to be honest with you, there aren't many singers like Leona out there at the moment. Mariah Carey..cant sing like she used to and leona's tone is in fact nothing like hers at all..you listen to them both and you'll see the obvious difference in tone..Leona's pure..there is literally no rasp to it where as mariah has that rasp. I think this comparison comes from the fact that they are both mixed race and can sing really well. Whitney is on drugs Chrisitina is a totally different type of singer. her tone and power is different Leona's vocal range and tone is something you dont come across very often..fact and so we have space for Leona, easily enough and her album is getting a hell of a lot of effort put into it by both Simon and Clive Davis(whitney Houstons manager) who have joined up in a first -of-its-kind partnership for it. So, her ballads/up-tempo songs on her new album wont be second rate simple as that. These songs are going to be ones that stand out a MILE and why? because some of Americas best producers are helping with them..which is something that not EVERY artist in the US gets.. ..I ask people to clear there minds of Leona being linked in with the X-factor..it means nothing to her international release. She's not getting that treatment. I can promise you now that leona's success will change the thoughts that come to mind when the X-Factor and its stars are mentioned..just wait and see is what i say..because it will happen... People of this day and age seem to think that the "mood" that is surrounds things NOW..is how it will always be..look outside the box.

Leona appearing on the x-factor is NOTHING..it means nothing to her INTERNATIONAL release..I'm talking about her DEBUT album here..the one that is being launched everywhere. the rest of the world dont have a clue what the X-Factor in the UK is..so how on earth is it important to her worldwide success?? Clive Davis of J-Records would NOT be investing 10 million dollars in her for a worldwide launch if the X-Factor was essential to her worldwide success.

lol..she IS currently being pushed in America..its a worldwide release she is getting. again..you dont understand that the X-Factor audience is not essential for her success..she is talented enough to attract more than that kind of audience if she is launched as a serios solo artist. Leona brought a whole new audience to the X-Factor..that was more than obvious. Since when does a black female EVER win the X-Factor? she was the first female to win it..and most importantly..the first ever black person to win a TV talent show like this in the UK..they dont usually win because the core audience consists of little girls and old women who vote for the cute white one..So I'm afraid to say that there must have been a whole new audience watching this year for her to win that did NOT consist of "the most transient idiots out there...the one's whose record collection contains little other than the debut singles and albums by Ward, Sneddon, McManus, Brookstein, Parks, Quinn x 2, Abrahams, Journey South, G4" me being one of them chump......I think that is why they are changing the format this year. To appease the new audience who now expect greater things to emerge.

the Scissor Sisters are a big fat flop in the US.... AND they are not actually bringing anything NEW to the table..they are basically the modern day blondie...Leona's target is the US ..where (at the moment) they dont like change at all..If she's a success there, she will most certainly be in Asia and other major places including the UK. trust me if the Scissor Sisters were a success in the US..they would be even bigger than they are right now. More exposure and all that. The American Music scene doesnt have a ballad singer like Leona at the MOMENT..so she has a plae to fit quite easily.

again you are talking entirely out of your backside. How many of todays major artists that have come out of the blue have actually brought something new to the table?? hardly any.. People...dont adapt to change too well be it with movies and even music. Making her be something that is risky and new would be a certain failure, People like things they are familar with. How would you like to watch a movie where everything was all out of place and didnt make sense, just because it dared to be totally different??? That movie would be a flop..no doubt. EDIT - when you mess with a familiar, successful formula..the audience dont buy it..

How much you want to bet your words will royally come back and bite you in the ass? 1. being released so late is a good thing because that means the X-Factor stigma will be removed by the time she is released in the UK 2. releasing quickly for the X-Factor audience is NOT essential for success in Leona's case, the X-Factor viewing audience make up only a tiny, miniscule amount of her much larger target fan base set by J Records in the US. 3. England is NOT the goal here. The WORLD is the goal..UK X-Factor is viewed ONLY in the UK. Why the heck do you think they are releasing her worldwide if that’s the case?? Answer: she is NOT being launched as an X-Factor winner... 4. How many major world-class artists in this day and age have been launched totally out of the blue?? I'll give you a little hint MOST OF THEM lmao I'm actually quite surprised at how many of you cant seem to grasp what the situation with Leona is, or maybe you can and you are just hoping she fails so you spew a load of nonsense. I think that many of you "nay sayers" actually don’t realize that she is not being treated as a typical X-factor winner. I'm not sure why you can’t seem to see the big picture here. Leona is a million and one leagues above anything the X-Factor has ever produced and so she is being launched in an entirely different way to the typical X-Factor winner. She is being launched as a serious world-class solo artist and so this requires. A decent non rushed debut album and LOTS of preparation..the X-factor audience is in the past..the WORLD is the next target..
