    New review added.
  2. I believe it's because it's the review with the most thumb-ups which gets published as the main one?

releases; week #02 2010 singles; This week is another slow week, with only six singles getting a full release. Guillemots lead single Fyfe Dangerfield releases his debut solo single 'She Needs Me'; taken of his debut record 'Fly Yellow Moon', set for release next week. Coming off the back of four top 40 singles, and two top 20 albums with his band, it will be interesting to see what impact he has on the chart this coming week. We also see limited releases with new singles by Good Shoes and These New Puritans respectively, although both are doubtful to make an effect on the chart this week. On the download side of things, there are a few major releases which could catch peoples attention this week. We see the release of Jay-Z's new single 'Young Forever', which features Kanye West protégé Mr. Hudson. Jay-Z (real name Shawn Carter), will be looking to build on mega hits 'Run This Town' and 'Empire State of Mind'. The song has already reached #27 in the UK, and will no doubt climb the chart with increased publicity and video play in the coming weeks. Carter's latest record 'The Blueprint 3' has already sold well over two million copies worldwide since its release last September. Also released this week is Jordin Sparks' third UK single from her second album 'Battlefield', named 'Don't Let it Go To Your Head'. Both previous releases from her second record have made their way into the UK top 20, but with limited publicity for this new release it remains to be seen if this one can match up in the charts. Also this week we see new releases from 'Stop and Stare' stars OneRepublic with 'All The Right Moves', Paolo Nutini with '10/10' and punk rock band Alkaline Trio with 'This Addiction', amongst others. albums; Vampire Weekend present their second album 'Contra' this week, the follow up to critically acclaimed self-titled debut record. 'Contra' includes the single 'Cousins' and the free release from last year 'Horchata', and you can listen to it all on their official Myspace page. 'Contra' has been met with similarly strong reviews by most music critics, and it will be interesting to see how well the record does in the chart over the coming weeks. In the case of their debut album, it charted strongly to start but as mainstream coverage increased, it finally made a peak of #15 nearly three months after initial release, and went on to spend over 35 weeks over the chart. Manchester born indie band Delphic release their debut album 'Acolyte' this week off the back of a lot of mainstream press and hype surrounding the band in the past few weeks. The band, said to sound a bit like Bloc Party, have also been named #3 on the BBC Sound of 2010 list, and whilst that can help a lot of acts, others haven't been able to deal with the pressure that this new found 'fame' brings. Other releases this week include You Me at Six's second release 'Hold Me Down', the follow up to their 2008's #25 album 'Take Off Your Colours'. The band have built up a bit of a following over the last few years, so I would expect this album to do as well if not better than their previous album. Dutch Pop start Esmee Denters releases her debut record 'Outta Here' in the UK as well this week, despite it already being available in other countries since early last year. Her only over previous hit in the UK was the single of the same name as the album; 'Outta Here' made #07 back in August 2009. Also released are All Angels 'Fly Away', Ok Go 'Of the Blue Colour of the Sky' and Sinitta's 'Greatest Hits'. in depth; Check out these reviews from the review section: You Me At Six 'Hold Me Down' Jay-Z 'Young Forever' (feat. Mr. Hudson) Alkaline Trio 'This Addiction' OneRepublic 'All The Right Moves' Fyfe Dangerfield 'She Needs Me' Plan B 'Stay Too Long' Vampire Weekend 'Contra'

