  1. Wouldn't it sound great acoustic?
  2. Untouchable is THE best single by GA, and possibly in the last few years, it's absolutely stunning and should be no.1 for the rest of the year lol. I'm just being honest, I expected more <_<
  3. Easy, they had one sphere that they took turns filming to a GREEN background, and the special effects aren't anything extraordinary, it's all computer imagery. Anyway, it's growing on me, but i'm still disappointed, I wanted something BEAUTIFUL!
  4. 2nd watch i love the bit with Earth and they appear one by one :) it very very cheaply made though!
  5. Oh no on first watch I didn't like it :( very SKO which I didn't like anyway. Sayin that though, I doubt any video could truly reflect how outstanding it is :)

    lol I want her gloves!!!
  7. Always liked her but the dance move during wake me up - 'Was it just the margarita's or are you lookin at me' bit made her my firm 2nd fave after Nic, anyone remember that? She does it on every tour (I really don't wanna explain the moves ;) ) that and Nic's 'off you heeeeeeaaaaaaddd' vocals make wake me up my fave live  Anyway I digress, Cheryl cole - Girl power for the 21st century :D

reminds me of Caprice's photo with the masking tape lol so no underwater then? Or maybe two main scenes to the vid?!
  9. OMG I'm so excited! At work and can't concentrate, it's pathetic but I don't care - GA are my world lol 4.5hrs to go
  10. Beat me to it lol
  11. Is this it?: OMG have they used a vocoder?!!!! Its amazin, still got beautiful robots/candle in my hand/standin in dark!! Cut Nic at beginnin tho i think. I need this on my iPod!!!!!! NOW!!!!!
  12. Yeah I think I agree, if you mean like when a single is released on a friday so it can gain momentum and maximise sales sun-sat the following week. i.e. it can take DAYS for a song to climb up iTunes (however popular) so entering prior to the big CD release is vital to maximise sales that week - it's almost like people don't search for songs, they just check if it's on the top 100 and buy it when it is (this is perhaps even more significant with the iTunes top 10 where every user see's the song's out as it's on the homepage). Sorry for waffling, hope it makes sense
  13. I opted for the Promise too. I adore TLK but recently (prob cos of the Brits) I've found a new love for Promise, it's the opening music du du du do do doo do do do :P and yes, it will be THE GA track they're remembered for
  14. From Jay at Haven: Top girl group album sales as of 01.03.09 2,928,000 Spice Girls - Spice (#1) [15 weeks] 1,576,000 Spice Girls - Spiceworld (#1) [3 weeks] 1,330,000 All Saints - All Saints (#2) 1,210,000 The Pussycat Dolls - PCD (#7) 1,180,000 Eternal - Always & Forever (#2) 1,020,000 Destiny's Child - Survivor (#1) 995,000 Girls Aloud - The Sound Of Girls Aloud: The Greatest Hits (#1) [1 week] 970,000 Destiny's Child - The Writing's On The Wall (#10) 917,000 Sugababes - Angels With Dirty Faces (#2) GA have officially past the million figure now, and I can see them overtaking Survivor pretty soon  if it weren't for PCD they'd have the biggest selling girl group album (in the UK) of the last 10 years :cheer:
  15. SO looking forward to this single  I'd like MOY as a b-side, but it is being very very very overhyped and I don't think it would actually be that big as a single (I do love it but everyone's going on as if it'd be number 1 for months!). I'd like tracklist to be: Single Edit MOY Anything recorded from GA Party (live) That'd be enough for me  For the video... god knows, I need to wee just thinking of it
  16. 110k definitely, I'm gonna say it'll be at 130k at least by the end of the year (the Sats sell approx. 1k every week with ITIL and they're around no.160). Also, so glad iTunes is now top 300, we'll see the effect of early hype/buzz/promo for Untouchable soon :) Do we think The Promise can surpass 450k?
