Witnesses suggested Lily reacted after being heckled as she left Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club at 2am. With a short reach, the punch appeared to fail to connect. The Smile singer's friends, including TV presenter Miquita Oliver, then managed to restrain Lily, persuading her to get into a car. Lily's target appeared to laugh off the attack, looking more bemused than terrified. Lily and her friends had started their night at the Groucho Club, before heading to Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club. Earlier in the evening, Lily was in a friendlier mood as she chatted to photographers outside Ronnie Scott's and playfully punched the air. She told the paparazzi that their attention made her feel like a zoo animal and suggested she entertain them with a joke.

Katy Perry's boyfriend has a crush on Lily! The reported rivalry between US singer Katy Perry and her rival Lily Allen took a new turn when Perry's boyfriend revealed that he has a crush on Allen. Perry is dating Tarvis McCoy from the rock band Gym Class Heroes, reports thesun.co.uk. When asked if he has any crushes on any celebrities, he said: "Lily Allen. I met her before very briefly. She's cute. Yeah... I'd like to see her again." Perry is set to release her new album soon, but Allen has postponed her next album release for fear of competition.

I just sweetly say, 'No, thank you'. If I kissed everybody who asked, I'd probably go away with something I don't really want!" She added: "I'm not a lesbian, I love men. As for kissing a girl, I'm holding out for Megan Fox."

I think that if they are working then they should be able to vote. Maybe somehow only those who are in full-time employment should be able to vote, because some 16-year olds wouldn't have a clue, while others would. I just think young people need to be taught more about politics and how it affects them.

Lily Allen's panic button Lily Allen is warning robbers not to try and break into her new home - for she's got a panic button installed there. The 'Smile' singer moved into her new luxury pad recently, and has had a string of highsecurity devices installed. "Don't get too excited, burglars, I've got metal roller blinds that go down at night and a panic button by my bed," the Mirror quoted her, as saying. And though she doesn't have a panic room in the flat as yet, she's not ruling out installing one. "No panic room though... food for thought." Allen also admitted that it felt 'really weird' living alone in her flat after 'sofa surfing and living in hotels' for a couple of years. "I've been in my new flat a week and it's been an OK move. I've been sofa surfing and living in hotels for two years so it's really weird being in this place alone," she said.

Al Fayed offers Lily discount! Mohammed Al Fayed has helped Lily Allen move home by offering her store discounts, say reports. According to The Mirror, the Harrods boss has given Allen a washing machine and dishwasher at a cut "well over half price". Allen is friends with the shopkeeper's daughter Camilla, who asked her father for the favour. "Lily's flat is lovely, but it helps when you've got friends in high places," said a source. "When she told Camilla she was moving into her new place she jumped into action and asked her dad if he could help Lily out. Of course he said 'yes'. Not all of it was free, but he gave Lily a massive discount. He is always very generous with his friends."

Lily Allen to compete for 'Greenest Star' Sienna Miller and Lily Allen are competing to be named the greenest star on the planet, Metro reports. The Brit stars have made it into the top 10 green shortlist at Playhouse Disney's Playing For The Planet Awards. Other celebrities to make the list include Lily Cole, Stella McCartney, Madonna and Johnny Depp. Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow secured a joint nomination. Leonardo DiCaprio, who fronted eco-documentary The 11th Hour, and Doctor Who star David Tennant were also recognised. Lily meets up with London Mayor! Lily Allen and London mayor Boris Johnson have met to discuss plans to tackle rising knife crime in the capital. The Smile star had written an appeal on her MySpace page calling for an end to stabbings among London teenagers, with 20 killed as a result of knives in 2008 alone. "My thoughts are with all the families affected by these heinous crimes," the 22-year-old had written earlier this month. "We need a knife amnesty, we should put on a big concert to raise awareness and stop the violence. Boris, if you're listening, call me man!" And the young singer has now met with the newly-installed mayor to discuss ways in which to deal with the apparent epidemic after he expressed his pleasure at her using her celebrity to make a stand against knife crime. A statement issued by City Hall after Wednesday's meeting said: "Lily had a number of suggestions on how to challenge the notion that carrying a knife is streetwise or cool. "She also had proposals to encourage teenagers to be more ambitious about themselves and their communities." Mr Johnson added: "I welcome any constructive suggestions on combating knife crime and Lily Allen has already proved her commitment to help address this problem. I welcome her proposals and am keen to explore further how she can help us address this serious and distressing problem. "There is nothing romantic or glamorous about knife crime and I'm delighted Lily will be using her considerable profile and fan base to spread that message."

Oasis and Lily for knife crime awareness? Oasis and Lily Allen have reportedly been lined up for a knife crime awareness concert in London. The show, which is rumoured to be taking place at Finsbury Park in September, may also feature performances from ska veterans Madness and American R&B star Kelly Rowland. According to BBC 6 Music, the gig would host 39,000 fans and has the backing of London Mayor Boris Johnson and the Metropolitan Police. Oasis' Noel Gallagher recently spoke out about rising knife crime in Britain, telling the BBC: "In my day, status was trying to be somebody, do you know what I mean? Not trying to kill somebody."

Mark Ronson asks for Lily Advice! The super-producer, who is dating British model Daisy Lowe, often quizzes the 'Smile' singer about what to wear and what to buy as presents for people. He said: "I called Lily this morning to ask her for advice on what to buy my sister Henrietta. Lily is really good and sweet like that. She said, 'There's this cool bag and I'm calling Chanel right now. Just drop by and pick it up!' Which I did." Mark also revealed he is very happy in his relationship with 19-year-old model Daisy Lowe, and appreciates the way she keeps him grounded.

Yeah everything Jark said, plus her debut album she's been working on it for 4 years and in an interview she was like it's very diverse and such, I can't wait! I'm hoping for pop/rock songs like 'Your New Girlfriend'.

Yeah she is better at acting, but she has always done singing so it's not suddenly of I'll turn to singing. Because she was on Disney and such.

Yeah it's a shame really, Hayden has always seemed so clean-cut and everything. I think because it's for candies, they get shots of the clothes and such, like knickers and all that. I hope she comes back with a better second single if she does, because I don't like people hating Hayden cause' of it :(

To be fair I doubt she had any control over the song whatsoever, so it's not her fault it's unoriginal and all that. I like this song because Hayden is amazing, and I like anything she does. But I don't think it's suited to her, and the video she looks gorgeous but I dunno. I wish she could go back 'Your New Girlfriend' kinda thing, she's actually not that bad.
