Enjoyed the show, but agree with the set being too long for all to see. I thought D was a tiny bit nervous on the first song, but settled in and did very well. I couldn't understanmd hardly any of the female arias etc! so struggled to follow what was going on. IMO GWTW was much better, such a shame it didn't get a fair chance :( Fantastic to say hello to some guys, thanks to Meg and sorry I had to shoot off. Talk more when I get home, paying by the minute here at hotel :)

Not unless you used a time machine Polly, it says Thursday, so you can check him out tonight :)

We're staying overnight near the London Eye, but not sure we'll be able to meet up with anyone this time as we'll have to shoot off after the show and make sure Mum and Dad get their London Eye Flight this time. When I brought them down in January, I failed to check properly, and it was closed for routine maintenance  My main reason for bringing them down was to go on the London Eye(Mum mentioned she really wanted to go on it even though she's frightened of heights). It cost me a blummin' fortune and we couldn't go on, but at least I took them to see Darius' dress rehearsal, for the first show of PSTOS, which they both thoroughly enjoyed. They thought he was wonderful too :) Maybe there's a possiblility of meeting up inside the arena during an interval, what do you reckon?

I haven't read a full book, but have seen the odd page enough to know what Bramley is saying(thanks Bramley). Not my cup of tea, but Mum enjoys them, so should be good for her at least. Half price now, typical! I bought Mum and Dad top price tickets with that £10 off offer a few days ago  Oh well, money's overated anyway, isn't it  I've never had enough of it to know really

I can't decide whether or not to find out what this opera is about. On one hand, I would like to know what is going on, but on the other, I hate knowing what happens in a film before I have seen it(never seen an opera before). With Chicago and Guys And Dolls, I didn't bother to find out in advance, and I enjoyed both of them. With Gone With The Wind, I got the DVD, so had a reasonable idea what was going to happen, and still enjoyed it. Decisions, decisions

Thanks Bramley! It's certainly the type of event he might appear at, but in some ways, I hope he doesn't attend. I just wish he could get out there on his own and do his thing, to build up a larger, loyal fan base than he currently has. I'd also like him to steer away from the classical/opera direction and get back to making/recording/performing his own music. 26/27/28 August 2010 Serenata Festival - unconfirmed 07/10/2010 The Night Under The Stars 2010 - unconfirmed

Hope you've enjoyed your evening Sue :) Sad news about Bernie :( I hope she comes through it ok.

Thanks for the info ladies :) Unfortunately, it seems all the tickets are for upper tier, and Mum is more frightened of heights than I am, so don't think it's going to work :( I'll keep checking though.

Does anyone know the promotiuon code for this offer please? Mum and Dad wouldn't allow me to buy them a full price ticket, but I'm pretty sure they would enjoy the show and if they did attend, they'd not feel bad about the price of ticket in this offer.

I agree with all Meg says above and don't forget you'll get to see me again, which surely is worth attending on it's own Sue :D

I don't know much about opera, but I believe it is the lead, so he should be around quite a bit Sue :)

OK hotel and tickets booked, anyone fancy a meet up :) From what I've seen, cameras aren't allowed, so I won't bother taking my Canon. Does anyone know if, like at the Sheffield arena, they will allow compact cameras in, or is it likely to be strictly no photography there?

Which ticket site is that from please Julie?

Hi Sue! The London Docklands Travelodge is 7.3 miles from Euston and 3.3 miles from the O2 Arena. It has rooms available from £29(no changes or cancellation) or £45.70 for their flexible rate, which can be cancelled upto 12pm on the day of arrival. Travelodges aren't amazing quality, but the rooms are clean and functional, and good value at the saver rate. I would guess a taxi from Euston to the hotel would be around £20ish each way, though it could be a little more. I would imagine from hotel to the O2 would be around £10ish, but once again, it could be a little more. There may be hotels closer, but I would imagine the cost would be more than the Travelodge. Hope this is of some use. Hope to see you there :)

I cannot believe I'm thinking of attending an opera :o Having said that though, if someone had told me a few years back I would spend well in excess of £1000 on theatre tickets, I'd have laughed at them. OK, so who's going?

This one's 593 miles away for me, so as much as I'd love to see D, I don't think I'll be attending. Thanks for the info though BT :) 18/04/2010 People's Postcode Lottery Event Thurso - unconfirmed Link 07/10/2010 The Night Under The Stars 2010 - unconfirmed

So that's a northern gig 30th May-10th June. Hang on, I hope this exciting news isn't the Ayr show we already know about  If and when we get a tour, I'll do my best to make it extremely hard for him to avoid me

I just hope the upcoming performance isn't an event that has passed weeks previously  Likely date for this is between 30th of May and the 10th of June, as I'm away on holiday

I'm not interested in anyone on the 3rd other than Will. I would love to hear him sing live, but the ticket's seem really expensive IMO. Similarly with the 4th I'm only really interested to see D, and as he's not headlining it seems like a lot of money to see him play just part of the show. Hopefully we'll get lots of chances to see him on his own before and after this show, fingers crossed :) Is anyone thinking of attending this?