  17. Sound of the underground (2003) I suppose I'm happy with all, especially Life Got Cold  I hate jump tho <_< but it was a wise move, big hit which I think was an important milestone in their transition from reality tv stars to bonafide singers (I don't know about you, but I rarely think of them as Popstars The Rival contestants!) What will the neighbours say? (2004) Perfect in every way - Wake Me Up is sooo good, even better live (Nic: I think your off your heeeeaaaaaddd  ) Chemistry (2005) I loved Long Hot Summer, Biology and See The Day, bit controversial but I'd have released Watch Me Go rather than Whole Lotta History (I liked it at the time, very Spice Girlsy but I hardly ever play it now, and it's the point on tour I go pee pee or for drinks) Sound Of Girls Aloud (2006) Sorry but Think We're Alone Now shouldn't have been released, and they were especially right not to release Money (I'd have loved Singapore tho, but it wouldn't have been a hit) Tangled up (2007) I'm happy with all three (you can't deny Speak French was a fantastic shock hit I love it but never expected it to sell like it has!) This Era and SKO I think were where GA really became big respected stars (sceptics: even before Chez did X Factor). But Girl Overboard is MEGA MEGA MEGA (should've heard me scream on tour lol my fave's were first!) Out of control (2008) Perfect so far, the first time they've released singles EXACTLY as I would've liked  My mates say they need a traditional GA single (fast) I'm not sure if I agree, the formula of midtempo tracks is working great for them. But saying that I'd love Miss You Bow Wow as a single Whatever my thoughts though - Sound Of Girls Aloud (modified on my iTunes to include other singles) is a FANTASTIC greatest hits that I never ever get bored of and never skip tracks, the girls and every single released are just fantastic. I love GA :yahoo:
  18. Oh the suspense!! Changing it at the last minute makes me wanna know what the 2 songs were now!!! Arrgghhh - gotta be a well known favourite then, I'm thinking Miss You Bow Wow or Untouchable for defo now, they're raved about on all the GA forums, also, Untouchable could be shortened/tweaked and make people buy it whereas Miss You Bow Wow would probably/hopefully remain the same - remix means more sales y'all  C'mon Untouchable pleeeeeaaassseee
  19. oh god, I never post, just linger, but that made me lol :D
  20. I've heard TT are doing a few dates at Man Utd, they're not on sale yet are they? Well, apparently GA will support them, I used to work there and have been asked to work it, I said HELL NO! Haha, dunno of dates etc yet...
  21. I have it on good authority that they are supporting TT...
  22. I've been a huge fan since Bedtime Stories and with each release I've loved Madonna more and more. Hard Candy, however, has appauled me! For a number of reasons: 1. Mdolla - cringeworthy! Least Mimi etc is a nickname, Mdolla is just Madge tryin to be 'cool' 2. Kanye, Pharrell - two artists I hate 3. Lyrically it's disgraceful! She's not me she'll never have my name?!? Maybe it was just me but I thought she had depth before this? 4. Production - The album just doesn't flow, the beats and swirling vocals just make it one big messy headache it's got too much going on if that makes sense? 5. Artwork - oh jesus! She looks like SHRILEY FROM EASTENDERS!!!! Anyone agree? Like an old hooker and the lyrics about sex mixed with the artwork makes me heave 6. Originality (or lack of) - A key element of my love for Madonna was her changing styles and image, I truely felt she was a leader not a follower, but this isn't original at all, she just jumped on the R+B bandwaggon, this has all been done far far better by Nelly Furtado. On a positive note: 1. Her voice at times sounds like Into The Groove era - which I love 2. She seems like she's having fun (even if I'm not) 3. Erm, that's it

But surely all the summer shows etc would be great publicity for a 4th single? Personally I'm worried if it'd go top 10 anyway - they're doing great releasing tracks fairly atypical for them (Call The Shots and French). If they went back to the oumph attitude pop of Girl Overboard and the like I think they'd struggle (even though I prefer that style lol). Black Jacks is perhaps the one I'd be most comfortable with - something about the opening lines just makes me sing at top of my voice ha ha. And I think it's more edgy for them too.
