  1. I know the book is coming as I have offered thoughts on a draft a few weeks ago. I don’t have a release date but hopefully soon.
  2. Any streaming must be done on the Wednesday - streaming on a Thursday can get lost at times due to delays in reporting. Different services have different delays and not all do delay.

I’ll have a look tonight and see. But it would have to be a physical to have charted on the Welsh chart at that point.

It has happened before - back in 2007 the chart for Wales started to show less than 75 records per week, with a low point of just 10 on 18 April 2009. The chart size average was 23 records a week between 1 Jan and 10 Oct 2009, before Download data was added and the chart began to appear much as the main top 200 singles chart did. 5 times since July the chart has been less than a Top 100, with the lowest being 90 - 27 August 2022 chart if your interested in buying that specific issue to see. (If you do, let Chris know why you are buying it!)

Sadly no, as we are not provided with any.

We still have them as they are part of the subscription package. They are very heavily influenced by physical only sales, with no streaming as far as I can tell. Last week, for example, we only had a Top 97 for the Welsh Singles as only 97 different titles sold during the week. I do not believe there is a Northern Ireland only chart, although they could probably create one.

As pointed out, you have to buy the full magazine for the 200 albums. We do have some exclusive charts as well - such as Year To Date and Top 200 Airplay which is not available elsewhere.

I have emailed Chris and have asked him to look into this. I assume that your subscription can be amended to start from that issue and so Chris can complete that.

Thanks for the message. UKChartsPlus is run by volunteers and so we all have day jobs. It can take a few days for subscription information to be updated. Rest assured that Chris, who deals with subscriptions, will see it and will ensure you do not miss an issue.
  12. The above listing is actually last weeks Top 40 Year To Date - so if you want to see the full Top 100 it's in last weeks ChartsPlus Issue 1089.

The last one I have - they almost certainly make them each year. I know that Chris had to purchase them and did so for 2015 but it arrived so late (April I think) her felt the momentum had gone in terms of printing it.

It is indeed Taylor Swift and Shake It off at 101 in the YEar End chart for 2015 - ChartsPlus received it at the time and did not print it as we ran out of time. Don’t think we got it until March 2016 and it was too difficult to print at that time.
  17. The OCC can't loose the rights as they own them. They are a creation of the British Record Industry, so, essentially, the British Record Industry own the charts. The waters are muddied as the OCC compile the Irish and French charts - those they could loose the licence to create.
  18. kingofskiffle posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
The full chart is a Top 100, in terms of this one with the ACR and SCR rules. Why not change R1 show to be the Top 100, and you play the NEW and RE, biggest climber, one of the top 3 longest runners (rotates each week for variety), the climbers of more than 5 places and the Top 10 full. That's about 30-40 songs per week and so you can do a full 3 hours show. Moving to the Top 100 gives a larger base to draw from to reduce repetition (whether you agree with Top 10 in full or other elements of the above at all).
  19. Hummmm... Each week the OCC don't get streaming data on time for the Thursday, so that is 'calculated', so this could use accurate data so that could explain the difference. Equally, they could be using a different ratio (I can't remember if Billboard and the OCC use different streaming ratio) so that could also be a reason. Equally, some tracks do have small amounts of physical releases which are ignored form this, again, if the gaps are small between sales could account for the moves. We'll need to see more examples as time passes.
  20. Yes, so sorry about the typos…. Do please flag any and I will absolutely fix. I keep reading it loads of times, but my eye reads what I WANT to see not what IS there….

Nope. I did show the valentines mug to my wife who suggested she knew where she would put it if I where to buy it for her…. I like the idea of them having a shop but I’d rather they did data requests… i.e. put something together where you could by a size of chart (up to a length they specific) and a time period and get the CSV files or the data that way. It could be relatively automated as well so they wouldn’t need to monitor it.
