  1. Out first goes Rik Waller who took part in Pop Idol 1 and made it the final 10 but laryngitis forced him out of the show leading to Darius Danesh replacing him. Rik signed with EMI records label shortly after and released his debut album From Now.. and the first single from it was a cover of 'I Will Always Love You' originally by Dolly Parton and was made even more famous with Whitney Houston who took it to no.1 for 10 weeks in 1992. Rik's version peaked at 6 and he subsequently followed up with another cover in Labi Siffre's '(Something Inside) So Strong' which charted at 25. Also in 2002 He appeared on Celebrity Fit Club however he was kicked off the show when caught binge eating! 10 Rik Waller - I Will Always Love You (26/31 votes) Vote Your Least Favourite!
  2. Oh yeah getting them mixed up way round lol.
  3. Never been too mad on 'Survivor' but it's okay. Much prefer 'Bootylicious'. 'Get The Party Started' is a fun early bop. P!nk's first really good single and of which I bought the cd of at the time from Woolies.
  4. 'Should I Stay Or Should I Go?' and 'Do You Really Want To Hurt Me' are both superb. 'Pass The Dutchie' is a tune as well!
  5. Unfortunately 'That's Not My Name' got on my nerves to fully enjoy. I do like the music element though and I guess the chorus does get looped in your head regardless. I did and still do enjoy 'Shut Up and Let Me Go' though. My ranking, some of them would be higher or lower if I ranked this in 2009 mind. 1. Coldplay - Viva La Vida 2. Duffy - Mercy 3. Beyoncé - If I Were A Boy 4. Pink - So What 5. Katy Perry - I Kissed A Girl 6. Mint Royale - Singin In The Rain 7. Madonna Ft Justin Timberlake - 4 Minutes 8. Girls Aloud - The Promise 9. Dizzee Rascal Ft Calvin Harris & Chrome - Dance Wiv Me 10. Ne-Yo - Closer 11. Kings Of Leon - Sex On Fire 12. Kid Rock - All Summer Long 13. Basshunter - Now You're Gone 14. Alexandra Burke - Hallelujah 15. Ting Tings - That's Not My Name 16. Leona Lewis - Run 17. Estelle Ft Kanye West - American Boy 18. X Factor Finalists - Hero 19. Take That - Greatest Day 20. Leon Jackson - When You Believe 21. Rihanna - Take a Bow Edit : thanks for running Herbs. It's been an interesting one to follow and it's delivered in being a fun one!
  6. A shame that missed top 10. A thoroughly energic and fun pop banger.
  7. 'The Promise' is great though I did tire quickly of it at one point after like 6 weeks but fortunately whenever I've heard it years later and especially now it sounds good. Fun track. Really liked the follow ups too especially 'Untouchable', their sole chart topper for me!
  8. Will need to recheck a couple of these again but easy first choice goes to Rik Waller!

  10. Going for Britney next. Never been mad on that one from her!
  11. Next out is Craig David with 'All The Way'. It was the lead single taken from Craig's third album The Story Goes... and peaked at 3 giving him a 10th top 10 hit up to this point. 9 Craig David - All The Way (16/28 votes) 10 Irv Gotti Presents Ja Rule, Ashanti, Vita and Charlie Balitmore - Down 4 U (8/26 votes) Vote your Least Favourite!
  12. Still enjoy 'So What' lots whenever I do hear it and the accompanying album is fab. Was indeed great to see it finally give P!nk another number one after all this time! 'American Boy' was the song I was referring to oops. Find it on the boring end and would place near the bottom for me but I did at least like Kanye's parts on the track. I don't think I've heard any of Estelle's singles before it (and can't recall her follow up) so maybe I might like some of those. Think I'm backing Girls Aloud to come out on top here!
  13. I like 'Misfit' but prefer 'Just A Little Girl'.
  14. Out first is the late American record producer and executive Irv Gotti who dropped 'Down 4 U' as the lead single from the second Murder Inc (now used as just The Inc.) Compilation album. On the track stars Ja Rule, Ashanti along with Vita and Charlie Balitmore and it interpolates Roger Toutman's 1987 hit 'I Want To Be Your Man' for which Roger and his brother Larry were given writing credits. In the video Eric Roberts, Clarence Williams III, Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston all making cameos. 10 Irv Gotti Presents Ja Rule, Ashanti, Vita and Charlie Balitmore - Down 4 U (8/26 votes) Vote your Least Favourite!
