I followed Robyn from the beginning, I love her :wub: Not got new album cos I got it on import years ago. Gutted now cos With Every Heartbeat is amazing but not on my version, you can't download it either on iTunes :cry: Have to say though, it's not her strongest album, Robyn Is Here and Don't Stop The Music are much stronger. My faves are Be Mine (gotta be next single now she's gettin popular), You got that somethin' and O Baby. And re: bev knight - Robyn's version is better, bev sings it too softly for me, it's supposed to be attitude <_< it makes me laugh how Bev fans and the media make her out to be this big raw talent, I just find everything about her is overrated (except recent chart placings :lol: ) since the 'Gold' era.

I got 4 copiesfrom 4 different digital stores, maybe it's doing better on other charts like tesco/hmv/virgin... I'm worried though, the campaign (quite rightly) said 2nd July, the big day has come and passed, I fear only casual onlookers on iTunes chart will see it and purchase. Maybe when it enters the chart in next midweek it will pick up some press :huh:

I seen Mel C live 3 times - there's no doubting she has talent and live she really is amazing. I saw Mel B too, great performance though mimed - same for Geri... My view then - Mel C best live by far (vocal and crowd interaction) but performance wise she has to be near bottom of the pile :puke2:

In 'If Only' or 'just for the record' she says part of the reason was because they wanted a more r&b style and she didn't think that was her. A year after leaving she says she saw a billboard advertisement in USA whilst driving and realised she'd done the right thing (I think they were dressed in leather, the Holler promo stuff). She knew she was going to leave and informed the group (others have confirmed this, mel c) during the tour, they wanted her to complete the tour which she had a go at but in the end just fled! If you can get hold of any of the pics of geri around this period she does look depressed and her 'transformation' was already taking shape (hair straight and dull coloured, black clothes). Aside from that rather nice reason - she said in the documentary that she felt pushed out of the group "by one particular member", whether this was because they knew she wanted or was part of her reason for wanting to leave is still unknown. Hope that helps :)
