Crikey Spam, glad I flicked back a page to fully understand your post  :D

I don't mind him in things, but I won't be watching this show unless D appears on it :) 03/04/2010 Royal Albert Halll - Classical Response concert - unconfirmed 07/10/2010 The Night Under The Stars 2010 - unconfirmed

I thought I would start a thread where we can post possible events, gigs and PA's that D might attend. Once they are officially confirmed we can then perhaps start a new thread to discuss and report each event. I'll kick this off with some personal speculation. Please know, this is only a hunch from me, as I have no information at all that Darius will be attending, just my own guess work at the moment. The N.U.T.S. 2010 event is happening on Thursday 7th of October at London's Royal Festival Hall. It's billed as an evening of operatic hits by Mozart, Bizet, Rossini, Puccini and many others. The information I have received from the Passage Charity says one of the numbers to be played on the night is Bizet's Toreador Song(Carmen) and as D has already performed this aria and has also supported this particular charity in the past, I thought it was worth posting here, just in case. :) 07/10/2010 The Night Under The Stars 2010 - unconfirmed

For any fans that were disappointed at not meeting me, I am available for bookings and functions, and have been known to attend the opening of a crisp packet, so pm me for my rates :D Thanks Rachel :) It's good to know we should hear about gigs in the future. Maybe there could be some way of listing possible gigs/appearances so people in and around those areas are aware, just in case D does attend. We could start a new thread once something is officially confirmed.

Thanks for the info ladies :) I think it's almost certain that Darius will attend this and he'll probably be very busy gigging and PA'ing for the next 13 days after it too, as I am almost certainly going abroad on the 30th for 2 weeks. Typical! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I think Darius wanted to win this more than any of the others and perhaps the panel didn't like this. Whatever, he was certainly disadvantaged throughout, with comments/song choice etc! Up until the final itself IMO.

Sorry for being a bozo as usual, but what's happening on the 30th of May?

Your response makes me even more surprised by your original 5.49pm post poppy, but thank you for the candour of it. As Meg has already said, you are most welcome posting here, as is any Darius fan, and you're equally entitled to your own stance and opinion on things. If you read the same article as me, I feel that the "sold out shows" being referred to where actually performances to follow in the next few days, rather than being for the re-launch itself, and this was part of why I quizzed you, because it took me 15 minutes of faffing around just to find out the actual date of the event  Maybe we'll get some definate news in the next few weeks that will please us all and settle some of our concerns about D's future. I'm certainly keeping my fingers crossed for that :)

I appreciate the clarification poppy, but would still like some answers to my questions, as your post seems to suggest you have better knowledge and insight of D's management and likelyhood of success, than any of us seem to, not to mention ticket information about a gig most of us knew nothing about until it had already been completed! Can you let us know where you derived your information from please?

Well I bloody well don't PIP! This "minority" as you call it is entitled to have and express their opinions, just as you have in the above post regarding their actions Who are you and how do you know Darius is working his socks off? How many seconds does it take to generate a 140 character(or less) Twitter comment, which could inform people who care and are interested in Darius, as to possible opportunities to support, meet, chat, photograph and enjoy any performance he may be part of? If I can make a 400 mile round journey to see Darius for less than an hour, I don't feel it's too much to have him spend a few seconds, keeping me and the thousands of others interested, up to date on when and where he will be making a public appearance! Once again, how do you know these things, and who are you to tell anyone how they should be acting? I await your answers with interest poppy!

Exactly BT! I'm about 30 miles away, and was completely free to attend last night :( I just don't understand, when D is appearing at a public event, why he or his people can't let people know in advance! It's so annoying  but worse than that, it's just so disappointing, knowing I could have gone, photographed and reported details back here, with pics to accompany the report :( I just wonder how many more times this type of opportunity I will miss :(

Some of us do but I understand your concern

Fantastic thanks Meg! Although I like Colourblind, it was never a favourite of mine, even though it was so successful for D, but accoustically it's superb :)

I think if Impossible Dream was to appear on his new album, he should have Rolando dueting as a guest, as it was very impressive on the show. I certainly hope it's not mainly opera! As good as D does it, I'd be very disappointed if it were :(

Some bees die once they have stung, so they're less likely to sting than a wasp. Wasps seem to sting at randon, rather than only as a last resort. Lyn and I attempted to watch Mamma Mia. We both like the music of ABBA but neither of us are very keen on musicals. and half way through the very first song, we couldn't bear to watch any more  My main reason for watching was because I wanted to see Pierce Brosnan's attempt at singing, as it was supposed to be pretty duff. Was his singing as bad as they said?

Not really my sort of scene the Sugarbabes, and I'm a little surprised they seem to be D's :???: I can't imagine him being forced to say good things about another group under the same umbrella (so to speak) so maybe he is enjoying their new music. I would hate to think, that after all this time of being his own man, making and sticking to his own decisions, that he would now allow himself to be dictated to, as many other artists seem to be. I can't believe that will be the case though.

FC it would have been lovely to meet you the other day. Please do say hello if you see me at another D gig. I'll be the fattest bloke there, with the biggest, daftest grin on his face :)

I love hearing D sing his own songs, and some have been very good, but I don't feel we've seen the very best of his writing skills so far. There are people out there who regularly write hit and number one records, released by varying artists, and I would like to see Darius gain more commercial success than he currently has, even if it meant sacrificing one or two songs from an album for someone else's material(just for now).

Not quite as special as the duet with Rolando, but still wonderful to see and brings back memories of being there. Wonderful, thanks Meg :) It played perfectly for me too :)
  23. Wonderful vid Meg Sound quality is excellent too, just love that deep rich voice, and the choir were great too, nice harmonies. Great to see, thanks Meg :)

Last batch :( until the next time :) I forgot to mention, I had plans to chat with D, congratulate him on his PSTOS win etc! Unfortunately, because it's been a while and it was all a bit of a rush, I got a bit starstruck, and all I could bleat out was "really well done" on both occasions I spoke with him  I did get a nice handshake and a little cuddle too though :) This was one of the nurses. She had worked a night shift and after a couple of hours sleep, attended this event. She read a statement out before D's arrival, detailing the charity's role and her duties. I got the feeling, like many ladies, that she would be swept off her feet when meeting Darius :D http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b252/PaulHardy/18.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b252/PaulHardy/13-1.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b252/PaulHardy/17-1.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b252/PaulHardy/14-1.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b252/PaulHardy/15.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b252/PaulHardy/16.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b252/PaulHardy/19.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b252/PaulHardy/22.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b252/PaulHardy/21.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b252/PaulHardy/20.jpg
  25. I've downloaded it now too, though it took me ages to find the code as I was looking for a number  I don't see why we shouldn't post the code here, so anyone not able to get the paper can still support the cause with a download or cd purchase. Once you've registered with the Daily Mail, you can click to download the cd and where it asks for the code simply type the word prayer :)
