A lil' article on this: Brandweek reported that Kevin Federline will star in the first ad campaign from Five Star Vintage, a young men’s collection from Blue Marlin, San Francisco. The ads, created in-house, break in September issues of Stuff, Complex, Nylon and URB and run through year’s end. In addition, behind-the-scenes footage of the photo shoot will run on video Web site youtube.com. A sneak-peek promo also will run on myspace.com and imeem.com. The campaign targets an elusive male demo, the street-savvy 16-28 year-old who reads Complex from cover-to-cover and takes his style cues from the celebrities shown in the magazine. In the first two images, Federline is wearing jackets, which sell for $59-79 at Macy’s, Lord & Taylor, Virgin Megastore and Kitson’s, a trendy L.A. outlet. “It’s a strong visual image,†said Kenneth Loo, director of marketing at Blue Marlin, who parlayed his Hollywood connections into the Federline deal. “Kevin represents the brand well. I always thought we were both completely different artists. It's like comparing Miro to Dali. I respect her a lot, she's very professional in what she does and she's earned all the fame and success she has. She's decidely a very talented and hard working woman, a great woman from the entertainment business, but I believe that what she does, and what I do are two very different things. People have compared me to other singers, like Alanis Morissette and Celine Dion, for example. Maybe we all have something in common. It's probably very normal at the beginning, when people aren't too familiarized with what you're trying to do, they place you in a category until they finally know you. I'm sure that people listen to my music and read my lyrics and know who I am, and where I come from, what my motivations ares and what I'm made of. Those who simply see me on tv shaking my hips, maybe believe that's what I do for a living, but that's not the case. During an interview on MTV Canada's Etalk Daily, Pink revealed her greatest "Guilty Pleasure" is watching Britney' first syndicated role in Crossroads.
