  17. OVED-UP pair JESSE METCALFE and NADINE COYLE have considered moving in together... in Los Angeles. The leggy GIRLS ALOUD beauty has been with the Desperate Housewives hunk for more than a year now. And the sickeningly good-looking couple want to take things to the next stage by sharing a pad together. Jesse said: "We have considered moving in together." "I have a really nice home and I think I'm a good guy to make a home with." In the same interview with OK magazine, Nadine told how she had been thinking about buying in LA. She says: "I have to admit the houses in LA are a lot cheaper than you'd expect, so maybe I should buy one." The move might be a way off, but it will worry fans of the band as it will prove difficult for Nadine to honour her Girls Aloud commitments from the other side of the Atlantic. She has already been getting into the Hollywood lifestyle - hanging around with none other than Paris Hilton. She added: "Paris Hilton came up to me in Toronto and said to me: 'Oh my God, you're so cute, I love your dress.' "And then she said: 'What are you doing afterwards, you have to come out with us!' She was really nice and really funny."
  18. Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle is to marry her Hollywood actor lover Jesse Metcalfe, the London Eye column can exclusively reveal. According to an impeccably placed source, the former Desperate Housewives heart-throb will get down on one knee and propose to his Irish singing beauty "imminently" after spending just over a year as boyfriend and girlfriend. We're told: "Nadine and Jesse are completely in love and their relationship was sealed by her trip to Los Angeles to stay with Jesse recently. "They are extremely happy together and deal with a transatlantic love affair very well and so marriage is the next step for them." That's hardly surprising. 21-year-old Nadine told us recently how smitten she is with Jesse - otherwise known as Desperate Housewives' stud gardener John Rowland, who had an affair with Wisteria Lane's resident Latino seductress, Gabrielle Solis - played by Eva Longoria. She said: "Jesse is so fit and I am so lucky. I know I am." Jesse is Nadine's first serious love since she split with her former Charlton Athletic footballer boyfriend Neil McCafferty nearly three years ago. The pair were childhood sweethearts but went their seperate ways after three years together. Both claimed to be broken-hearted at the time. Nadine and Jesse got together in February 2006 after they met at a Sydney hotel where chart-toppers Girls Aloud were staying. They immediately went on a date in the romantic Australian city, and quickly became one of the most high-profile couples in showbiz. Only two weeks ago, Ulster-born Nadine returned from LA where she was staying with Jesse. Even her parents jetted over to meet the man who will be their son-in-law. However, despite living on opposite sides of the pond, we are assured that their soon-to-be engagement will not spell the end of Britain's most popular girlband since the Spice Girls. After being massively successful contributors to Comic Relief on Friday, they are now in the studio together working on a new album before beginning their gruelling rehearsals for their forthcoming tour. And, yes, Sarah Harding will be involved. Contrary to silly reports that she is to go it alone, she cites a one-off karaoke singsong with Chris Moyles as no reason to go solo. 19. Louis Walsh says Girls Aloud will split after their next album. The Irish music mogul thinks the band has struggled since Nadine Coyle moved to Los Angeles to be with actor lover Jesse Metcalfe. Louis claims Girls Aloud will call it a day after their next record and accompanying tour. He told New magazine: "They're doing one more album for Polydor. I think rumours about the band splitting started because Nadine is in Los Angeles, but she's only in Los Angeles because she's going out with a guy there, Jesse Metcalfe. "She's with Jesse and there's not a thing we can do about it. But she's happy." Louis rubbished rumours of a rift between Nadine and her fellow bandmates, Sarah Harding, Cheryl Tweedy, Nicole Roberts and Kimberley Walsh. He insisted: They're getting on better than ever. They're getting on with it. They look great, they're always in the papers, they will definitely release another album and they're going on tour." Credit: Monsters & Critics
