By the way Sweet Melody was actually written by MNEK and the other writers in a writing camp for Demi Lovato (we don't know if it was for TMYLM or her upcoming album tho), then it was rejected by other pop girls (Zara, Selena, Jojo and Hailee Stenifeld) and then it went to Little Mix who loved it immediately.

I really hope Sweet Melody will keep the momentum it gained in these last few days and grab a week at #1, this week it's the highest charting non-Christmas song so I think it is possible

Sorry if this isn't the right thread, I'm just wondering since Sweet Melody is #1 on Amazon music and Confetti is #1 too in the albums chart, will that have some kind of impact on the official charts or are amazon's streaming numbers too low compared to Spotify and Apple Music?

Can you really call a song a flop when it's been out for two weeks while the charts are flooded with Christmas song? I'm not saying it's definitely going to be a hit in the future but at least give it some time.

Sweet Melody would be the dream, but they'd need really well done promo in January and their team seems kinda lazy this era (of course it's difficult because of covid but still)

Taylor is going to get yet another deserved #1 album and hopefully, with the hype from folklore, her second #1 single (I know that's highly unlikely but let me hope lol)

I don't know if I can ask it here but what is SCR? And how do you know it's going to happen that week? At this point I have accepted that SM's peak is going to be #3 too, at least it saved the Confetti era on the singles chart.

I'm really happy for Kelly because she really deserves to go top 10 this year, but all this Christmas flooding is definitely going to prevent Sweet Melody from reaching a new peak, since I don't think it'll have enough momentum in January.
