  1. News flash, they do pay taxes. And btw, despite my views, I always post politely (unless attacked), perhaps you could reciprocate?
  2. If you think merely saying 'the end' automatically wins you the argument, you are very much mistaken.
  3. I do not see a contradiction there, as I know there are people who still consider homosexuality a sin (mostly religious types), and clearly *they* would not be bothered by it. That is the *aim*, but no-one whose brain cells can be counted on more than one hand believes it will be a magic cure.
  4. Than it's fortunate that that is not what I was doing. I am not claiming that it is not a homophobic slur, as to do so would be ridiculous - only that I can understand why others would not be so bothered by it. In any case, if everything else in the campaign has not changed people's voting intentions, I severely doubt this alleged comment will.
  5. I notice you didn't dispute my comment about older people being less bothered by its use, though.
  6. Oh, very altruistic, planning to forcibly extract *other peoples* money to finance their unrealistic program...
  7. It is *now*, but IMO older voters are less likely to be bothered by its use.
  8. Whereas Labour are so altruistic?
  9. If you are referring to me & Chris, we have as much right to express our opinions as anyone else.
  10. Perhaps older Tory voters were raised in an era when attitudes were different, and are therefore less bothered by comments like this?
  11. I got a message of 'This media cannot be played'.
  12. IMO your attitude is unnecessarily pessimistic. Over the last 18 months I have had to make use of the NHS on a regular basis, and have had no significant reason to complain.
  13. OK, I'll give you Skinner, but not the LD's, from the example we had here in Cheltenham.
  14. Obviously it isn't. We're heading down the road towards a ridiculous situation whereby Boris is blamed when someone so much as stubs their toe
  15. But he's not receiving the same level of ire from ordinary voters, or such is my perception...
  16. I don't think the 'shy Tory' factor can be dismissed - given the reaction in most places to Boris's name, would *anyone* want to admit they were going to vote Tory? In the secrecy of the ballot box, however...
  17. Can you name one offhand?
  18. Then perhaps you'll be more careful, and only mention my name iro posts I've directly spoken about - Thank you.
  19. I'm serious - an employer is not going to pay you the same wage for working 32 hours, as they were for 40.
  20. I have never mentioned the Sun once throughout the campaign.
  21. So, a 20% pay-cut then?
  22. It isn't, per se, but the claim that almost everyone does, does not hold up - otherwise they would not be in government now, and looking the favourites to retain that position on Thursday,
  23. Really - I never noticed.
  24. Do you actually read what you write? You've just advocated a voting system specifically designed to exclude one political party! What is democratic about that?
