That infamous margin, too... ;) I agree that being acquitted doesn't mean he didn't do it - that's the same as any trial, but in the eyes of the law, he *has* been cleared. BTW, have you cleared space in your inbox yet, Michael?
  2. If that's your criterion, does that mean you will stop asking me to justify my Brexit vote? I know you don't consider my answer valid, but that doesn't mean I *haven't* answered. This is not a digression, but an analogy. Regards
  3. Asking questions you genuinely want the answer to, is not trolling!
  4. Are you addressing Chris or myself here?
  5. So the SNP want Scotland want to be independent - fair enough. So why can't Remainers understand Leavers desire to be free of the EU - it's just another form of independence...
  6. Boris Johnson could SUSPEND European human rights laws to reverse automatic early release for terrorists as Labour's Shami Chakrabati and civil rights groups hint at legal challenge New legislation would stop extremists being freed unless Parole Board agreed Shami Chakrabarti said she would be opposed to 'changing sentences' Civil liberties group Liberty called the move to keep terrorists locked up 'dangerous' Meanwhile, government refused to rule out 'suspending' ECHR to facilitate move Michael Gove said terrorists should be imprisoned indefinitely 'if necessary' https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-79...sts-prison.html

I wonder if record companies are learning to manipulate the charts to avoid ACR?
  8. Careful Chris, you'll be accused of 'trolling' again...
  9. A conflict between two protected minority groups - could be interesting...
  10. I do usually tend to avoid it, because it's too easily to unknowingly offend - I NEVER EVER set out to deliberately offend!
  11. Are you assuming I am someone that objects to immigrants speaking their own language? I have never said any such thing - please don't make any such unfounded assumptions about me.
  12. But it's part of my posting style. :(
  13. Would it be better if we all thought the same?
  14. Obviously 2 posters hence my quoting them both. Agreed.

    1. Which is probably why most can't remember them - I can remember little from when I was 6-10 years old. 2. The trial process was corrupted from the start - clearly politically partisan on both sides.

I doubt more than a tiny % of Americans could. I remember a scene in Friends where they tried to name all the States, and failed miserably. :)
  17. Both fascism and communism? I agree it was an unwise move to try & exclude certain parts of the media though.
  18. Have any WW2 UXB's actually gone off in recent decades?
  19. I don't think it was that JC was seen as anti-Semitic, rather that he wasn't seen to deal with the issue. I only ever read them online, so that would be rather expensive in computers. :heehee: Don't hold your breath, then. Another change in nickname, Michael? I'd guess well over 90%, perhaps more like 95%. But surely the arguments for Independence should be strong enough that you shouldn't have to rely on older people dying to achieve it?
  20. That's due to experience, not exposure to PC.
  21. Not much - I think the topic drifted. I have no problem with gay people having the same rights as anyone else, and no, my attitude has changed in the 35+ years since I was a teen. You see opposition to PC as inextricably linked to the Tories, then.
  22. The side that opposes the unrestricted advance of PC.
  23. Yes that's one of the articles I saw, and while he comes off looking daft, he doesn't actually say in so many words 'Britain is not an island'.
