'Domino' is great. I didn't like Jessie as a personality much but she did have some decent tunes amongst the crap.

Don't particularly care for R.I.P. and never did. I prefer the other two of Rita's to come. 'Young' is okay but also rather throwaway.

Julian rates every Top 40 hit: the 1980s edition
'I Want To Break Free' is classic Queen with a classic video. 'The Reflex' is fab. My fave Duran Duran single! Also like 'One Love' and 'Footloose'

Round 5 : End Of Year Survivor #147
Les Rythmes Digitales now but the Madonna song is rather weak too.

Round 5 : End Of Year Survivor #147
The brainchild of Blue member Simon Webbe, Melody from DJ Pied Piper and The Master of Ceremonies and established singer songwriter Ali Tenant who formed the production company called Love For Music leaves next in the form of short lived R&B band VS which features pre X Factor/JLS fame act Marvin Humes. 'Love You Like Mad' was the debut release in February 2004 and it peaked at 7. They'd go onto have two more top 20 hits before splitting. Their sole album charted at... #142 and in the Irish charts a place lower than that. 7 VS - Love You Like Mad (9/23 votes) 8 Nelly Ft Fergie - Party People (7/30 votes) 9 Kanye West Ft T-Pain - Good Life (8/31 votes) 10 One True Voice - Sacred Trust / After You're Gone (14/28 votes) Vote your Least Fave

'This Is Love' is fine but not a major essential or anything. I did chart and really like 'Silly Boy' though. Completely oblivious to what BJSC was at the time!

Bumping this as only 20 votes atm.

Ultimate Survivor 14 : Round 4
Poor Vanessa but at least she won her own survivor. Would've been in my top 2 here with Linkin Park.

On the opposite side of the spectrum I was a fan of a lot of Maroon 5's output up to then but this is one of their weakest for me so not fussed with it gone early. I did like both of the follow up singles however ('One More Night' & 'Daylight').

Ultimate Survivor 14 : Round 3
Close and low votes but still a 3 way tie.

Round 3 : End Of Year Survivor #148
Gonna vote for Angel City this time. It's ok but would much rather listen to 'Children' in it's original form!

Round 3 : End Of Year Survivor #148
Taken as the fourth single to be taken from Daniel Bedingfield's debut album Gotta Get Thru This.. 'I Can't Read You' bows out in 9th. It reached 6 in April 2003. 9 Daniel Bedingfield - I Can't Read You (9/27 votes) 10 Elvis Presley - Wooden Heart (21/31 votes) Vote Your Least Fave!

A great top 3 there. All highlights from each artist. Thanks for hosting these Jade. Been nice following and taking part and the commentaries have been fab!

Might not be a particularly popular opinion but I quite liked his version of 'Impossible'. I get why his voice irks people though and his releases did gradually get worse and worse. Think only 'Recovery' was the only other of his I didn't mind. Shontelle's version is good too.

2000s and 2010s hits returning to the charts years after release
Belated post for 'Waka Waka' returning amongst the Football songs! Bittersweet for Shakira with the other one 'Dai Dai' going top 5, her first top 5 since 'She Wolf' in 09 while this doesn't get a new peak sadly.

Fab to see Shakira get a top 5 hit in 2026 *.* shame it's not 'Waka Waka' but this is okish.

'Sing' is pretty forgettable but I didn't mind it too much. Certainly 'Wherever You Are' is by far superior. 'Turn Up The Music' is pretty crap and think would be my last placer here. Admittedly do like some CB songs from 2008 and 'Beautiful People' from 2011 but never liked him anyway so him making the news for awful stuff doesn't surprise me at all.

Round 4 : End Of Year Survivor #147
'Party People' was alright for me but neither of eithers best so not a loss also. Still on VS. At least Daz's is catchy no matter how you look at it lol.

Round 4 : End Of Year Survivor #147
Nelly rides out with 'Party People' in 8th place. Taken as the lead single from the rappers fifth album Brass Knuckles and featuring Fergie. It was also slotted onto Fergie's delivery edition of her album The Dutchess. Originally it was intended for Chamillionaire but he passed up on it. It peaked at 14 in April 2008. The video features cameos from Polow Da Don who produced the track, Keri Hilson and Ciara! 8 Nelly Ft Fergie - Party People (7/30 votes) 9 Kanye West Ft T-Pain - Good Life (8/31 votes) 10 One True Voice - Sacred Trust / After You're Gone (14/28 votes) Vote your Least Fave

What is the first song you really despised?
I think it would be 'Fairground' by Simply Red. Really couldn't stand that one when I was younger and still not massively keen on it now.

Ultimate Survivor 14 : Round 3
Will go with 'Put Em High' this time but it's fine. Was going back and forth with that and 'An Honest Mistake'.
