  1. I take it you don't mean 'radical' in the Yes Minister sense... :P
  2. Who's denying that right? You *had* a referendum in 2014! You're arguing *against* a PR voting system? I find it ironic that Scotland argues that UK needs the EU so as not to be a 'small fish in a big pond', yet wants to do the same isolation trick itself?
  3. I agree, provided the comparison is apt... I have confidence in the checks & balances of the Constitution, which Nazi Germany didn't have.
  4. Comparing anyone to Hitler is never useful.
  5. You're still pushing this line, when it didn't work in the UK very recently either?
  6. I am not defending this, merely pointing out that proof is needed for allegations like this. Also, how can you tell the difference between only 'appearing to be willing' and actually being willing?
  7.
  8. Their willingness is the *crucial* issue here. If they are willing, then there is no problem - if they are not, then that is exploitation and hardly a positive thing!
  9. Are you seriously accusing me of 'trolling' on this to try and get me banned? I asked a genuine question as to whether she had actual evidence to support her allegations, there was no trolling involved.
  10. "Jess Phillips, the Labour MP for Birmingham Yardley, has now launched a petition calling on the prime minister to withdraw the whip from Mr Wallis. Her petition says: "Let's be clear: sugar daddy is a euphemism for something deeply ugly: exploitation of women by powerful men." What evidence, other than her own feminist agenda, does she have that any such women were unwilling participants?
  11. I dare say MI5/6 know all about them anyway, after all, that's *their* job. ;) Back to the point though - how did the press find out about the story in the first place, and how long in the past was it? The general principle being, everyone has skeletons in their closet, but should they be eternally 'damned' for actions which may have happened decades ago?
  12. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2020/j...sh-independence OK, not technically a 'foot-shoot', but still a revealing article.
  13. Surely you're not hinting that we look closely into Tory MP's backgrounds, but leave Labour MP's alone?
  14. I notice you don't dispute the left-leaning part...
  15. Alas I have no regular source of info for the compilation chart.
  16. Boris should remove the whip from him for now, but start having the background of newly elected Labour MP's closely looked into as well... ;)
  17. I've been doing a rough & ready calculation on the rate of % decrease in album sales after week 1... Week 1-2 : -60% (3/5ths) Week 2-3 : -30% (3/10ths) Week 3-4 : -20% (1/5th) Week 4-5 : -17% (1/6th) There's a lot a variation depending on artist/genre etc, but those seem to be a reasonable average decline. Regards,

And the terrorists certainly claim to be at war with the West!

Did *anyone* here? I certainly didn't.
  20. What does 'win' even mean in this context? ISTM Bernie Sanders is America's version of Corbyn, i.e. too left-leaning to ever get elected - but time will tell...

Not *another* conspiracy theory... It sometimes seems as if *anything* that isn't the way you want it to be, is down to a conspiracy, rather than you simply being mistaken...
  23. That's not what Chris said. Besides, we've had endless opposition amendments on Brexit for the past 3.5 years. The only difference now is that the gov't doesn't have to fight it's own backbenchers as well as the opposition, to reject them.
  24. I wonder if the House of Lords will make trouble with the Brexit Withdrawal bill, or will they abide by the Salisbury Convention? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salisbury_Convention They HoL will eventually lose though, due to... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parliament_Acts_1911_and_1949
