Update on Friday's Jo Whiley show which I've been wading through: she played Newton Faulkner at around 1hr 50, and then said how she saw him last night along with Will Young and Adele and that "everyone was really, really good". Of Adele she said various things about her wonderful voice and how she likes to talk to the audience a lot, "like Will Young", then went on to wax lyrical about Newton Faulkner, about how it was one man and his guitar playing Bhomenian Rhapsody "leaving nothing out", how it was inspired and how he's touring, there's tickets and how very entertaining he was. So it's true, Will just got lumped in with everyone else nothing individual to him.. :rolleyes: If she does think he's great, can she really not say on Radio 1..? Pathetic! :rolleyes:

I agree - didn't like her mentioning Pop Idol all these years on as if that the only way she could relate to his fans.. :angry: And if she knows so much about the music scene why didn't she already know Will had a fantastic band?? She tells porkies as well - she told Chris Moyles the gig for last night was sold out when he said he couldn't go, and then we read that only 250 fans were there to see Bono and The Edge as a surprise act. :naughty:

So far all I've heard is her talking to Moyles where he says he was supposed to be seeing Will Young the night before and she says "Adele was brilliant". WTF??? Someone on Devoted said she said Adele was the best but I've not heard that. But why the hell couldn't she say he was great if she does "love him to bits" as she told us.. Is her street cred so important?

I've had a brilliant time today watching the Abba / Big Band weeks of Pop Idol then the FC dvd. The latter is just so good :yahoo: I don't have any problem with how he's grown in the intervening time, it's all him so I'm quite happy. I think it'll be the KO tour stuff tomorrow. :cheer:

I've found myself wandering over here as well in recent days - always knew it's a lovely forum but I am going to try and participate more from now on! :D

Surely she'll ask how the new music's going and he'll say "really great, I hope to have the new album out beofre the end of the year" - well I can dream! This is proving much harder than I imagined.

I think you could well be right. There have been all sorts of tensions building over there for a long time, and it doesn't take much for them to surface under different guises. :(
