lol Brian Harvey's song which after hearing a 30 second clip I don't think will win, has been wrote by Grant Mitchell lol and also like some of you have mentioned, Cyndi really should not have been chosen to even compete in the 'Making Your Mind Up' show as it really is a complete and utter rip off of 'You Raise Me Up'. Having said that I don't think we should be too concerned as I don't think she will win either. Justin Hawkins and Beverlei Brown look like they have a real chance of winning. From the clip it sounds a really good, catchy tune which I can imagine doing very well in The Eurovision Song Contest. Liz McClarnon's 'Don't It Make You Happy' doesn't sound bad but also like someone earlier on mentioned, it really does sound like 'Son Of A Preacher Man'. Scooch's 'Flying The Flag For You' sounds just like I imagined when I heard the title - a Steps rip off which sounds a bit like 'A Deeper Shade Of Blue'. Out the the 30 second clips I have heard, I feel that Hawkins and Brown look huge favourites followed by Liz McClarnon and then third place between Brian Harvey and Big Brovaz.

Speculation hotting up over UK hopeful
Lol I would have laughed if Michelle McManus was trying for it.

Song For Europe list of semi finalists (rumoured)
That whole list was obviously fake however, I would love to see Chico try out for Eurovision. He would win the 'Making Your Mind Up' show without a shadow of a doubt however I'm sure Charlotte Church never had any intention whatsoever of trying out for it. One she is too classy and too she is pregnant and the new series of her TV show has just started. 4Tune also from The X Factor were on the same series as Chico and whilst I feel there may be some truth in them wanting to participate, I'm sure whoever made that list up simply put two and two together.

New Release Schedule - 26 February
yes thats correct. Thanks very much to everyone who has informed me of any needed additions or alterations. It is all very much appreiciated and that goes for every single week I have compilled the list. I am stepping down from compilling the list once a replacement has been found. At the moment I'm not sure whether that will be before or after Saturday. If it is after then I will compile the list for March 5th and then step down once someone else is found.

'Making Your Mind Up' Contestants Announced
Justin Hawkins, former frontman of glam rock band The Darkness, is bidding to represent the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest this year. Former East 17 star Brian Harvey and ex-Atomic Kitten Liz McClarnon will also be vying to take part. The other three contenders, also announced today, are UK hip-hop group Big Brovaz, pop quartet Scooch, and Cyndi, who is new to the UK music scene. I personally feel that this will be the closest 'Making Your Mind Up' show there ever has been and at the moment I really cannot call who I feel will win. Whilst I have never heard of Scooch and Cyndi, having looked at the other contestants who all have been heard of I really cannot call who I feel will win however, if I was forced to make a bet on it then I would go for Justin Hawkins. I really like him and Liz McClarnon and I also wouldn't rule Brian Harvey out of it however in my opinion the top 2 will be Justin Hawkins and Liz McClarnon with Brian Harvey and Big Brovaz being outsiders. One thing I'll say about Liz McClarnon is that as much as I like her, her and her Atomic Kitten bandmates certainly seem to like reality TV. I am also fairly surprised that Justin Hawkins has made the decision to go down this route for the start of his solo career. I expected him to hate Eurovision and that sort of stuff. Whilst I have never really payed much attention to him I have heard what he is like and can't see Brian Harvey winning due to his attitude and people knowing what he really can be like. His solo career I have heard didn't do very well and that was soon after East 17 so in my opinion he is very brave going down this route. Having said that everyone is as it can really make or break you. I imagine Liz McClarnon to be the type of person who has always liked Eurovision and her decision to participate dosn't particularly surprise me. The thing I have noticed about 'Making Your Mind Up' contenders though is that those who don't win never normally release the song they performed and that in Liz's case worries me a bit as for a year now she has been scheduled to release 'Happy' yet it has kept getting put back all the time so something has obviously not been quite right. If she does not win then to be honest, I fear for her although hopefully she will do well with her solo career following on from her top 7 solo debut. I really hope that Big Brovaz don't win and to be honest I can't see them winning. They seem pretty much over and the song I expect they will be performing I presume is 'Big Bro Thang' which has also been scheduled to be released for months and has been available for radio stations and music channels to play for a while however it has obviously not been very successful with stations and channels so this I feel is possibly a last throw of the dice for them.

El Presidente -- Late Night Binges - PREDICT!!
I really like El Presidente yet their album and singles so far have not charted very well and I felt that their last single 'Turn This Thing Around' would give them the top 20 hit they finally deserve as it got decent airplay and videoplay yet even that only just scraped top 40 so to be honest I suspect that they may not get the hit they desire and deserve so I'm gonna predict number 41. I actually feel that while 'Late Night Binges' is ok they have previously released much better singles such as 'Rocket' and 'Turn This Thing Around'. Compared to all their previous singles, I actually don't feel this is a top 40 level of song.

Top 50 Airplay Chart
The single 'Undiscovered' by James Morrison is superb and I'm so glad its doing well in the airplay charts. Its a very catchy, commercial song which is one of the best from his also good album also called 'Undiscovered'. Hope it gets a good video and gets top 15 AT LEAST though it really does deserve top 5 nevermind top 10.
