I'm afraid it probably will be! Cos Leona isn't slated to perform yet on American Idol...and if does happen it will have to be right after Mariah's album comes out(which will again boost her download sales) and so any gap between the two will be small and Mariah's airplay advantage will see her win that race. At the End of April Leona is off to Oz and the American promotional trip ends, for a short time, so her downloads rally wont increase....more stabilize then fall.

It's so close! Come on Leona...she will never have a lead like this again against the opposition. Mariah's now surging into the lead and is guaranteed at no.1 now for a good few weeks!

Personally, I believe that when the physical comes out it won't in Top 5 on iTunes! It will run out of steam FAST!

It's a given Big Mistake Mariah will easily do 200k in downloads, sending her straight to the top! Even if Leona did 250K that week it wouldn't be enough, cos her airplay currently isnt anywhere close to Mariah's!

I think it will be next week and possibly the week in which the album comes out. Mariah will be no.1 for the 2 weeks up to the album is released and then the week after cos Mariah's album comes out, depends how good her downloads are in the weeks after this because Leona's single has more longevity but the airplay is a lot to be desired. If she was at 80-90million in airplay, she would probably have been no.1 for like 7-8 weeks cos her downloads will remain high, but oh well.

You are certainly right Mikal....she's on 25mil and Usher's at 100mil, so all she needs currently is more than 75k than him and no.1 is her. It's almost a given seeing how both songs are doing this week.

The above is the 1st true reflection of how Madonna and Estelle, are selling against each other.....as Madonna's popularity bar buzz was gonna keep growing til it got up to the correct level. 2:3= 66.6667% to 100% yesterday Madonna sold 5.7k and Estelle 8K which is like 71.25% to 100% Therefore, this is a more accurate reflection!

It means that's how much it is likely to gain if it stays at it's current rate! But, it probably will reduce it's bullet and then start to increase a lil. It will be slightly above 40 million by the time the album comes out....and with the increase again in downloads could push her to no.1 But Mariah and Usher are the dangers, as Usher has even passed Mariah now with 104 million, and there both growing by like 10mil a week (Usher 14million this week). They need to get on Mainstream more, the areas where that Sara Bareillies is doing well, that would help a hell of alot...cos if she could get to 70/80mil she would easily have a few weeks at the top...cos of the three i bet she will be the most consistent seller!

It's cool Mikal...hope we didn't get off on the wrong foot earlier in the thread. It was just that I wanted to make sure everyone was aware of the whole picture. But, if we are being honest airplay shouldnt really come into it (but it does unfortunately) cos Leona would definitely get to no.1!
