Sky magazine has an article about the new X factor series starting next month. It says Leonas album is due out next month (Aug edition so sept).

Private Party was a big hit on the American underground charts, thats what they were all dancing too in the US clubs a few years back. Guess you need to question your own taste :rolleyes::lol:

Someone on the fansite emailed one of her producers to see if he new anything, this was the reply

She won't fail. We can't get any info about her from official channels but we have been in contact with several producers in the states including the one who's blog was posted further up the thread. They are all adamant that no ones seen anything like her for years and they are all completely blown away by her, they are saying her album contains some tracks we would not expect from Leona and they are convinced it is going to be a worldwide hit. Clive Davis is so convinced, they are spending $1million just on the launch campaign, she is also going to be on all the magazines covers in the states as well as here.

Whoa... Don't know where that argument sprung up from :cry: no one is suggesting Leona is going to invent a new genre. Her forte is that she has a breathtakingly beautiful voice and the point of the above report, like the others we have seen from big producers like Dallas Austin, is that whoever works with her are completely astonished by her, even though they are accustomed to working with the biggest named singers.

Hmmm, Ray Quinn got to number 1. Getting to #2 is no big deal, you gotta stay there for 40 weeks. This was released midweek so she should be #1 next week. If she drops on a full weeks sales then its a flop.

Don't know where you got that logic from. So using your theory a new artist should not bother at all? What about Take That, Shirley Bassey has a new album which charted today at #6. All artists take 12-18 months between albums, they will have one or two singles off the album then a long period until the next album.

Loads of femail artists just "sing the bloody song", you just don't hear those songs because nobodies interested in a song just being bloody sung.

Rihanna is probably the worse singer in the charts at the moment. They have to use a autotune machine in the studio on her and when she sings live she is dreadful.

Mariah killed her voice by over using her whistle register. Thats why she has to whisper now.

Xtina, Britney, Timberfake all on MM club. Same exposure as being on AI/X factor.

This sales record was achiieved in a different era and when she was a good singer. Nobody can sell records in that quantity anymore. Just ain't gonna happen. You know I'm right on that posing ;)

Maria showing emotion :lol: Your having a laugh, go on youtube and watch, all she does is pout and pose. Leonas single will be released to radio in the next three weeks and you can be sure that every other label will clear the decks to give her a cleear run. Nobody would be stupid to release a big single with her around because she is a lock on for #1. She has already previewed it in Las Vegas and got a standing ovation from an audience including Celine Dionne and JLo. Clive is going to put Leona with Whitney on Whitneys comeback album to give it some more bite and she is going to be plastered on every glamour magazine in the states when she launches. This is crazy talk to say she is not going to hit it big, her not succeeding is unthinkable.
