  1. Quite like 'Mass Destruction' aw. Still on Kaisers. Long overdue to leave for one of their weaker singles imo.
  2. In a tightly close battle it is goodbye to Faithless with 'Mass Destruction' in 5th. It was the lead single from the electronic bands fourth album No Roots. The song relates to the Iraq War which started the year before. The track peaked at 7 in 2004. 5 Faithless - Mass Destruction (10/27 votes) 6 Supermode - Tell Me Why (11/30 votes) 7 Layo & Bushwacka! - Love Story (vs Finally) (11/27 votes) 8 Roll Deep - The Avenue (12/30 votes) 9 Artful Dodger Ft Melanie Blatt - Twenty Four Seven (11/24 votes) 10 Blazin Squad - Love On The Line (21/27 votes) Vote your Least Fave
  3. A pretty solid batch here imo. Predictably S Club and Martine will be first two out but think I actually prefer both of them to that awful Gwen song so targeting that first.
  4. Tie between Gabrielle and Faithless to be broken! Think someone swapped from Kaiser Chiefs to one of those.
  5. Vote Your Least Fave!
  6. Guess I'll go with Sugababes to win again as it's from this century, both obviously classics. Understandably will be a lack of enthusiasm with this final though which I would agree with lol.
  7. Amerie reaches third spot with 'Take Control'. It was the lead single from her third album Because I Love It. Cee Lo Green had a hand in being one of the writers for the track and he also was one of the producers on it too. It contains excerpts from the 1970 song 'Jimmy Renda-se' by Brazilian musician Tom Zé along with elements of the 80's hit 'You Make My Dreams' by Hall & Oates. The video takes inspiration from Michelangelo Antonioni's 1966 film Blow Up. 3 Amerie - Take Control (18/30 votes) 4 Beverley Knight - Shoulda Woulda Coulda (14/29 votes) 5 Inaya Day - Nasty Girl (11/24 votes) 6 Samantha Mumba - Lately (13/31 votes) 7 Geri - Ride It (11/22 votes) 8 David Sneddon - Don't Let Go (15/26 votes) 9 A1 - Like A Rose (13/29 votes) 10 Leon Jackson - Don't Call This Love (16/27 votes) Vote for your Winner!
  8. Voted for Bon Jovi, Depeche Mode and Tina Turner as the main ones people would be surprised didn't have a #1 imo.
  9. This is quite good but I do prefer 'Nothin On You' of the two.
  10. 'Push The Button' has also won this before too so not an exactly inspired final 2 lol.
  11. Fab start to top 5 with 'Bad Romance' whilst a repeat in these. Timeless Gaga. 'Only Girl (In The World)' is a tricky one as it is indeed a banger but can't deny the chorus does grind a bit on me a fair bit so it would come down to like but not love it personally. It is by far best her best era and am glad to have the accompanying album as the only one of hers I own. The red hair look is her best look by far. 'Happiness' is a bop also.

  13. Rusev has been spreading the 'Bangaranga' word on tv lately and now sporting a shirt with it too
  14. In 6th spot we have Supermode; again consisting of Axwell and Steve Angello who would later be part of Swedish House Mafia. 'Tell Me Why' was the only hit under the Supermode disguise when it peaked at 13 in July 2006 and interpolates two Bronski Beat songs, 'Smalltown Boy' and 'Why?'. The vocals are reconstructed and performed by Hal Ritson. 6 Supermode - Tell Me Why (11/30 votes) 7 Layo & Bushwacka! - Love Story (vs Finally) (11/27 votes) 8 Roll Deep - The Avenue (12/30 votes) 9 Artful Dodger Ft Melanie Blatt - Twenty Four Seven (11/24 votes) 10 Blazin Squad - Love On The Line (21/27 votes) Vote your Least Fave
  15. Beverley Knight is next to exit with 'Shoulda Woulda Coulda'. Taken as the second single taken from her second studio album Who I Am and giving Bev her first top 10 single when it peaked at 10. It's about the breakup of her long term relationship because of putting her career first. The video was filmed in Cape Town South Africa which was also used for her 2007 single 'No Man's Land'! 4 Beverley Knight - Shoulda Woulda Coulda (14/29 votes) 5 Inaya Day - Nasty Girl (11/24 votes) 6 Samantha Mumba - Lately (13/31 votes) 7 Geri - Ride It (11/22 votes) 8 David Sneddon - Don't Let Go (15/26 votes) 9 A1 - Like A Rose (13/29 votes) 10 Leon Jackson - Don't Call This Love (16/27 votes) Vote your Least Fave
  16. Don't mind that but prefer 'Green Light' as generic as that is.
  17. That would be the other end for me oops. Never liked them and this didn't change anything for me. I guess it is probably their best by default as it's not as annoying and using the same formula as their other hits but still left me feeling nothing.
  18. Looking forward to this. 2000 was a fun year for pop and dance music!
  19. I don't think I knew that or just forgot. Good for him though.
  20. Just bumping this as I don't think I see Infernal mentioned who've just been in our latest contest and was mentioned as having two hits. Also Micky Modelle from the same year had a top 10 then a low top 40 hit!
  21. 'Northern Star' is superb <3 my fave new entry across both those weeks.
  22. 'Written In The Stars' is the only Tinie track I have any time for. Love it. Really anthemic track. Will be rated inside the top 10 for me too.
  23. Princess Diana's death I think.
