Government sued over EMA cut
I would question that too. I cannot speak for the whole demographic but for people who do live further away from college than as to walk there are still heavily subsidised prices available. For the students that do receive EMA and live close enough to go walk to college; this money isn't being spent on college books or stationary. I work all day, every other Saturday (which isn't a lot; even less on £4 an hour) and still earn in a fortnight less than what a large proportion of EMA receiving students do in a week. I do this so I can pay for my driving lessons and tests etc. I believe it to be, and rightly so, unfair when a student who receives EMA gets a job which I have also applied for. Why? Because they have the best of both worlds. Unless a systematic check of every student who applies for EMA is carried out there is no way that it can be feasibly continued. There are so many students at my college who are able to cheat the system because one of their parents didn't work for a month last year or because they don't live with their fathers etc.

Government sued over EMA cut
Blasphemy! I don't know if I'm committing some form of social heresy here but if students are able to get by without it one week they are able to get by without it the next. Even with, as Simon pointed out, the questionable reasoning's behind the cut they are still in my mind absolutely right. It would be incorrect to state that every student who receives EMA uses it for even remotely the reason for it being in place.

Tuition fees
After taking the full thing into consideration (and trying not to let my own disdain for the Conservative government cloud my judgement) I have decided that it ain't all that bad. We only have to pay back 9% of the excess after we earn £21k per year. The think I am concerned about is the bursaries; regardless of whether I get a bursary for the duration of my original course or not I really need one to cover the post-graduate course I plan on doing. If it doesn't, I shall be forced to take a different career path for the foreseeable future following my university education, it seems.

RabbitFurCoat's Top 60 Albums of 2010
I disagree with your positions of: 50 Janelle Monae 'The ArchAndroid' - I think is wonderful. It's refreshing to see a great pop artist do as well as she has and still produce such great music. I believe the EP which preeceeded this were of greater quality but even still this would be in my top 20 of the year. 48 These New Puritans 'Hidden' - Beautiful album. o: I don't listen to this anywhere near as much as I should but when I do I just think it's so different and special. It would be in my top 10 for sure. 44 Local Natives 'Gorilla Manor' - I'd have this a little higher as well. It is rather pleasant; not especially ground breaking but it certainly achieves what it sets out to do I think.

Tuition fees
He has hardly been vocal throughout his time in office, generally, has he? I get the impression the only reason he's been vocal about this is that he knows his political position would be untenable if he accepted the uncapped fees.

Tuition fees
Nick Clegg has said that today as well. Perhaps his conscience is catching up with him, finally.

Champions League/Europa League 2010/11
Gareth Bale was really excellent last night, best player on the pitch in the second half easy. I think a move to Chelsea / Man City is imminent....

The Inbetweeners - Series 3
Blah, this series has been patchy at best and I think another one would be terrible in all honesty.

Tuition fees
The problem doesn't lie with the Universities, in my opinion, rather it lies with the College's and the service they offer before said university. If you pay to go to college you are more likely to get A*-A grades at A2 level than those who don't pay for an education. Why is that? I fully understand why a parent would pay money for their child to go to a grammar school because they want the best for them and the best for them is paid education. But on the other end of the scale, you need to look at those who would love to go to grammar schools but cannot afford it. Why is it that they shouldn't get the choice of better facilities, teachers and opportunities? My parents would gladly pay for me to have private education if that's what I wanted but they wouldn't have much money for anything else. I would love to leave college with 4 A*'s at A-level but it's highly unlikely in the college environment I am in. What I'm trying to explain is that regardless of if a child get's all A*'s or all E's at A2 they should all be allowed the same level of education once they leave school/college. It shouldn't be a matter of fairness/unfairness; it should be a matter of standardisation of the education system from a grass-roots level up, imo.

In all fairness Dandy your song was by far and away the best, ahead of a pretty poor group in all honesty. Thanks everyone for the votes. (:

Hello! Seems like years since I last commented on your chart Rich. 16. Robyn - Hang With Me (18) (CR-33-17-11-7-9-12-18-16) 17. Hurts - Stay (NEW) (CR-17) 23. Hurts - The Water (NEW) (CR-23) 43. Hurts - Sunday (NEW) (CR-43) 45. Hurts feat Kylie Minogue - Devotion (46) (CR-46-45) 1. Hurts - Happiness (7) (CR-7-1) 7. Robyn - Body Talk Pt. 2 (5) (CR-1-1-3-4-5-7) 11. The xx - xx (12) (CR-7-8-12-11) 15. The Naked & Famous - Passive Me, Aggressive You (NEW) (CR-15) I apologise for my lack of knowledge on the majority of your charts, don't really keep up these days. Nice to see The xx in there, although I get the feeling it isn't going to be in your top ten year end, ha. Hurts' album is good, but not as good as Robyn's and I really cannot wait to hear part three.

My sad personal chart topic.
I've listened to all of it and found some good tunes. The Beautiful South are one of my all time favourite bands though - along with The Housemartins. 'A Little Time' is, like you said, a nice little tune but they had some better stuff as the years went on. '36D' is my all time favourite.

You have persuaded me to (re)download The B-52s Greatest Hits. Haha. I'm liking this so far, gives me a chance to listen to some quality music I wouldn't have heard otherwise perhaps. :D

I like 'Love Shack' ha, it's one of my choices for the karaoke if I ever get on it. I think it's aged quite well as well.

Robyn 'Body Talk, Pt. 1 2 & 3' 2010
Bump for the fact that this (part ii) is really really fantastic. 'Indestructible' is already stunning, really quite something.
