  1. I would be surprised, given the variety of bizarre degree courses out there... Err... you do realize that nothing is 'free' - it all has to be paid by taxpayers. Also, since that burden would inevitably fall mostly on those who've long since finished their education, and often didn't have equivalent opportunities when they were young, it's hardly surprising they'd resent the idea of paying for something they'd get no benefit from!
  2. Economic equality is a pipe dream - it destroys the incentive to work at both ends of the scale - the unskilled put in no effort because they know the state will make up any shortfall, and the highly skilled will have little incentive to work hard because they know the state will appropriate the fruits of their efforts. I withdraw that allegation, as long as mere hearsay allegations against Tories as being former fascists are also acknowledged as such.
  3. Do you trust the electorate?
  4. Then you won't want to hear how some current Labour members were communists in their youth...
  5. Only because the definition of bigotry has expanded an absurd amount in the last several decades. In the 70's, it was almost only used for the Nazis, and people who paraded round in white hoods and burned crosses. Nowadays you risk accusation if you so much as look away from a same-sex couple displaying affection in public, or use a 'wrong' pronoun.
  6. I thought about posting this myself, but I doubt anyone else but us would like the source. ;)
  7. Dumping Corbyn will be a necessity if they lose a 2nd election under him...
  8. I think the last time I went was the first Christopher Reeve Superman movie, in 1978. As you can probably tell, I'm not a 'crowd' person. :)
  9. We'll see about that on Dec 12th...
  10. So you agree with *his* prediction because it suits you better... BNP, NF, Britain First etc are not going save any deposits let alone win any seats, so which Racist/fascist parties did you have in mind? Not about one person? That's rich - Labour is 100% about Corbyn!
  11. Very droll.
  12. Expecting a new batch of polls tomorrow...
  13. I guess Michael wants my title as the most stubbornly opinionated poster on this forum... :heehee:
  14. But why would they? Polling companies are not partisan, and if their polls are seen to be inaccurate they will lose business from their non-political clients.
  15. Incorrect - I don't care enough to be concerned what Trump does or doesn't say.
  16. How are they fake? Are you suggesting they don't actually ask people who they intend to vote for, and just completely pull figures out of the air?
  17. V2 : YTD Sales : Please read these guidelines before you request sales estimates, it makes my task a lot easier. 1. Be specific - please name the artist and title for each entry you'd like an estimate for. 2. I log sales for all albums that have charted this year, but only update those that have sold enough to reach my 200 position tracking range 3. If an album isn't in the current Top 100, I won't be able to update its sales until Tues. Also, please don't ask about ex-T100 albums too often - once a month at most) 4. Remember to check the thread before requesting estimates - they may already have been answered. Also, no more than half-a-dozen requests at a time, thanks. 5. Please note my figures are combined sales & streams, and since I have no way of separating them, I cannot provide a split. 6. While I am no longer estimating singles sales, I can provide YTD singles positions from C+, and I am still maintaining my sales archive based on published figures (PM me if you want to see it) Thank you. 18. I agree, but not to the extent of MM's near paranoia.
  19. What does it matter if he has or not?
  20. He's the PM, FFS! If Labour win the election you can bet Corbyn won't be allowed to travel by bus!
  21. Yet another reason I favour STV...
  22. Wonder whether he will be re-elected as Ind.Lab, though?

  24. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2019/no...d-over-lgbt-row In two elections he raised Lab's voteshare from 33% to 77%, yet they are dropping him?