releases; week #01 2009 singles; The first full week of 2010 brings a wide range of full releases in the singles chart. Perhaps the one which will do best in the chart this week is Dutch DJ Sidney Samson’s ‘Riverside (Let’s Go!)’ which is at #02 on the iTunes chart as I write this. Wizard Sleeve also features on this vocal version of the track, which has provided Samson with top 20 hits in Australia, Belgium and Holland. We also welcome the full release of ‘Replay’ from Keidran Jones, better known to the public as Iyaz. His debut single is off his first studio album ‘My Life’; scheduled for release sometime in 2010. The single has already brought him success elsewhere, reaching #02 in America and New Zealand and top 10 in Australia and Canada. The single also sits at #06 on the World Chart, and might just be the start of a bright future for the R&B singer, whose is signed to ‘Beautiful Girls’ singer Sean Kingston’s Beluga Heights company. This week’s chart battle looks like a fight between these two singles, with both looking likely to sell big in their first week on the chart. This week also brings the physical release of the Saturdays ‘Ego’; the second single off their second album ‘Wordshaker’. The single is currently sitting at #17 in the official chart and the girls will be hoping it climbs into the top 10, bringing them their 6th top 10 it in UK. Other releases this week include The Temper Trap’s ‘Fader’ which will be looking to build on previous chart entry 'Sweet Disposition' and possibly scoring a second top 10 hit for the band. This week also sees the release of new singles from Simian Mobile Disco, Yeasayer and Lostprophets amongst others. albums; The first week in 2010 is a very slow week for albums with only two being released. ’Elvis 75’ is a 4cd set which celebrates 75 years since the anniversary of Elvis’ birth, and showcases 100 songs from 1953 and 2002. The only other release is Nick Cave and Warren Ellis’ ’The Road’; the official soundtrack to the film based on the Cormac McCarthy book of the same name. Next week’s chart looks a little more exciting, with releases from Esmee Denters, Vampire Weekend and Delphic amongst others. in depth; For a more in depth look at this week's singles have a look at the following topics: Sydney Sampson 'Riverside (Let's Go!)' 7. Okay, thanks. :P I know it's a lot I'm saying to you haha.
  8. Yeh, that's probably a good idea. Would there be anyway of adding a little orange box like there is for forum topics next to the reviews that show that there is unread comments? And maybe a different colour telling people that there has been another review added for that single / album.
  9. When someone has posted a new review of something that has been already reviewed I think it would be good to have a number next to where it says 'Review Posts' so people looking will know that there is another one as well. And also I think as more people start posting it would be good to expand the 'Last Comments' box as well, because as time goes on there might be some comments people don't notice.
  10. Same. When I'm doing the thumb ratings, I'm rating the quality of the review. I think the star rating on the side should be our opinion on the single / album.
  11. Underneath the rating it says rate the review, not the album / single.
  12. Thanks. (:
  13. Any chance of putting a box like there is for news for reviews on the forum pages?
  14. Links in the actual review. I added a Youtube link / iTunes link and neither of the come up when posted. Also there isn't a 'Preview Post' option; sometimes could be useful if you wan't to proofread what you've done or how it might look.
  15. Yeah I'm getting the edit thing as well. Seems you're not able to add links to the posts either...

He is pretty class. I'm watching it sometimes, gotta say I think the wrestling's better on TNA than WWE. Did you watch Raw last night?
  18. jonny posted a post in a topic in Sports and Fitness
Aye. Do you watch TNA Damon?

    1. CM Punk 2. Natalya 3. Sheamus 4. Christian 5. Jack Swagger 6. Mickie James 7. William Regal 8. Batista 9. Chris Jericho 10. Evan Borune I like that new tag team on ECW as well.
  20. I really don't get 'Stillness is the Move'. I like everything else in the top 10, though.
  21. It upsets me that people care enough to write an article on it. :/ Just goes to show how homophobic the population is if we feel the need to make this a main story in the news.
  22. Will comment when you finish the list but 'Brother Sport' is my favourite so far. :D

  24. Comments on albums I've heard / heard parts of: 80 | Stars - Nightsongs - one of my faves EVER I think. 76 | Vampire Weekend - Vampire Weekend - think this has held up pretty well over the last year or so. Still really like. 75 | Coldplay - Parachutes - I've heard it (ages ago) but it all kinds of blends into one for me. 73 | The Cribs - Mens Needs, Womens Needs, Whatever - my favourite album of 2007. Probably don't like it as much now as I did then but still has some amazing songs on it. 71 | Maximo Park - A Certain Trigger - stunningggggggggggggggggggggg. 'Gone Missing' is my fave from it. 70 | Arcade Fire - Neon Bible - think I am the only person in the world who prefers this over their debut. 69 | TV On The Radio - Dear Science - despite repeated listens I couldn't get into this (save 'Dancing Choose' which I though was pretty good). 63 | Frightened Rabbit - The Midnight Organ Fight - my favourite album of 2k8. Woowoo. 62 | White Lies - To Lose My Life - never got into this. Don't really like anything from it anymore... 61 | Stars - In Our Bedroom After The War - love this album. 57 | Arctic Monkeys - Favourite Worst Nightmare - pretty amazing album as well. My 2nd best of 2007. 55 | Muse - Black Holes & Revelations - not a fan really but I have heard this before. 'Invincible' is my favourite song from this and probably my fave from them ever. 50 | The Futureheads - The Futureheads - I don't like anything from this band before their new album. 48 | Stars - Set Yourself On Fire - another great Stars album. 43 | The Killers - Sam's Town - used to proper love this. I don't really like this anymore though the title track is stunning I think (especially the Abbey Road version).