  20. Who wins Posh's WAG crown? POSH’S move to LA has set tongues WAG-ging: who will steal her crown now? Abbey’s assets are ample and Cassie’s got talent to spare but our money’s on either Cheryl Cole or Coleen McLoughlin. Girls Aloud star Cheryl is currently enjoying a number one hit with WAG (sorry, Walk) This Way while Col has secured a £1.5 million magazine deal for her summer wedding. But which of them will triumph in the war of the wives and girlfriends? As their footie fellas battle it out on the pitch, we rate the girls’ chances of reigning supreme in Mrs B’s absence. CELEB PALS Cheryl: The Oscar awards invite is a long way off but Cheryl’s still got plenty of stars on speed dial. Girls Aloud, the Beckhams, sexy Jesse Metcalfe and most of the big names on the British pop scene are pals of the likeable Geordie. Even Lily Allen wants to be her, penning a song called Cheryl Tweedy about our Chez and how great her life is. 3/5 Coleen: Hmm, take away the England and Man Utd teams (plus their WAGs) and Col’s celeb mates look thin on the ground. Fellow Scousers and former Atomic Kittens Liz McLarnon and Natasha Hamilton are pals but the only other big name in Col’s A-list address book is, er, Cheryl Cole. She gets one point for securing Wayne’s mate P Diddy for her birthday bash in April. 1/5 FAMILY Cheryl: Oh dear. Cheryl’s also one of four children in a close-knit family but the Tweedy track record isn’t as shiny as Col’s. Brother Andrew was given a four-year prison sentence in 2005 for a vicious street robbery on a teenager. The 27-year-old had already served six years in prison for stabbing two students. Of course, none of this is Cheryl’s fault but it doesn’t cast a good light on her nightclub outburst of 2003 either. 1/5 Coleen: Part of a close-knit Catholic family, Coleen talks with pride about growing up one of four children in Croxteth, Liverpool. Little sister Rosie has Rett’s Syndrome, which has left her in a wheelchair with severe learning difficulties. Col is a respected campaigner for children’s charities as a result. Col recently admitted she cried non-stop for two weeks when she first moved out of her parents’ home. Aww. 4/5 WEDDING Cheryl: Cheryl secured a £1 million magazine deal for her fairytale Hertfordshire wedding to Ashley Cole last summer. The blushing bride looked weddy to burst with happiness as she walked down the aisle in a Roberto Cavalli dress with her Girls Aloud bandmates as bridesmaids. Rumour has it the wedding cost a whopping £500,000 with £3,000 spent on the cake alone from Posh’s favourite bakers, the Little Venice Cake Company. 3.5/5 Coleen: The new queen of matri-money, Col has secured a staggering £1.5 million magazine deal for rights to her wedding and 21st birthday bash. There are rumours the pair plan to donate their mag fee to Alder Hey children’s hospital in Liverpool. A source close to the couple said: “The charity donation was mainly Coleen's idea because Wayne was initially sceptical about a magazine deal due to the tacky, celebrity connotations. But now he's chuffed with it.” Watch this space. 4/5 TALENT Cheryl: The dimpled diva burst onto our screens in Popstars: The Rivals in 2002. One fifth of the hottest girl group in Britain, Cheryl’s band Girls Aloud are currently at number one in the charts with Walk This Way. Rumour has it she’s turned down an offer of judging on The X-Factor but her cheeky, say-anything attitude and stunning looks ensure she’ll be on our screens long after Aloud are all over. 4/5 Coleen: “I can’t sing to save my life,” Col recently admitted. So she’s clearly no chart rival for Cheryl. But the Scouse lass just loves to Liver it up on the dancefloor. A big fan of reality shows, she’s hinted she’d like a part on Strictly Come Dancing so the offer’s in the post no doubt. Add to that a £10 million fortune, best-selling fitness video and weekly column in Closer and our Col’s looking quite the all-rounder. 2.5/5 STYLE Cheryl: If it’s ultra-feline and figure-hugging, Cheryl’s a fan. The star has lost weight since the band started and the flesh-spilling corsets of old are long gone. In their place are subtle wardrobe staples in satins and silks and stunning red carpet gowns. Still one hundred per cent sexy, Cheryl’s style is girl-next-door come good. 3/5 Coleen: Another girl-next-door come good, can it really be only three years since Col was last spotted in her puffa and school uniform? Coleen admits she loves clothes and is never afraid to take a fashion risk, getting it right most of the time. She recently launched her book Welcome To My World at Liverpool’s top boutique Cricket and is the face of bargain fashion line George @ Asda. 3.5/5 FELLAS Cheryl: Sexy Chelsea defender Ashley Cole first spotted Cheryl in a nightclub and shouted, "Hey hot lips, nice bum!" at her. Hardly swept off her feet by his charm, Cheryl only dated Ash after psychic Gareth Francis told her to. The pair tied the knot in a romantic ceremony last summer after he went down on one knee on a camel ride in the deserts of Dubai. Dogged by injury since his controversial transfer from Arsenal last year, Ash has yet to prove his real worth for the Blues. 3/5 Coleen: Worth £15 million thanks to his Man Utd contract and numerous sponsorship deals, Wayne is the biggest catch in the world on paper. But we’re still not sure we would. Not the best-looking lad, Wayne shamed Col in 2004 when stories of sleazy nights with middle-aged hookers came out. Coleen stuck by him despite the scandal and got a £25,000 engagement ring handed to her on a BP forecourt for her trouble. How romantic. 2/5 So there you have it ... CHERYL COLE'S the winner by a whisker with 17.5 points. Hand over that crown now, Victoria, your best mate Chez is waiting in the wings.
  21. Girls Aloud have confirmed plans to kick off this year's Summer Pops festival season in Merseyside. The girl group will appear at the 4,000-seater big top on July 3.
