Rob Zombie

Rest In Peace Dolly. An enternal icon <3

They'll be covering 2005 in a couple of weeks!

Would've liked Ricky to make top 5 but could see the predictability of this happening lol. Still 6th is nothing to scoff at I guess. (It's the only one in this batch I actually bought the cd of too, in the rain no less x). Sunshine's forgettable song to go again.

'Private Emotion' was originally recorded by American band The Hooters in 1993.. Puerto Rican hit maker Ricky Martin released his version of the track in 2000 teaming up with Swedish singer Meja. They took the song to number 9 in the UK in early 2000 where it became a third top 10 hit for Ricky. In the music video French model and actress Auriélie Claudel makes an appearance. 6 Ricky Martin Ft Meja - Private Emotion 13/26 votes 7 Taio Cruz - I Can Be 15/28 votes 8 Babyshambles - f*** Forever 14/29 votes 9 Craig David - What's Your Flava? 11/28 votes 10 Daniel Bedingfield - Nothing Hurts Like Love 8/22 votes Vote Your Least Fave

Sticking with 'Hollywood' which leaves a pretty solid top 3 then!

Bloc Party are next out with 'Two More Years'. The track was originally a non album single but it was later added as a bonus track on re-released versions of the groups debut album Silent Alarm. It peaked at 7 in October 2005. 5 Bloc Party - Two More Years 9/23 votes 6 Sunblock Ft Robin Beck - First Time 9/27 votes 7 Elton John Ft Alessandro Safina - Your Song 12/30 votes 8 Flo Rida Ft Timbaland - Elevator 11/27 votes 9 DJ Luck & MC Neat Ft JJ - Masterblaster 2000 7/21 votes 10 Dane Bowers - Shut Up and Forget About It 19/28 votes Vote Your Least Fave

Too Far Gone.

This was such a bop! Some great shouts in here.. 'Trick Me', 'Perfect Bliss', 'Please Stay', Shark In The Water' all fab.

Both of Lisa's songs are better than anything H and Clairs put out for me so voted them. ( looks like they are out of Love 🤭).

Swedish electronic production group Sunblock jet off in 6th with their remix of Robin Beck's 1988 #1 hit 'First Time' which peaked at 9 in May 2006 giving Martin Pihl and Magnus Nordin a second straight top 10 after 'I'll Be Ready'. They'd have one more top 20 hit in 2007 with a cover of Corona's 'Baby Baby'. 6 Sunblock Ft Robin Beck - First Time 9/27 votes 7 Elton John Ft Alessandro Safina - Your Song 12/30 votes 8 Flo Rida Ft Timbaland - Elevator 11/27 votes 9 DJ Luck & MC Neat Ft JJ - Masterblaster 2000 7/21 votes 10 Dane Bowers - Shut Up and Forget About It 19/28 votes Vote Your Least Fave

Taio Cruz is next to go with 'I Can Be'. It was the fourth single released from his debut album ironically called Departure and peaked at 18 in May 2008. 7 Taio Cruz - I Can Be 15/28 votes 8 Babyshambles - f*** Forever 14/29 votes 9 Craig David - What's Your Flava? 11/28 votes 10 Daniel Bedingfield - Nothing Hurts Like Love 8/22 votes Vote Your Least Fave!

Tie needs breaking.

Glad no one noticed my blip of leaving Christina off here 🤭 rather than scrap the thread I've added her at the end with the year of it's EOY position in brackets (same with the other songs) Apologies if that confuses anyone!

This. 'First Time' and 'Two More Years' probably my next two choices but they are both solid.

Well.. my next vote is 'Sexyback' so prepare to be disappointed again lol. Sunshine's I barely recall though. I totally get why Taio's is being targeted but have always found it fairly nice. Did get to 9 in my chart too x

Elton John's first single across his career 'Your Song' was a top 10 hit in 1970 and has been covered numerous times over the years including by Ellie Goulding who's version got to 2 in 2010. In 2002 though Elton re-recorded the track as a duet with Italian Operatic Pop Tenor Alessandro Safina in aid of Sports Relief and resulted in a peak of 4. It finds itself out in 7th here. 7 Elton John Ft Alessandro Safina - Your Song 12/30 votes 8 Flo Rida Ft Timbaland - Elevator 11/27 votes 9 DJ Luck & MC Neat Ft JJ - Masterblaster 2000 7/21 votes 10 Dane Bowers - Shut Up and Forget About It 19/28 votes Vote Your Least Fave

Sunshine Anderson for me now but it's ok.

Babyshambles highest charting single drops out in 8th spot. 'f*** Forever' peaked at 4 in August 2005 and comes off their debut album Down In Albion. Pete Doherty formed the band whilst on a hiatus from his other group The Libertines. 8 Babyshambles - f*** Forever 14/29 votes 9 Craig David - What's Your Flava? 11/28 votes 10 Daniel Bedingfield - Nothing Hurts Like Love 8/22 votes Vote Your Least Fave!

'Paradise' would be my fave and up there with Coldplay best. Mylo Xyloto is the only album I have of theirs (should attempt to get X&Y somewhen) and is very good. 'Somebody That I Used To Know', 'Feel The Love' and 'We Are Young' are all brilliant too and finished within my top 15 of the year. 'Some Nights' was my 1 of the year though as it had a slight edge in preference for me from the latter part of 2012. Really good run of singles Fun. had as I quite liked 'Carry On' too albeit to a lesser extent than those two!

7/10 very good for the artwork. Good but could be better overall as not as many standout faves. Disc 1 - t.A.T.u. with GA and XTM next in line. Disc 2 - Emma with Busted and Feeder closing out top 3.

'All The Small Things' is a rock tune. Like 'Still D.R.E' as well. 'Mama Told Me Not To Come' is... alright but not particularly cared for that. Like the 5ive song and bought Geri's (I know it's naff cheese but 7 year old self didn't care then haha). Actually bought all of Geri's singles from that one up to 'Calling'. Wouldn't say she was my top Spice Girl but that would suggest otherwise lol.

Going to Babyshambles. Hadn't heard it before and didn't care for it much either so fairly easy choice as I like both the Ricky and Taio songs.

Craig David ran out of flavours as 'What's Your Flava?' falls out 9th. It was the lead single from Craig's second album Slicker Than Your Average and peaked at 8 in November 2002. It was featured in the 2003 film What A Girl Wants and was also used in a commercial for Mattel's unsuccessful Flava Dolls and in 2007 for Popeye's Chicken commercials. 9 Craig David - What's Your Flava? 11/28 votes 10 Daniel Bedingfield - Nothing Hurts Like Love 8/22 votes Vote Your Least Fave!

Sir Elton and Alessandro your time has now come.
