  1. The 2016 vote has been dismissed by some as 'only advisory' - the 2019 GE result *cannot* be...
  2. T60 yes, T50 no. :(
  3. It'll be hell for them, and for the LD's, if they're still serious about electoral reform. :P
  4. Really? My impression is that it's been roughly 50/50. If that's the case, then so it should - it's the PM's job to carry the can. The main difference this time is that he was still in his honeymoon period.
  5. Nah, I'm not Michael... :heehee:
  6. True, but I thought I should clear up any misconception.
  7. You are all assuming I voted Tory, whereas I actually chose to spoil my ballot paper.
  8. non sequitur. ;)
  9. *I* don't have a passport or driving licence...
  10. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-2019-50704706 It will campaign for changes to the voting system and the abolition of the House of Lords, he told Sky News *********************** I suspect that will cause problems for many here, as they *want* voting reform (dunno about HoL abolition) but don't like the potential messenger.
  11. Surely it would only suppress anti-tory voting if people were illegally living here/registered?
  12. Did we? :
  13. Thank you for the clarification. :)
  14. Something I feel I should remind people of, is that the last 9 years of small/no majorities is the exception, rather than the rule, historically. Working majorities used to be seen as a *good* thing, as you avoid the kind of stagnation we've seen for the last decade. Just saying...
  15. Pardon me, but I have said many times that I support electoral reform, STV specifically. However, I am also a realist.
  16. They act on the suggestions each party makes
  17. There's plenty of time before 2024, I suppose. How many times?! The boundary review is independent!
  18. Somehow I don't think that turkeys will vote for Xmas, though... :(
  19. Fair enough, but you know what Michael is like. ;)
  20. V2 : YTD Sales : Please read these guidelines before you request sales estimates, it makes my task a lot easier. 1. Be specific - please name the artist and title for each entry you'd like an estimate for. 2. I log sales for all albums that have charted this year, but only update those that have sold enough to reach my 200 position tracking range 3. If an album isn't in the current Top 100, I won't be able to update its sales until Tues. Also, please don't ask about ex-T100 albums too often - once a month at most) 4. Remember to check the thread before requesting estimates - they may already have been answered. Also, no more than half-a-dozen requests at a time, thanks. 5. Please note my figures are combined sales & streams, and since I have no way of separating them, I cannot provide a split. 6. While I am no longer estimating singles sales, I can provide YTD singles positions from C+, and I am still maintaining my sales archive based on published figures (PM me if you want to see it) Thank you. 21. They wouldn't need to, when they have a perfectly legitimate way of doing so already, via Boundary Reviews. To clarify (mostly for Michael) - Boundary reviews are not *designed* to help the Tories, but to equalize electorate sizes. But due to the tendency for Tory constituencies to grow over time, and Labour ones to shrink, you get a situation where it takes fewer votes on average to elect a Labour MP than a Tory one.
  22. What happened to the 'youthquake'? IMO, Labour lost more Leave supporters than they gained through young ones.
  23. Indeed - but then Michael tends to claim that any attempt to review controls by the gov't, secretly means abolish them... :teresa:
  24. Legally he doesn't have to, but there *would* be a moral obligation to. Rather like Momentum attempts to deselect non-Corbyn-supporting Labour MP's?
  25. You're preaching to the converted here. :) Just realized, Boris can easily push through those boundary changes now...
