I never recieve any board notifications any more about new or latest discussions etc: Don't know which forum to sign in to for Darius news /discussion,which was my only purpose in joining all these years ago! And if I click onext Artist ,I am stuck with some woman Ninja or something.I can't get it off and am wondering if any of my efforts which failed to remove the female artiste, has inadvertently removed me from Darius updates.I don't choose to have a computer,so entirely rely on my smartphone to use Internet and access buzzjack. Somehow I don't feel I will ever get it sorted, and Baytree did try to help, and i thought I was getting there- but turned out worse than I thought,so my capabilities must be even more limited than even I imagined. Pity,as I had been a member for so long, and thanks to the others I was able to keep up to date and attend performances of Darius, which I otherwise would not have known about.By the way,I did see Sheridan Smith on t.v.,by chance, but I think her strengths lie in comedic acting.

I don't get the usual e-mail notification of new topics as I did in the past, before this move.Spam Fritter has tried to help me via personal reply, but nothing I do on my phone works! . Perhaps there has not been a reason for me to recieve e-mail notifications. I just in my limited knowledge , cannot figure it out. I have made sure the box 'track this topic'is ticked and 'enable e-mail notificaction. Just don't know what more to do on my phone. Any ideas?. Thanks.

Interesting.. Though flowers are not my thing,I can admire a beautiful garden though. If I had to choose a flower,it would be a wild rose, or sweet peas. Love a beautiful tree though. As the song goes "only God can make a tree." Such a lovely relaxing thing -a tree. Colours-I like hues mostly and favourite is olive and lemon, which is such a lovely contrast. Black , brown an burnt orange are up there too. Favourite music- classical (chopin) but like all genres . Used to like Simon &Garfunkel and Donovan, but there are many others, dependent on the song. Only thing I am not so keen on is modern jazz- yet I love dixieland land style and trad:. Sometimes it's the singer, and sometimes it's the song!
  4. Thanks Pam-am just 'lost' and need a simple way to get tout right place. Is it Retro Lounge or pop or what. Before I just had to sign in and click'artistes'which took me to Darius forum,or I would respond to e-mail sent by you or other member. Why can it not be that simple, even in another forum ?! About unwanted female artiste-I had already moved this to spam and blocked sender.Hope I did right thing and didn't make things worse for myself. No doubt by now you will be tearing your hair out at my stupidity, and I am sorry for giving you so much trouble. When I have time I will access that females page, and try to follow your latest instructions, but I now don't seem to be gething any more e-mails after I blocked sender. Come to think of it ,I think the only e-mails recently have been your replies to me.Thank's Pam for doing your best for me,and I will try not to give up.

Could you please send me an e-mail with up to date link to the new Darius forum. All I can get is that infernal female artiste coming up and I have tried to unsubscribe to her without success. I need a simple way to access new Darius forum. Soon confusing and complicated and I am not tech:savvy. Thank you.

I can't stop all these e-mails from the Nickie lasaj forum. Please help me Pam. I have tried everything-but nothing stops them. I have ended up putting them into Spam and blocking. How the lead to Darius produced her,I don't know. Nothing works to stop and e-mail I sent to moderator just came back saying "already exists " Do not know what that means and cant find any other tools to help on my smartphone. .. . ...
  9. Oh Dear me-I can understand the frustration of Baytree's remarks Polly's too. Baytree-you Sam Fritter and Polly, Megham etc:is essential in my opinion to ensure whatever alternative work in some way-so for my sake too,I hope your won't throw in the towel. You all provide good and credible news and info : about Darius,so I sincerely hope you won't dessert whatever is offered in the interim, until you come up with a more suitable site.I have been a member since earliest days, and yes it was great when we had other site- but we have what we have ,and I have always been grateful to you all for providing me with news, TV appearances ,upcoming shows-everything! So am really hoping you don't leave for my sake too. I think by now you must realise that I cannot be instrumental in setting up anything! It's an age thing, just not technically savvy, but I have managed all these years to manage somehow, and you all gave me assistance when neccessary. Yes,so much of the terminology is 'lost on me',but I manage to interact in a more basic level, but without your info: I would have missed going to many appearances of Darius, and most recently Spam Fritter has been extremedy helpful to me. Baytree too. Darius does not give up.I do not give up-so I hope all of you won't either.
  10. I don't know how to 'pin or link anything.too much for me to contemplate/undertake just now-but I have carried out Spam Fritters instructions and clicked on retro and saved to shortcuts. Enough for today but will surely get there eventually with time and help.many thanks again.,
  11. Thanks very muchappy. I will attempt to save it now
  12. Well whenever you move e-mail me with help/instruction if you can please. Just looking at your posts on here is already like a 'foreign language to me' and I would need help in how to sign in and how to navigate . Thank you all in anticipatron...

