Sounds like a wonderful day Pam. I've never been to York. How come you saw your Granny's kitchen and your parents front room in the museum?

  4. I've enjoyed "Who do you think You are". I cried at the Jerry Springerone.

I agree that it would be good if we had more notice of what Darius was doing but we were talking about gigs etc we could have gone to in the past but didn't and now regret.

I wish I'd gone to more Dive In concerts as well. Not that I had any money back then nor the same freedom that I have now because the kids were younger.

Spybot works fine with AVG. it doesn't stop the computer remembering passwords. I use firefox and rarely explorer. I saw that on the Restaurant. Her Hall will have a formal dinner like that as well. She will have to wear her gown.

It will be interesting to see how both single and album fare. It's a fickle business.

No panic, just anxiety and a load of money flowing from my bank account. We're having a farewell party for Claire on Tuesday late afternoon, ikea shopping Wednesday then she's off to Bath to see her boyfriend on Thursday, back Friday and Cambridge on Saturday.

I get quite a few of those sort of emails supposedly from banks. Often it's a scam to get hold of your credit card or bank details so beware never to give that information unless you are sure it's genuine.
  18. I would never have Norton and hate that they automatically give you trials when you buy a new PC. I never install it. At the moment I use AVG which is free and zone alarm for my firewall. I have heard that zone alarm anti-virus is good and at work we have Kaspersky.
  19. Now why would they check? That would be the sensible thing to do.

Sometimes I'm glad I don't have a garden to worry about.

Good that his predicted grades are distinctions. Sorry he's not had any joy finding out his timetable. It seems absurd. Hope his complaint gets somewhere.
  22. Oh no Meg. How inconvenient. Can't believe no one warned you.

Sometimes a good old moan can make you feel better. I don't like Autumn or Winter and we didn't have much of a Summer.
  24. Good luck with it Meg
  25. Nah, I didn't cry when Claire started school. Actually I didn't take her on her first day, much to the concern of her teacher. I was booked in for some procedure at the hospital (can't remember now what I was having done). Mind you she'd been to nursery full-time for a year so it wasn't such a wrench.
