JDL's Top 40 Tunes Of The Week (week beginning: 10/08) Things are pretty static in JDL's chart this week as we only welcome one new entry into the top 10. Maroon 5's "Wake Up Call", quality wise is light-years ahead of the bland "Makes Me Wonder" which was the 1st release off their new album earlier this year. "Makes Me Wonder" peaked at #33, so this is much better news for the band who have in the past sporned classics such as "This Love" and "She Will Be Loved". We've got no change up at the top spot this week as Robyn & Kleerup's electro-pop anthem "With Every Heartbeat" remains at #1 for a 2nd week running. Below it we have Kate Nash, who climbs once AGAIN with one of the best tunes of 2007, "Foundations" - 12 weeks on & it's still top 5. Quite an achievement for somebody who we hadn't heard of a few weeks back. Dance Diva's Booty Luv are on the climb - "Don't Mess With My Man" climbs 3 to #03, making it their biggest ever hit. Well done, ladies! You deserve the success you're both currently achieving. Outside the top 10, we have an un-expected return from Mr. Trousersnake himself, Justin Timberlake! "LoveStoned" debuted in the chart 8 weeks back at a poor #32 - it peaked at #19 before falling out of the chart 2 weeks later. Could Justin continue the un-expected climb next week and get his 3rd top 10 hit (His other two being "SexyBack" and the classic "My Love") from his latest album? Check back next week and find out! The last new entry within the top 20 this week come from Pop Princesses Girls Aloud. "Sexy! No No No" is a return to form for the Girls, who we haven't heard much of recently. Not quite up to the standard of classics such as "Jump (For My Love)" and "No Good Advice", but this is still a solid effort from the most successful pop band to come out of Reality Television. Other re entries and new entries this week come from Mutya Buena.
