  1. I'm glad he's thinking of making 'mad plates'. when do we get to see them :D
  2. make sense of this if you can :P RSR, rarely, Robbie. Whole three discussions in private are it at the end, in which at present probably the largest European Popstar wants to speak with German journalists about its new album: "Rudebox". In navalblue Retrotrainingsanzug, in addition suitable Sneakern and a poison-green apple in the hand Williams already enters at the beginning of of August a roomy Suite in a Frankfurt Nobelhotel, in order to grant unity Live 20 minutes of its precious time. Is amazing: Also from a meter distance looks Williams exactly the same, as on the numerous advertisement posters, with which the Englishman earns itself annually some millions in addition. Robbie Williams is attentively, eloquent, works with some personal questions however remarkably emotionless. Of the fact that he will already step few weeks later his complete Asia route into the ton, is to be suspected on this day however still nothing. One Live: Robbie, in the apron of this interview one had to sign a contract, in which explicitly it is located that you would like to speak exclusively about your new album and not about personal. Robbie Williams: The reason is that for the moment simply much too much is spoken in the press about my private life. And therefore it makes for me simply more sense to say that I would like to speak more about my music than about personal. But times sees, where our discussion still goes! (grinst) One Live: Many people were quite surprised, when it meant that you would have already again a new album finished. "intensive Care", your last plate, is finally straight times one year old. Robbie Williams: The best at my job, which makes which at most fun, is plates to make. Everything which to it comes, is me quite schnurz. The album is a hobby, the Promoten against it a job. In, the 50's, 60's and 70's 40's the people two, three albums rausgebracht in one year. Why should that not also be able be done nowadays? One Live: Whereby one should naturally also mention that you worked at this album completely differently than before. Robbie Williams: I wrote and also took up all plates, which I made so far, with only one person. And lasts simply to for a long time. Three months go fuer`s to producing drauf, three months fuer's letters. If I work against it with many different people, that can be done many faster. Because everyone works for itself in its studio. One Live: Was your disk company not nevertheless somewhat shocked, when you told them of "Rudebox"? Robbie Williams: I believe, which were rather pleased as surprised. It haetten's probably only amusingly found, if the plate were bad. But I think that this is my so far best plate. I white that, my disk company know - that is rather exciting everything for me as an artist. And quite profitabel for it as enterprises. One Live: As your relationship to your past plates is general. Do you today still sound yourself "intensive Care" for example? Robbie Williams: There simply still too little time is between them, than that I could find the plate good. When I the album took up, ich's loved, clearly. But it needs now simply a few years, until I can listen to and say it me again: "Robbie, you made humans, good!" It is simply still too early to also set itself in order critically thereby apart. One Live: Think do you, it come the day, on which you will be by hundred percent content with one of your plates? Would that be a goal? Robbie Williams: Thus I would probably not come clearly, if I would think: "Okay, war's! That was my masterpiece!" I would probably only sit thereafter on my ass and become still fatter than I eh already am! (laughs tormented) One Live: Your new album will surprise many people. Style-mix more so was so far still on none of your albums to be heard. Robbie Williams: I am rather surprised that the people are surprised. On the other side they do not live it also in my head, my computer, know thus not, what in such a way I hear for music. I am only surprised that I made a TRACK like "Rudebox" not already in former times. With "skirt DJ" ich's tried, but instead of "Rudebox skirt" is "DJ" thereby rausgekommen. I wanted to thus make this plate already rather for a long time. One Live: How as did a Song develop as "Rudebox"? Robbie Williams: At the beginning was only the Beat there. My buddy Soul Mekanik, Danny and Kelvin, which were also with "skirt DJ" thereby, gemailt me simply a Beat after L.A., and the Beat was called simply "Rudebox". From this the Song developed. We worked then together on the texts, the melody, on everything. And in such a way the Song developed then gradually. One Live: With the two Cologne concerts at the beginning of of August you presented to "already live Rudebox", and those reactions on the part of the public were rather modest. What do you think, how your other new Songs live will function? Robbie Williams: I do not have to play it at all on the stage. I at least never about thought how it would probably sound on the stage. Simply, because I do not become with this album eh routes. It is at least nothing planned. One Live: And if the people hear the Songs at home, in the car, on the way? A simple plate is "Rudebox" definitely not. Robbie Williams: I hope that the strength of this plate makes up for the different reactions of the people. And I hope that they appreciate the quality of this album. Me it is really serious thereby, and I wish myself that my fans love the plate exactly the same like I. One Live: As it stands with the reactions on the part of the press. Straight "intensive Care" got away not straight good in most editorships. Robbie Williams: Critics are rather verbitterte humans. Most do not wish themselves to be musicians are it however. And so which bores the people sometime. From the first day on I became also never for my music, but when humans criticizes, is still added. They do not remove the "artist" from me, which okay is - I do not believe myself (no expression twists) One Live: On "Rudebox" is numerous Coverversionen. A Song, which stands out, is a TRACK named "incoming goods of acres The Pet Shop