  1. I do like it, album covers don't really change my opinion if I buy an album or not - although there have been many cases which I have liked the look of and bought it. Anyway, regardless of that I will still buy it. It's in my list 'to buy' :D (Along with Britney, Kylie & Hairspray DVD) :P

As much as I like "2 Hearts", "Left Outside Alone" was one of the best songs of 2004, no question :D

:o "Back Down" and "Undignified" are the most underrated songs on that album, I love them so much :( esp Undignified, it's reminds me of my situation at the mo with this d*ckh*ad of a guy  I'm gonna try to buy some tickets for the portsmouth dates :cheer:

I hope they try "Betcha By Golly, Wow!" on some dates, even if it's like part of a medley. Love to see Heidi sing that live :D
  5. As much as I love "Back Down", I do not see it as a single. "Back When" would be a really nice single, however it needs to be backed by another song (like "My Love Is Pink" or "Never Gonna Dance Again").
  6. Beautiful Video :D LOVE IT. Makes me love the song more :D It's like I'll Stand By You/Whole Lotta History combined with Purple Clothes :P The white flags on the beach seems a really nice contrast with the harsh spikes from S!NNN (me thinks I could be reading too much into it ) Nicola steals the show once again the video, her middle 8 to chorus was wonderfully done (imo). The group shots were stunning :D I'm guessing they used a different edit to the one that leaked as it ends with Sarah's line in the chorus, which was missed off at the end of the fade in the edit that was leaked. Is 3min 50secs a bit long for a Radio Edit?
  7. :o freaky! at your "Happy song" being Shape!

  12. I see they've used Windows Movie Maker to make this video :P AWFUL, completely ruined the song! :(
  13. Between "Freak Like Me" and "Hole In the Head" :D
  14. Better than S!NNN, but it's not exactly matching up to their previous 2nd Singles like "Biology" & "Love Machine" (although not many of their songs could match them imo :P) It kinda reminds me of "Singapore" and the Sugababes "Never Gonna Dance Again" mixed and mashed. The verses are a bit bland but the rest is really nice, love nicola's middle 8!
  15. Is it me or has "Change" been deleted from iTunes (UK) as I can't access it

Is it me or is "Denial" different on the album than on the sampler?? - cos it's FAR more superior now!! 3rd Single between: "Never Gonna Dance Again" or "Surprise" (it's simple, hard beats, catchy) or "My Love Is Pink" (could produce some excellent club mixes) 4th Single between: "Back Down" (seems really good for summer) or "Denial" (a great mid-tempo summer tune) or "Mended By You" (if they're going down the route of ballads as the fourth single). I love My Love is Pink, 3 Spoons of Suga, Back Down (I dont understand the negativity towards it...), Surprise, Denial & Back When Mended By You almost made me  & Open the Door/Undignified seems to be growers! I'm still waiting for a better 'Single Mix' for Never Gonna Dance Again, I know the last chorus at least can do with some oopfh! Overall a brilliant album - it's all about Amelle!: 9/10 Also, I know they've said that 'Novel' produced "Denial" and Xenomania produced 'Undignified' but looking at the writing credits it says someone called "Flex Turner" produced both these tracks... Plus "Goodbye" didn't disappear but was simply renamed to "Surprise" (which makes sense cos it was Goodbye was reviewed when the 5-track was out, and Surprise was the one that featured :D). I also found a mis-print in the lyrics of Denial: "Know complicated barriers to hold us bang"

I've only heard the 5 Track Promo [in LQ though] (will wait for the rest next week  ) My brief review: 1. About You Now - A fantastic way (and to me, it was the most logical way) to begin the album project after listening to the 5 track. The pulsating beats that instanly get you to toe-tap along. I love the lyrics and how they seem so upsetting, yet it isn't in a ballad-format. A well deserved Number 1 :D [8/10] 2. Never Gonna Dance Again - I wasn't so sure of this on first listen after everyone has been raving about it. Now after listening to it over again I realise how good it is. I love how Amelle seems to have the leading verse in most songs which is great! On first listen: The chorus was a tad weak & to be honest Keisha's part kinda washed over me... doesn't really stick. I could see why they may have felt uneasy of keeping it in TIMWs. However since appreciating the song: I just love Heidi's middle 8, it's prefect! I love the lyrics! Overall one of their best! [8/10] 3. Denial - I have got to admit I was pretty disappointing with the studio version. I absolutley adore the live version but the recorded version doesn't do it any justice. I wish they kept Heidi on some sort of lead. However, saying that I love the bridge, chorus and Amelle's verse so it was alright I suppose. Also the noise at the start is a little weird... [7/10] 4. Surprise - This is my most favourite tracks, lyrically it doesn't seem as superior and interesting as Denial, NGDA and Change; but the hard beats really add excitement to the song. To me it reminds me of similar backing beats and composure as Utada Hikaru's "Sancutary/Passion" and similar tracks - I dunno why but it just reminds me of that song. But overall it's one of my favourites from the 5-track. [8.5/10] 5. Change - I was impressed by the live version and the studio version doesn't let it down! Beautifully written and sung. Amelle's parts really make is emotional especially the second bridge. The chorus is really nice too. It's a perfect Winter song, glad it's being released. I do hope they come up with a better video concept than AYN. [8/10] Overall... The 5-Track is impressive, in all honesty (given that I've given them such high /10 ratings) they are brilliant and the project seems like it's gonna be a good one - although my only nag is that there haven't been any completely 10/10 definate tracks, yet... I do love how Amelle is given/has written the best parts of the tracks which, really shows that she has given her all in this project & this album is gonna truly show that Amelle is capable of keeping the Sugababes' on top! (Although, I knew that all along since Red Dress :P)
  20. Amelle makes About You Now for me :D Number 2 is fantastic! And with only downloads! Cannot wait to get the CDs next week!

I found "A Public Affair" to be a complete mess in terms of direction. You could definatley distinguish between the "A Public Affair" tracks and the "And the Band Played On" tracks which seemed to have been simply tacked in, hoping they would get lost in the mix of it all. "Push Your Tush" and "Swing With Me" are probably my favourites out of the album (which you could definatley tell were from "And the band...") and if I had known that this was the general direction she went with the project I would've definately sought out to buy it. Anyone know why she rejected the plans for the album and went for the straight pop thing? I thought she could've continued her success from "These Boots..." with one of the ATBPO tracks, but alas she went for "A Public Affair", which was a great track in it's own right.

O DEAR... strangely addictive. I wanna hear more :(
  24. Aww "Hot" is one of my favourites out of the album :D along with "Innocence", "Runaway", "Girlfriend" and "The Best Damn Thing". She does look really different in the cover :S But it's nice. Hope it does OK anyway :)
  25. I think the album is fab! :cheer: At first some of the 'dance' tracks did seemed a bit forced like "He's a Winner" but after a few more listens I really began to like the album as a package. My fave tracks are probably "Where You Are", "Shine", "Don't Mess With My Mind", "Some Kinda Rush", "A Little Bit", "Dance Dance" & of course the title track. The remixes were a nice bonus too. It's not bad for £8 at Virgin, I remembered my bloody Woolworths had closed down when I thought about where I was getting it from :(. Ah well. Money well spent me thinks :)
