  2. #12 Last thing on my mind (7.40) • Director: Phil Griffin • Location: Cuba • Released: April 1998 • YouTube views: 9.075.000 Moving on to #12 we find the video for Last thing on my mind. It was filmed in Cuba and it features Lee picking up all the band members in his convertible at the start of the video. When they sing the chorus, each member is singing a scene is similar to ABBA's Mamma Mia. The final scenes are set around a pool where the band perform the full dance routine. The song became a nice (global) hit and the band were no longer one hit wonders. This is one of my favorite Steps videos! Shame it missed the top 10 but #12 ain’t too shabby. The reason I enjoy this video? Just check my avatar ;) Besides that I love the summery and carefree vibe. Last thing received votes between a five and a ten making it’s average score a respectable 7.4.
  3. I agree. The song in the other hand ..
  4. Deeper shade of blue (Flashmob remix)
  5. I ordered the picture disc for a decent price  Hopefully it’ll arrive soon! Any sales update btw?
  6. #13 Scared of the dark (7.29) • Director: Howard Greenhalgh • Location: London • Released: April 2017 • YouTube views: 9.500.000 At #13 we find the video for their glorious comeback single, Scared of the dark. Recorded in a studio with rear projection images, Steps perform the song in front of them. The concept of Scared was mainly inspired by Sin City. Other then that there isn’t much information to be found. Fun fact..It’s one their most watched videos on YouTube and it gave them another top 40 hit/silver certification in the UK. Oh..do you remember hearing this one for the first time? And seeing the video a few days later? Such a moment! At least for me. Nowadays I still adore the song though the video seems a little less impressive. Don’t get me wrong..it’s not bad at all. At moments it just looks like ‘Steps dancing in front of a green screen’. Also, I think we got even better videos after this one.. Scared votes were between a six and a nine, so it ends up with a more then decent 7.29.
  7. Oh! I never noticed that tbh

  10. #14 Summer of love (7.11) • Directors: Terence O'Connor and Marek Losey • Location: London • Released: July 2000 • YouTube views: 3.158.000 At #14 we have the video for Summer of love. It ends 4 places higher (and 0.67 points higher) in this countdown then it’s double A partner When I said goodbye. In contrast the Summer of love video features brightly coloured clothes and energetic dancing. It portrays the band and their dancers as ‘good’ colorful Steps and ‘bad’ dark Steps. At the the end, ‘good’ Steps chase their bad version away with their dancing. This concept was inspired by a hit advertising campaign called Mambo by fashion retailer Gap. I think it’s is one of their best songs combined with a lovely video. Can you imagine what would’ve happened if they only released When I said goodbye? Other then that #14 seems about right for me. Colorful and fun, though the setting is slightly simply. I also enjoy the styling, especially for the ‘good’ Steps. Summer received votes between a six and an eight making it’s average score a 7.11.

  14. Shall we start a poll for this one?
  15. #15 Stomp (7.00) • Director: David Amphlett • Location: A luxury penthouse (Chiswick) • Released: Oktober 2000 • YouTube views: 3.951.000 Kicking of the top 15 is the video for Stomp. It was filmed in Chiswick and features group members Lisa and H looking after a penthouse apartment while the owner Bill (Dave Legeno) is away on business. They, and the other group members, then throw a party for all their friends but struggle to tidy up before the owner returns. This was the first single of their third album Buzz and got them their second #1 single. On one hand I’m not surprised that Stomp got this far. It’s fun and it’s giving you very ‘2000’s party with your friends’ vibe. On the other hand it’s a bit childish and I’m surprised it’s higher then After for example. In the voting it got scores between a six and an eight ending with a respectable 7 as it’s average score.
  16. Current streams Burnt out and falling: 6.275 (it’s in her current top 5).
  17. I corrected After  That’s ok! For me the whole vibe is a bit frumpy. But hé, that’s just me ;)

  19. #16 After the love has gone (6.77) • Directors: Camerson Casey and Simon Brand • Location: Universal studios • Released: Oktober 1999 • YouTube views: 5.053.000 Next at #16 we have, with a slight difference, the video for After the love has gone. The music video for the song was shot at Universal Studios Florida in Orlando and has Asian influences. It was directed by Cameron Casey and Simón Brand. The group wear jade-green outfits for the dance sequences, in a setting of Chinese lanterns and a dancing dragon. One of their videos that I personally really enjoy. It has budget and you can see the time and effort they put into this one. I thought it would end up a little higher actually. After the love scores were devising as it got scores between an one and a nine.
  20. I own 99.9% of it’s views
  21. The biggest ‘meh’ with regards to Story is the styling of the band! At least with the S club video it has more of a ‘clean’ vibe. I do enjoy their new material but the old ones have more nostalgic for me. I made a playlist with all the videos and once in a while I play it. The next video will be announced soon! Any predictions?
  22. Me too. Though it is their most known hot outside the UK so I guess it’s getting a lot of views on a global scale.
  23. • You are welcome :) The video countdown got my inspired. • Finished but there might be some mistakes. • I’m going to update this every 2-3 months. • Maybe I’m going to include the Spotify stats as well. Those are just a little harder to update I’ve noticed as I need my laptop.