Boys", which in addition also still sounds like the Pet Shop Boys. Robbie Williams: "incoming goods of acres The Pet Shop Boys" are a Coverversion of types named My a Robot Friend from New York. That wrote this TRACKS, to "incoming goods of acres The Pet Shop Boys". The Pet Shop Boys gecovert sometime this piece, and now covere I the Cover of the Pet Shop Boys. (laughs) I is a rather nostalgic type, and this Song is like an easily melancholische memory of good, old times. One Live: Exactly the same as the two Songs "The 80s" and "The 90s", or? There you describe situations from your basic school time, your first drug experiences, up to your first time Sex and first meeting with Take That. Robbie Williams: That is like therapy for me, if one wants so. Thus knows I mean past behind me to leave. And really functions! In former times I wanted always into my school time back and was then sad, because that cannot be done. Now is it like that that I think: "Okay, that was once. Now am I here " One Live: Another Coverversion is "King OF The Bongo" from Manu Chao. In Germany the Song is rather well-known, in Great Britain also? Robbie Williams: In England that was no hit, but only a small, obskurer TRACK. Before seven years I the piece for the first time heard and fand's immediately super. And it is somehow rather impudently, like that as I sometimes. And Manu Chao is eh super. It fits simply! One Live: And who is this "Good Doctor"? In the Song you enumerate all possible medicines and anaesthetics. Robbie Williams: I have many different sides. But the two most important are probably the Robbie Williams, the sport fan are, that lives healthy and blows air breathes. And evenly the other Robbie Williams, which clean-pulls itself drugs and all day long in bed remains. Between these two it goes constantly back and forth. And always there the "Good Doctor" is, if the better half wins. One Live: You brought up for discussion this contradiction in you already frequently. What without reservation however would you say, do love you at you? What mad to be is Robbie Williams? Robbie Williams: That is my ninth album and so slowly becomes good I. And I know, who I am. I am now 32, make since 16 music. And I have still the possibility of making mad plates which want to also buy the people. And that is simply condemned exciting.
  3. Interesting interview -thanks :) (my German is just about good enough to make out the gist of it - especially having read sim ilar interviews in english - but not good enough to offer a full translation) We should try the internet translation sites - they are always good for a laugh.
  4. Burslem Normals is one of my favourites. Should have been much higher :( Interesting to see how it all pans out though - thanks Scotty.
  5. :puke2: I really don't think I want to hear this
  6. Over at TRWS a poster ssays that tripper got right to the front at Sydney. presumably Ossy is with her ? They must have had a blast :D Sounds like a great show.
  7. I juts made this post on TRWS - this thread seems perfect for it -_- Popjustice books to be on TV. I have the Robbie one - it is funny (though bits of it are irritating :-/ ) http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/6217094.stm Doherty cartoon gets TV makeover A Boy Called Pete The book came out on 3 November A cartoon biography of troubled pop star Pete Doherty is to be made into an animated TV series. A Boy Called Pete, by Peter Robinson, charts the rise to fame of the lead singer of Babyshambles and his struggle with drug addiction. "I don't think anyone could read about the life of Pete Doherty and think doing drugs is a good thing," Robinson told the BBC. He would not reveal who the TV deal was with or when it would be aired. A Boy Called Pete tells the story of a young man who "sings songs and wears hats" and whose love of "mind-bending drugs" means he and pal Kate are "always in trouble". A Boy Called Pete Doherty has not commented on the book The singer's real-life girlfriend is model Kate Moss. The TV deal also includes Robinson's other pop biographies on Britney Spears, Madonna, Robbie Williams, Eminem, Michael Jackson, Sir Elton John and Take That. "Robbie was given a copy of his book, he thinks it's funny... but there's been no comment from Pete yet," Robinson said. The author, who is also the founder of the music gossip website Popjustice, said three new titles will be released in spring including one about Kylie Minogue and one on John Lennon. The Minogue biography was due to be published earlier but was put back after she announced she had cancer last year. A Boy Called Pete, which was published at the beginning of November, is selling steadily in the run-up to Christmas. About 1000 copies have been sold so far. Robinson said he wanted to write the books as they "work like a fairytale". He said adults could read them but most of them were also suitable for children.
  8. Its by All Angels . I love choral music, but hate these crossover acts. Four girls all aged 16 and 17, All Angels bring a fresh new sound - and a bright new look - to classical crossover music, with a repertoire spanning classical, choral, opera and pop. http://www.myspace.com/allangelsofficial They obvioulsy don't want anyone to hear Angels yet, even though it is only a couple of weeks away from release. I think it will be a double A , with Silent Night. Even the clip of their last single on myspace is very short. Hardly a good way to gain exposure for your music?
  9. There is an ad for Rudebox on Channel4 right now :D I think I need to recover from the shock when I heard Lovelight starting to play on the TV
  10. Isn't your logic the wrong way round <_< If sales were much better, it would stay top20 :)
  11. Ooh - I may have to venture into the Inner Sanctum then :) - and risk the flash script crashing my com puter again though :(
  12. Haven't they see Little Britain  he made a lovely Laydee -_- Not so sure about teh video thing though.
  13. I've given up trying to keep track of all these sites. But maybe I'll dig out one of my videos from Milton Keynes to upload ^_^
  14. Thanks for these. I did my bit for Angels - bought the DVD just a few weeks ago :)