  15. Stereophonics to win for me!
  16. English DJ and Producer Dave Lee under one of his stage names Jakatta lands up in 3rd place with the third single under that name in September 2002, 'My Vision' which features vocals from Seal and which bases on the composition "Brooks Was Here" from the 1994 Prison drama film Shawshank Redemption which was scored by Thomas Newman. 3 Jakatta Ft Seal - My Vision (13/28 votes) 4 Katy Perry - Waking Up In Vegas (14/29 votes) 5 The Libertines - Can't Stand Me Now (10/26 votes) 6 The Pussycat Dolls - I Don't Need A Man (9/28 votes) 7 Wyclef Jean Ft Mary J Blige - 911 (14/26 votes) 8 Queen - Don't Stop Me Now (8/29 votes) 9 So Solid Crew - They Don't Know (11/24 votes) 10 Akon - Sorry, Blame It On Me (7/22 votes) Vote your Winner!
  17. That was my #1 of 2008 and spent 7 weeks at the top of my chart also. I was aware it has mixed opinions though so 6th is respectable here! There's one I hope is next to go, should've been out much earlier x
  18. Actually prefer GA's cover of 'Jump' to the original oops. That ones fine but this one has catchier production for me. Like 'Born To Try' but agreed she has better and 'Jenny From The Block also. Not crazy on what else has fallen since last commenting, even Kelly's!
  19. Voted!
  20. This will be on pause now until someone wants to posts the results going forth! I'll be sticking with the survivor polls though.
  21. 1351st 18/31 Votes The Corrs manage to bag themselves their first survivor win here ('Breathless' was 2nd in No.33) with 'Summer Sunshine'. It's the first release from the fourth album Borrowed Heaven, 'Summer Sunshine'. It gave the Irish siblings band another top 10 hit, their sixth, peaking at 6 in May 2004. 2nd 13/31 votes Eminem takes runner up position with his release 'The Way I Am' which peaked at 8 in 2000 coming off the Marshall Mathers LP. Written about the negative sides of public and fame and touches on the pressure put on him to better his The Slim Shady LP. 3 Take That - Up All Night (14/27 Votes) 4 James Morrison - Wonderful World (11/25 Votes) 5 Bloc Party - Flux (11/28 Votes) 6 Mis-teeq - Roll On / This Is How We Do It (14/29 Votes) 7 Louise - Pandora's Kiss / Don't Give Up (14/27 Votes) 8 Taio Cruz - She's Like A Star (12/27 Votes) 9 Steps - Words Are Not Enough / I Know Him So Well (11/29 votes) 10 Liberty X - A Night To Remember (10/30 votes)
  22. I like the reggae instrumentation of 'Everything I Own' but nothing else. Not really into much of what I know of Boy George's solo output in general considering I'm a fan of Culture Club. 'The Crying Game' is better at least though.
  23. 'Mercy' is great, liked all of Duffy's releases from Rockferry including the title track itself! 'Greatest Day' I didn't mind for a couple of listens but it's really just got a underwhelming chorus which ultimately makes it very meh in retrospect as it doesn't take off anywhere interesting.
  24. Will go for Jakatta now but was close between that and The Bravery!
  25. Katy Perry departs in 4th place with 'Waking Up In Vegas'. It was the fourth and final single to be taken from Katy's second studio album One Of The Boys and peaked at 19. It was written about an underage couple getting drunk and blowing it in Las Vegas paying homage to the phrase "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas". 4 Katy Perry - Waking Up In Vegas (14/29 votes) 5 The Libertines - Can't Stand Me Now (10/26 votes) 6 The Pussycat Dolls - I Don't Need A Man (9/28 votes) 7 Wyclef Jean Ft Mary J Blige - 911 (14/26 votes) 8 Queen - Don't Stop Me Now (8/29 votes) 9 So Solid Crew - They Don't Know (11/24 votes) 10 Akon - Sorry, Blame It On Me (7/22 votes) Vote your Least Fave!
