  1. and the way the tabloids have written it, you would think Robbie was back on the 'heavy' drugs and bottle  so it has given the wrong information to many readers, it would be only Robbie fans, that have followed his career that would know the first paragraph in the paper was from the early days. Robbie today is in a clinic battling the addiction of prescription pills, not flipping booze.
  2. congrats Ossy and thanks for the lovely message Nicky. I am glad you are still with us on this forum.
  3. I just hope I was not the only one from the UK lol.
  4. of course he will  I just hope he decides to be less high profile to be honest. I want him to be happy more than anything else, perhaps less of the professional side we know about him and more of the private side for him!
  5. they will one day Susie. It is sad that the CD buying public listen to what the tabloids do say, I thought everyone from, North, South, East and West, knew that the newspapers don't always print the truth.
  6. I don't think either of the Gallaghers are credible after their very sullen display or was it performance, or lack there of, at the Brits. :puke2:
  7. thanks Scotty, you know there was alot of fans saying they will not send in a card or email as they think the tabloids or Victoria Newton don't deserve us responding to her request. You know what? I am glad I did, it put a bounce in my step this morning. I got my thoughts of what I think of Robbie in the best selling newspaper in the UK. I could not ask for more than that and for me this was so worthwhile to see that picture of Robbie with the heading 'You've made Robbie smile' that for me was everything, I know he won't see it, but boy did I feel good to see a nice article for a change. It was well worth it  It was edited though, but who cares! :yahoo:
  8. it is two different things though, the NME music critics gave a great review, the readers of the mag had a public vote and really Robbie has never fitted in with NME readers. He is or was too mainstream for them. It is very much an indie, rock, heavy metal rag. Robbie gets nominated nearly everytime for a negative award with NME, nothing new, but it is the wrong time now to have it happen and he has not really had an unsuccessful album before like he has with Rudebox, so this time it will hurt him very much. He has got proof now, it was different when he won 'Worst Album' for Escapology it was successful, so he felt he could stick to fingers up at them. I am dreading the press tomorrow and I am dreading the press next week, never mind about Robbie, it is enough to send me into rehab  I will be glad when the 'Rudebox' fiasco is over to be honest. I'd rather him not be high profile in anything than suffer what they are writing about him, as the Sentinel says he is anxious about what is happening in the press in the UK I hope he does not get to hear well into the summer about all of this.
  9. I'd rather read the Sun c**p about the card, than what I have read in the Daily Mirror today. I would also think that Robbie's family would too No contest.

  11. I voted for positive. By doing that I am not saying you cannot post a slightly negative one, lets just say 'lets be selective' about an article. Posting up the negative or the nasty, vindictive articles is exactly what the gutter press want you to do and by doing that we are advertising the paper and we are ourselves circulating, in a lot of cases untrue articles. By posting these articles we are also helping compound what the tabloids are trying to do to Robbie, which is trying to destroy him, whether that is professionally or personally. Robbie' sister Sally has already said that Robbie is where he is because of all the negative press and I really don't think fan sites should be party to that. The red top tabloids are read by millions in the UK, what we are doing by posting them on here or any of his forums is spreading their muck all around the world, which is read by millions of fans from Europe, South America and Australia. Do we want to help the tabloids do that? There have been two articles this week that have been disputed and were found to be "unfounded and untrue" and the agents of the said 'victims' have had to make statements. Those stories in the Mirror went to a circulation of millions in the UK, lets not join them in spreading those lies around. and lets just say, if anyone is undecided, that Robbie reads fans sites.
  12. but what does Pete Tong mean when he said that Rob is out of favour this week. That is what is worrying me.
  13. he looks it up Scotty. He knows everything that is said here and besides he lives in LA and yet we still had a kiss and tell in the Sunday paper last week with a girl he dated there. He would be better off home now. LA is a place for fast and easy pills on a prescription.
  14. yeah, I am very annoyed with Oasis, oh, I know they have always mouthed off about Robbie but I could live with it because Robbie could give them a mouthful back. Unfortunately, he cannot respond. But today was the low of the low and I really feel like punching their lights out. They are to**sers themselves, and I have not thrown any of my CD's and DVD in the bin yet, but I will, I think I will do it now. ahh, now I feel better :D but to be honest I am pig sick of the British press too and I could punch their lights out too.
