Not always true. I buy a single for the main track if I have no intention of buying the album. I will buy singles from favourites artists specifically for b-sides (As I already have the single track on the album). The situation with dowbloading whre each remix can count as a separate sale can be distorting - but then so can physical releases with different b-sides on each version.

Estimated UK sales for IC so far are ~ 1.53m. For the last few weeks I reckon it has been selling ~1500 copies per week. SinSinSin did at least bring it back into view in the top 200 (#113 last week). It will be interesting to see if the tour has any effect this week . In guess most people who will have travelled for a recent gig will already own it. UK dates are not till September, which is when I would expect a sales boost. The televising of Leeds on September 9th should help too - except for it being on Sky which limits the audience. I wonder when promotion for the dance album will start - maybe that is where the effort will be put to coincide with the end of the European leg of the tour, before he heads off to Asia/Australia.

I like the way it builds suspense - love the smileys en route to the results :) oh and OMG etc etc...
