It is quite clear in the posts before mind that people do not think working on the American market would not be a good idea at this time (ie. they are against the idea). I then gave my opinion, that if they have good material cracking American could happen now. It did not take the Spice Girls months upon months of promo for Wannabe to become a US hit. Hopefully that makes my post clearer and you no longer feel unsure :unsure:. Either way it is just a fans opinion so it cannot be wrong. There is definately a strong case for concentrating on the UK but if things started happening in the US (initially behind the scenes) it would be a pity to let the chance go to waste.

I don't know why you are against the idea. The Spice Girls didn't wait at all to release in America. They got stuck in there straight away while they had momentum and drive and ambition and good material. If The Saturdays have been getting good record company feedback from the US on their album I don't see why they should not try it for a few months and see if things are building or not. Also if they did have a hit in the US it would give them a something unique among UK girl bands at the moment and it could give them a more international sucessful image.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! Two of the guys in The Script were in this boyband called MyTown: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BG3SUHO2_Tc That is a good video and the song went top20 in Ireland and I think got to No.22 in the UK. Can't believe its them. They have now lost a lot of credibility for me!

I thought it was Laura Izibor, not Lauren! Oh well I think shes great. Hope she has a really sucessful album in '09. I love her song 'Sunshine'. Don't know why they should confine her chances of sucess to Ireland and UK!

Yeah Sorry is a great track, really like it. And The Saturdays accoutsic performances have been really good and it shows the girls are more versatile that just pop music. This is a bit off topic but has anyone noticed that in interviews Una and Frankie never really seem to get on well :angry: Maybe I'm just creating this idea in my mind but I did get that impression that they aren't the best of friends!

I think they should try to have sucess in Europe first. I think they could do well in Germany, Sweden and some other countries. I actually thought Can't Speak French was going to be a big hit in France :unsure: It would be very hard for them to crack the US if they have a UK single in January, UK tour next year and Cheryl doing another series of the X Factor (and recording another album?).

I think that the X Factor has now proved itself in finding relevant, credible, talented (pop) artists. Any show that finds us Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke (and to a lesser extent Shayne Ward, Rhydian, Maria Lawson, JLS, Ruth Lorenzo) is a good thing in my opinion.

Why is Dido expected to automatically have a huge album. Shes the female version of James Blunt ie. dull and boring. I'll have no interest in her album. I think McLaren just signed Kovalainen again because he is quick enough to get points but not quick enough to be a threat to Hamilton (like Alonso was!). Renault did well today. Do they have to have a 3 week break. I'll miss my F1 fix. At least when it does return at the end of the month it will be with a brand new race in a brand new track.

Hi guys. This is my first post in this thread. Basically I love swimming and go swimming about 4 times a week (not as much as most of you I know). However I really want to ramp up my swimming not that I have built up a basic level of fitness. I would love to focus on it and enter some (small) competitions and get some times under my belt. I just want to do a swimming race it see what its like. I swim in a 50m pool usually. Anyone have any advice for me? Thank you in advance.

OMG thats exactly what I thought! I was only watching to see what Piquet would say after his first ever podium and they cut after talking to Hamilton for 5 minutes. SO ANNOYING. The interesting thing to any F1 fan would be to hear what someone had to say on their best EVER finish not some t*** in a cheating team winning his 'best ever victory' again. ITV has c**p coverage of F1 its so biased. PhillyWilly, you are a Renault fan then?

I agree with Tims earlier post. Imagine Hamilton blamed the British public and media for making him leave the country when actually the real reason was becuase he wanted tax free income. I HATE him. Also he has been managed, funded, coached and prepared for this for years by the McLaren team. He did not come from nowhere to be this good. He has more surrport than anyone else. Also why are people up for a cheating team who were disqualified only last year? Since then I cannont believe one word that comes out of Ron Dennis mouth. Also last week Hamilton says Nadal has inspired him to win the Championship. What exactly has Lewis got to do with tennis. He is just trying to associate himself with other sports people to bring himself into the same category. Hes has nothing got to do with Nadal. While I am on a moan I should also say that I HATE the ITV coverage of F1. Its like the Lewis Hamilton show. Do they not realise that there are thousands of people in the UK connected, working for, fans of the other teams. Not everyone wants Lewis to win all the time. The sooner it moves to BBC the better. On a more positive note I would love Kimi, Massa, Alonso, Button, Kubica and others to do well for the remainder of the season.

I can't stand Rex anymore talking about what he owns and how sucessful he is. Nobody cares. There are far more intelligent, interesting and sucessful people out there who remain humble and grounded. Anyone can be sucessful with the help of 'Daddys' money. He should get a life. Please vote him out at the next available opportunity.

I actually really like this song and think his 'Trust Me' album is very good aswell. I think if they time the download and physical releases close together I think it could go Top40. Would be very happy if this got his album back into the Top75 aswell.

This song isn't that bad. I really like it actually. And his album is definately worth a listen IMO. Hope he gets to release a 3rd single from it. This isn't doing good in the midweeks so someone please buy it!