  15. Thinking about you everyday Robbie, take care of yourself and believe in yourself too. We will be here waiting for you on your return, and Robbie LA is not the place for you, come home please. Much love and sending you positive vibes every minute of the day.
  16. it is a shame that only Robbie fans and those people who did attend a Robbie gig in 2006 will know that Robbie dedicated 'Back for Good' to Take That and spoke well of them to 3 million people. I don't know why he bothered, Take That could not be bothered to even give a "Thinking of you Rob and as they walked off the stage, it would have only taken a second, it needn't have been a speech, the mike stand was there for Mark to say quickly those 4 words, but no they looked like they were under strict orders not to say anything, and Mark especially looked uncomfortable and unhappy, but he could have had the guts to say it, what would they have done to him if had. Sack him! I still see it like it has always been. No change whatsoever. A very telling thing to happen.
  17. I am pleased I managed to get my post up on the Sun comment page. Named and shamed the bast*rd press. Typical of Kinsella to crawl out of the woodwork. I bet he was on the phone to them pretty quick. I won't be watching the Brits, I just could not bring myself to watch it incase any jerk slags, or makes a inane remark about Robbie and even worse Robbie not winning. I can see this being in our press all week. The only positive from it is that he is doing something positive and lets hope he can kick the habit or tone down the medication. It must be terribly hard to live under the constant pressure he lives in and also, the pressure he puts on himself. Robbie walk away, find personal happiness, we will be waiting for your return.
  18. it did go to No.1 in fourteen countries locott. Unfortunately we never read stuff like that in the lousy UK press. Rudebox has also picked up 3 plantinum awards in Germany and 2 in Australia and I am sure it has picked up awards in other countries too. Not Robbie's biggest seller, and approx 3 million is still quite low for Robbie. I hope it will be one of those albums that sells slowly through time and then suddenly takes off again for whatever reason.
  19. The press article does say 'End of Summer' so as it came from the Star then maybe their end of summer is November. lol I think that EMI have to take particular notice of what new album releases are about when Robbie releases anything, whether it be 'Swing' or original material, the way the UK are about Robbie they cannot release another album on his name like they did with Rudebox and live in hope. I honestly cannot understand this 'downer' on Rudebox with the fans, the Tesco or Sainsbury shoppers lol or with the press and thank you Victoria Newton for putting Robbie in the mire, Rudebox is a good album, perhaps it is just down to being ten years in the spotlight. It would be great to have another concert though. How about Wembley?
  20. I am a very loyal fan of Robbie's, but I won't be buying the video. Love the song though and I really hope it does well.
  21. why has he recorded Bongo Bong for nothing? It has been released in Turkey and entered the charts. I love the continental sound of it. I rather think he recorded it because he wanted too anyway, regardless of any big ideas of making a major hit with it.
  22. I love the song, it comes off a very, very good album. He looks great in the 'on stage' scenes. I am hoping for a top ten position, but I have my doubts. It deserves to be in the top 5 or higher. It is a well crafted song. It is Robbie Williams with the Pet Shop Boys and I would love to see both of those names back in the No.1 spot.
  23. I also believe that we have The Sun and The Mirror to thank for dismissing Rudebox (album) and causing the lower sales, which is a shame, why can't the public, or even his fans, trust Robbie, they are really missing out listening to this rather good album. Robbie's only mistake is to release Rudebox as the first single and really after listening to it a few times, no way is that the worst single of all time. Actually it is rather cleverly crafted. Thanks goodness for Moyles on Radio 1 who is praising the album and the single, about time too.
  24. you know now that you come to mention it I have had no text back saying 'thank you for your vote' either. although the money has gone out, which I suppose is a good sign.
  25. sorry to interupt the flow. How do you post a picture, now this is coming from someone who posts pictures all the time. it keeps telling me to post an URL Huh! It used to have a little window displayed for me to do that.
