I have created a website - http://thechartbook.co.uk - which is how I will sell these, with transactions handled by PayPal. I hope that you will almost automatically receive a copy of the book you order when my email opens and the transactions are processed. It's still a work in progress and I need to try and automate it better. But for now have a look and tell me what you think.

Thanks for the suggestion. That is difficult and I'd need to consider how best to set that up in the database. I shall consider.

  6. Good April Fools jokes do have an element of truth. It could be true. And I hope it is. But they won't react this quickly. Would they?

Some have asked for a printed copy of the book. I have found a way to produce limited quantities of the book, which will cost £30 plus postage and packaging to wherever you are. The printed copies are in the following style (see below) and to order these I will need approximately two weeks from recipe of your order. To order, I need your full postal address, including country. I will then calculate the postage costs and dispatch. I understand that some require a printed version and so that is why this has been produced. I do however understand that some may find the costs here prohibitive, but the additional costs are what it will cost me to produce. A4 sized coil (spiral) bound documents. Bound on the short edge Clear coloured coils (spirals). Clear PVC cover (front). Front cover printed colour outside, blank inside on 300gsm smooth matt (uncoated) card. Back cover printed no printing (blank) on 300gsm smooth matt (uncoated) card. Inner pages printed double sided on 80gsm smooth matt (uncoated) paper. 89 colour pages. Despatched 7 working days from approval of artwork. Normally delivered within 1 working day from despatch. This item has been zero rated for VAT as it is a bound document.

The plan is to continue as far as I can. Next decade is the 1960's, then I intend to do one for Albums for 1956-1969. Always assuming sales go well and people want it. PM me your PayPal email address if you do want a copy.

I've decided to put together my own chart book. An advertisement - a couple of pages - is shown below. If you wish to buy the full book - for the 1950's only so far, with later volumes to follow should anybody actually want this stuff! - then please send me an email and I'll send details of payment. Cost - £10. Delivery, by PDF. https://www.dropbox.com/s/tblnwnlmmrd8jtl/1...Advert.pdf?dl=0 The 1950's is a wonderful decade, with some amazing songs. Check out the book, and the material that isn't anywhere else in book form including length of record and composer credits.
  10. I read this with interest, and the first is very easy to replicate with the current Top 200 singles chart. of that full Top 200, 103 have spent 21 or more weeks in the chart. The new Top 50 would be (removing all records after 20 weeks had elapsed no matter where they where in the chart). That's my view :)

Is their an artist you'd like to see have one? Because we are always open to considering new things.

We understand that they are not for everybody - but at least one subscriber only subscribes because we have them... so we have to try and cater to everybody.

The cost is not actually similar - it's £145 for the full edition for 12 months (our most expensive option) while music week is £179. We carry a vast array of charts down to a Top 200 for Singles and are as accurate as possible. We also include many very good features (I would say this as I write them!)but definitely look at the sample issue. Disclaimer - I work for ChartsPlus
  14. I lurk.... :)
  15. We have indeed, since June 2010 in fact. The up side is the printed issue includes the vinyl catalogue numbers which are not on the OCC website.
  16. Could I as well please :) Thank you.
  17. Also Album charts started in 1956.... Not 1958. Just a few more errors :)

It was about September last year that the Audience for TV appeared on the Neilsen files we got sent. Around the same time, Music Week started re-ranking their chart so the published one was sorted differently to what we got. The YE data is exactly what we where supplied - Neilsen get upset if it's changed in any way, which is, of course, only right.
  19. You never know what the future holds. I wonder why they are closing it, to be honest. Is Airplay from the UK and Europe not profitable for them? I know Radio Monitor say they cover more, but it can't be much more.
  20. CHartsPlus - http://www.ukchartsplus.co.uk/index.htm The full Top 50.
  21. I would like us to carry this. However, like all things, it's down to cost. As with any other queries relating to ChartsPlus, I suggest an email to Chris.
  22. Do please remember that these cost money. So, although we give them away for free, give a little back by buying a weekly issue :) Or taking out a subscription :) As they say, every little helps and when stuff's gone, it's always missed. :)
  23. But if you don't renew, and use the free stuff, then everybody looses out in the end because if everybody does that, then nobody will subscribe and it will have to end. ChartsPlus relies on its subscribers to continue. We are also the only source of the Top 100 for the Airplay. Radio Monitor do compile a chart but, as we looked into carrying it, the data is sometimes inaccurate and frequently lists multiple versions in the same chart.
  24. ChartsPlus comes out on Wednesday nights. :) (Come on, you where expecting a plug!)
  25. I have a large number of Music Week magazines from Jan 2008 to July 2010 which I want to get rid off. I don't want to simply throw them away, as that's not something I ever like to do. So, if anybody wants them then they should ask, and I'll let them have them. I'd like postage costs refunded, but as some where given to me, I don't want/need payment for them. If you want individual issues then let me know and I'll look for that date. I don't have the Michael Jackson tribute issue, before anybody asks for it. If you want the lot, then postage will be quite expensive as they are ****** heavy :) but I'll need to weigh them before I ask for a price. I'll send anywhere.... But at cost.
