  1. I've no idea what you mean.
  2. 18th December Random Year: 2018 Random Position: 73 East 17 - Stay Another Day (peaked at #1) -wNhdjoF-6M
  3. Judging by the slightly lowbeat video they just put out on youtube about the chart race so far, they must have seen early midweeks that suggest that they aren't doing that well this year. They did quote that they've had 85,000 streams so far but Mariah has had 2.5m in the same time.
  4. 17th December Random Year: 1967 Random Position: 20 Frankie Vaughan - There Must Be A Way (peaked at #7) scjf0N-ny1M
  5. 16th December Random Year: 2019 Random Position: 44 Idina Menzel & Aurora - Into The Unknown (peaked at #19) gIOyB9ZXn8s Appropriate that the random generator selected a song from Frozen II during this time of very cold weather.
  6. I've got a feeling that this is the first version, and that the 'with special guests' version hasn't been released yet. I wonder if he's trolling everyone, and if the other version will drop on Monday and will have all the real stars corresponding to the lookalikes on the currently released version.
  7. 15th December Random Year: 1977 Random Position: 15 Elvis Costello - Watching The Detectives (peaked at #15) snPDoXl9ZPs
  8. They are officially announcing them tomorrow at 9am when the video goes live online. They did a livestream yestereday evening where they gave a few clues. There is one person who is very well know for piano, and a another who is very well known for guitar. And it also involves a reunion of sorts apparently.
  9. 14th December Random Year: 2013 Random Position: 77 Arctic Monkeys - Do I Wanna Know (peaked at #11) bpOSxM0rNPM
  10. 13th December Random Year: 1998 Random Position: 56 The Stereophonics - The Bartender And The Thief (peaked at #3) 7rzD52hOChs
  11. 12th December Random Year: 2010 Random Position: 57 Bob ft Rivers Cuomo - Magic (peaked at #16) Cq-NShfefks
  12. Mark has just uploaded a video confirming that he is releasing a re-worked version of Do They Know It's Christmas, with Roxy, and with Martin Lewis, the financial advice guy.
  13. 11th December Random Year: 2012 Random Position: 51 Band Aid - Do They Know It's Christmas? (peaked at #1 in 1984) bmj7KlIut1w It's taken 11 days of random Christmas chart positions to finally land on an actual Christmas song.
  14. And in any case, whilst Mark can't really sing, Roxy can sing really very well if she isn't busy laughing at or berating Mark
  15. I'm very found of Truly, Madly, Deeply tbh, and before they released it To The Moon And Back had flopped and probably no-one would remember it now if not for the success of Truly, Madly, Deeply, which led to subsequent re-releases of both their previous two charting singles. Looking at their charting singles after that point I do remember I Knew I Loved You, and quite liked it, but none of the others singles titles ring a bell just looking at them, but I might have a Savage Garden binge at some point, and I suspect I'd recognise most or all of them if I actually listen to them.
  16. 10th December Random Year: 2000 Random Position: 71 Zombie Nation - Kernkraft 400 (peaked at #2, only held off the top spot for two weeks by that Buzzjack favourite, Against All Odds by Mariah Carey and Westlife) up-Jfe4Y6Vo I honestly thought at the time that it was the song that was called Zombie Nation, given how much they sing that phrase, and only realised years later that that was the name of the act.
  17. All four so far have raised money for the same charity, The Trussell Trust, so he isn't just jumping on different charity bandwagons each year as you imply. Personally I like his singles, and I think plenty of people will remember them for years to come, particular the first one, but I do think if he can just get the overall record this year by getting a fifth then that might be the right time for him to draw a line under it as the law of diminishing returns will probably kick in at some point even if he manages to put out equally good parodies in future years.
  18. 9th December Random Year: 1965 Random Position: 14 The Kinks - Till The End Of The Day (peaked at #8) sfytJmhsWDQ
  19. 8th December Random Year: 1956 Random Position: 3 Malcolm Vaughan - St Therese Of The Roses (peaked at #3) 7EHvEOWNv9o
  20. 7th December Random Year: 1998 Random Position: 48 Shania Twain - From This Moment On (peaked at #9) a-Lp2uC_1lg I would have been listening to chart-based radio basically every night in the late 90s, but I don't remember this Shania single at all.
  21. https://www.ukmix.org/forum/chart-discussio...k-charts-thread This ukmix thread has 76-100 positions for a good chunk of the missing period, including the xmas weeks of 1992 and 1993, but I don't think it has xmas week 1991 (I haven't checked every last post on every last page of the thread).
  22. 6th December Random Year: 1994 Random Position: 49 Red Dragon with Brian and Tony - Compliments On Your Kiss (peaked at #2, only held off the top spot by Wet Wet Wet - Love Is All Around) x51BwqDAsvk Another slice of 90s nostalgia...
  23. 5th December Random Year: 1998 Random Position: 26 Savage Garden - I Want You '98 (peaked at #11 in 1997 and #12 with the 1998 re-release) HQt6jIKNwgU My goodness, this is pure nostalgia for me. I think it's the chic-a-cherry cola in particular... I assume that the 98 version was a rerelease of the same recording, rather than anything substantially different.

This thread has got me wondering how many acts or artist have, at some point in their single's career, with any release, occupied every position in the Top 100. I believe that Elvis has now had singles that at some point have, between them, occupied every position, but I think even he had to wait until xmas 2020 for Blue Christmas to happen to occupy the #79 position for him to achieve it, despite having well over a thousand weeks in the chart over all.

Sorry, I knew most of my reply was a bit rambly, as I acknowleged, but I think the thread prior to my reply had established the concept being discussed in the thread by that point. Sorry for confusing you though.
