A waste so far, but, not for long! It is coming back, we just need the go ahead from one party.
  2. Currently, Mariah Carey is the only Christmas song in the singles 200 at number 104. (WE 15 Nov 2008)

A new company is in discussions with Herman to take things forward. That's about all we can say at present. Other than watch this space!

Well, see what response I get. I do suspect a hike in subs is on the cards though....

You might, but it might come out a little earlier. It does depend on schedules though because Herman has not finished some of the issue, or that was what my latest message was on Thursday.
  7. Ah, so the list is really 'MJ's Top 40 Best Selling Songs Of All Time We Could Get The License To Show The Videos For'. Not quite as snappy a title :D
  8. The sample there looks to be the same format as the sample pages I was privileged to glimpse. I suggest that we all wait and see. I don't think I will be getting it, but then, that's because I have the data in it anyway, as most of you know. I agree with Zeus555 as well, because if this isn't a success then that will be that. The thing is, the OCC need to work out a) who the people buying the book are going to be (chart fans and the causal) and do a book for them (a sort of 'by the fans for the fans' with what we want that's saleable and B ) what would be actually be a good book to read. I suggest they look at the Joel Whitburn books for some ideas. Their is just something about Hardback Books which get me all tingly :D Plus, certainly as far as his Albums and Pop Singles 1940-55 book is concerned the pages are very good quality (compared to recent Hit Singles types books). The other thing is that a web-type version of the book would be a lot better. I know a lot of people like books (as do I) but the thing is, the internet is here to stay and why not do a book like that? And yes, before anybody says, the OCC don;t have the resources personally to do it - but still! And I'm sure I know a few hundred chart fans (here as well as on other boards) who would happily correct the OCC's database given half a chance. I'd even do it for a small fee. B)

Yes, I'm annoyed MW has not updated the Compilation YTD Albums and the Combined Albums Top 75. As that's my only source for the Combined Albums, I hate it when anything goes wrong :( Thanks for the Top 10 above Trevs!

The mid week data usually gets posted around the internet soon after appearing on the Music Week website anyway, so a subscription is not that vital if it's only mids your friend wants. Haven, for example post mids data, as do chc and, I think, here. Should really read more posts here! I believe that their are over 100 total subscribers, though I don;t know for certain. It is a figure that keeps rising each week and, as I'm sure you have realized, it is well worth the money - Music week don't always update on time and frequently miss things out.... BTW - thanks for the nice comments about me (above).

I think that Radio 1 need to copy the Hit 40 format because clearly that works. They should ask themselves why it works as well. Might influence some of their other programs!
  12. Most of them for the Top 75 should be in my analysis posts on <small voice> UKmix PM me there for what your missing and I'll send through a list of what your missing when you've done that. (Or buy Charts Plus :-)) Okay - advert over :D
  13. A section of it was. Trying to see who copies and doesn't credit :D

Interesting..... What are the dates for the 95-99 issues? Are you willing to split up the collection, or is divorce not an option :D