Hi Spam Fritter-I lost my reply.I will reply tomorrow Mean time, would you keep in touch with me about the move and please teach me how to access and use the Retro forum (Baby talk preferred! ) In my head tonight,I can't get that song 'No More' out of my head. I loved it and wish he could have found a waye to get it out . Yes I thought Badear Bing was great too, when I went to b.b. show, and the other new song would have been a great addition to a bond film. Thatmust have been exciting for you, back then, to be one of the 'promo' team.Wonder if you were present on the video shown of you all round a large table with Darius at top?! Let's hope we still get all the news on this other format and keep each other informed of any t.v. appearances and news. Meantime, all I can think to say to the 'high heid yins'of this forum is "Farewell" "Partington is such sweet sorrow".

Thanks Spam fritter. Perhaps I over-reacted,with all the quizzing from people I didn't know-one was the person who corrected me in my pronunciation of his/her name, saying it was Hiss, german. That was OK, Butility then after me supplying all the relevant answers, there was no response, except about that daft poplar tree, and other , I would say, inappropriate references to do with Darius, which was a bit weird and distasteful I think the other one was Sam,butility not sure, but at least that was all just a bit of a bit of an inquisition. Then I had another weird e- mail from that "just let's barge in " Misty or something, and suddenly I just began to feel it was turning into a different type of forum-not for the better, and not one that I can imagine Darius endorsing! Anaway, thanks for your thread and navigating tips. Will try my best, and won't stop posting, but will just not be responding to certain people. Hope you understand.

Hi POlly. Thanks for info:. I wondered why I sometimes only see certain posts! But that's my inability to properly access . I am hopeless at knowing how to view this thread or that, and hope for the best when I log in. The only thing that contracts that is when I achess this forum in a response to an e-mail.So thank's for sending me link.

Hi Baytree, is the tour over now?

Nice to read all these reviews and to know how well recieved Darius was.Not an easy role for Darius to develop, given the historical limits placed on him and Omar Sheriff, but Darius did more with it than expected and has such good comedic expressions,it gives far more to Nick than was portrayed by Omar. Just a pity Darias did not get to use his singing so much,as he is so talented in that field, but yes,I appreciate it was 'all about Fanny',but didn't stop me from feeling 'starved'a bit ,not being able to sing more.
  20. Yes Baytree. I agree hair needs a change now and then. He's got such a good head of hair!- even a compromise would do,letting a bit fall over the forehead,or something. Just a tad too neat and severe at the moment-although if anyone can carry the present look,Darius can! Talking about my previous reply about unflattering photos- no,I didn't specifically mean photos that fans have taken. That I can understand- I think the ones I thought were not good, were the 'Getty Images ' ones, which I would have thought should be good, and they were not. .
  21. That was a good choice of photo from Megham. Nice too,to see the hair less severe as it has been in more recent times. I also among others elsewhere, liked the one in his book, -'serious look with eyelids closed 'looking 'downwards'. One of the best ever was when he was being interviewed on chat show (s.t.v.) and wearing his surgical collar, and tasting wines for show. Bestablished ever true likeness, and he looked stunningly beautiful! Amazing too on the interview for G.W.T.W. where the female journalist went down to London to do that interview ,which she was so excited about doing. He looked amazing in all the close up camera shots.Having said all that, strangely enough,I don't think Darius is particularly photogenic a lot of the time-either that,or its bad photography. Either way,so many of his photos do not do him justice. Good one from Megham, though.

Such a goodles post Baytreek. Brings back nostalgic memories. I remember when it was played on radio, and the d.j. said he loved it and said "thato a no:1"! I seem to recall it was no: 5 -still good though.I must admit it took a short time to grow on me,but it was a good record. Yes,and the story of the girl on the bus crush-I remember him saying "She wasn't the best looking girl in school" "But there was something about her" Funnily enough,I remember a girl at my school like that- about a year older than me.A lot of the boys were attracted to her,and from us girls point of view she was no beauty- but yes she had that something in the way her hair was done, her mannerisms, her walk and her manner that made you want to emulate to a degree. Just that cool casual confident well groomed look. So ,quirky can be as attractive as beauty..

Hi Baytree, it wasnot you who 'spooked' me . You took a very cautiour approach, and I thought that for now yout had decided against the twitter part. It was the pressure of others who I am not familiar with.It seems that no matter how many posts were achieved in last week, that there was an agenda by relative strangers to induce us down this path, and if they were genuine 'fans' they would leave it to all the long time supporters of Darius,to discuss, vote, and decide at their leisure! Why all the rush? That sort of thing makes me very wary, and uncomfortably maniplated. FOR instance "what are Megham and Polly 's thoughts on this,I wonder...

Thanks Mark for letting me know. Just goes to show that "if you don't ask you don't get"! OR as I have heard Darius saying "for every action there is a reaction!. So onwards and upwards in life's game of numbers!

Hi Baytree . A record of what? Are you and Polly talking about 'Funny Girl' or Darius making a recording of his own??
