That producer chap(I think) from GWTW said he couldn't understand why people didn't think D was the nicest man on the planet too I believe. Even though we only see snippets of D at a time, you can't fake how nice he is, not so consistently anyway. He's a great guy and I'm proud to call myself a fan :) As I have said before, I wish I was 10% as nice and talented as D is, and don't even dare post a percentage on good looks

Darius wins ITV's Pop Star to Opera Star 2
So for the final they are singing one solo aria and one duet with a mentor. IMO, if they wanted to make it a fair comparison, they should choose duets that both contestants can sing, Bernie playing KJ's role and D playing Rolandos. This would give a good comparison(although not exact as the contestants are male/female) and would be a fairer way to compare the skills of the finalists. I know this won't happen, but it was a thought. Mr Villazon has been a little critical of D in several areas. Many were contstructive comments, but a few have been to D's detriment. After this show finishes, I think it would be interesting to see how Mr V could perform a bass baritone aria, as compared to D. As good as Mr V is, I think our man would come out on top! It might be quite interesting to see how he perfomed a pop song on stage in front of a live audience too. Take him out of his comfort zone and see what he can produce, with just a few weeks of preparation! I know this won't happen, but it was a thought. Regarding the betting, I was very tempted to bet on D as the winner, especially with the odds being so high, but the thought of losing money as well as D not actually winning has put me off. If he wins, I will be ecstatic enough, and wouldn't need the joy of winning extra cash too! I do enjoy a gamble and play poker at the local casino, where I have won several tournaments, but bookies don't conjure up odds from thin air, and I am sure they will be fully aware of how the public vote has gone, as well as what money has been laid on who to win. The daft thing is, that if someone laid a large enough wager on D to win, his odds could be cut drastically, and it's possible he could then become the bookies favourite. I know this won't happen, but it was a thought. Let's just hope that whatever the result is, D can go on and capitalise on the publicity from this show, and do well for himself in the UK. I am certain that his appearances here can have done his musical theatre career no harm whatsoever, but I'm hoping he will release his album and do the tour he has talked about. Unlike the Dive In tour(which I deeply regret not attending :(), I will make every effort to attend this one if it happens.

My sister, who's not a D fan, said how well he was doing, but more importantly, how poorly she felt the judges were treating him, singling him out and ignoring other people's errors. She knows I'm a big fan but doesn't have a bias towards D. Just another example of how clearly he's being descriminated against  I know that the odds have been proved wrong over the last few weeks, but surely they must have voting info from the rounds that have gone so far. If not, how can they have Bernie at 2/7 with D at 3/1. In a two horse race, that's almost the same as one of the horses only having three legs. I will vote all I can for D this week, I just hope it's not a waste of our money :( I've roped my sis into a little voting too ;)

I agree BT. I'm not keen on the thanking for and begging for votes either, but maybe it helps, I'm not sure either way. I don't remember seeing it from D before, so maybe it shows how much he would like to win this. When Bernie said after her first perfomance week 1, it means a lot to get such comments from one's peers, I thought how conceited she was, putting herself on the same level as Katherine and Rolando. I'm still not over impressed with her, although she has certainly developed. If D made a statement like this, it would be much closer to being accurate than Bernie making it IMO. Had something else to say but can't remember it now

Found this on a google search. I have no idea who it is(though I believe it is a lady) but found her tweets(or whatever they were) quite amusing and well observed. Here are some of the most relevent ones to me! Full list is here

Certainly didn't hear their reply, and I'm sure it's because they knew D was right  Exactly right about the aria Julie, even if D was excellent(which he was) he could only acheive an ok reception. An similar example might be having 2 divers, one who has a single dive in from the side of the pool, the other who is given a triple reverse somersault with 1 and a half twists from a 10M high board. If the guy on the side of the pool produces a perfect dive and the other person only manages an ok dive, the ok diver will win as his marks are still going to be higher than the man completing the perfect poolside dive! Sorry for the the long winded analogy, but it's just so frustrating how they want to control and restrict D's performance, whilst permitting others to shine in the few areas that they are capable of  Marcella was better this week, and overall. I haven't warmed to her at all, but she should have been in the final alongside D IMO. I think Bernie is a nice lady, but I haven't liked how she has celebrated each week after going through, especially as one or two of her supposed "friends" on the show, were to be departing immediately after. The worse thing for me though, is how positively biased Rolando has been with his comments and attitude towards her

Congratulations all again, our man has taken another big step! I just hope he can go on to win now. He's cost us a small fortune so far, might as well turn it into a fortune next week and help him win it :D

My interpretation was that it would be the singers from the show singing the songs from the show, particularly as it had them all featured, but cannot be certain  Not sure I would want an album, but I would certainly download D's contribution if it does eventually materialise.

I saw an Amazon link to a cd of music from the show PSTOS, but when I clicked it it just had descriptions of all the contestants and details of Rolando and Katherines albums that were available. No sign of a show cd, though it will most likely follow.

I think the acceptance is what saved him PIP. If he had gone on to sing "his own choice" the public probably wouldn't have supported him, thinking he's being arrogant. The truth is though, he was just trying to give himself a chance of singing something reasonable. He did well tonight, but the aria was aboslute $h!t IMO, a real nothing song

She missed notes, she was out of breath, but still Rolando waxes lyrical about her. t's starting to annoy me now  It sucks how they tried to manipulate the final two. It's clear to me they wanted D and Kym out and that's why they were put on 1+2.

She's had star billing througout as well as obsequious comments from Rolando every week :puke2: I 100% dissagree with this statement BT  It's two too much :D There were girls on stage??? I feared he might be. As I said, his voice has all but gone. Jesus I could probably have done it better than he did tonight :( Is there an aria without words, music or any sound whatsoever? If so, it's a sure bet D will end up with the bloody thing  Sod the show, the mentors and LLB (meat is ok in my book) Darius is wonderful and popular and no matter how they try and blight him, he just keeps on going. Screw 'em all I say! By the way, did I forget to say WHOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :w00t:

Leon Jackson I think. His voice really bored me on the show, as did his personality(or lack of it). I would have thought Rhydian would have been a better competitor in PSTOS than Danny, though they may feel his fan base isn't large enough to warrant a place??? Mind you, D hasn't exactly set the music world alight these past few years either, so who knows how people were selected

Who did win? I didn't like rhydian at all, but at least I can remember him :)

I had a horrible thought about this weeks eliminations. What if the person with the lowest votes gets automatically eliminated and then the judges decide who to save from the next two lowest, with the person with the most votes going through automatically :o Fortunately this on the tv guide eased my nerves a little. Hope it is just the public vote, then at least he wouldn't get robbed :o

D is quite a fit guy, but not even he will be able to spin around and perform this at the speed that's required without becoming breathless. If he does, they better bloomin' well say so!

I think D sponteaneously performed the twiddle, which probably wasn't going to feature but that he had rehearsed previously. If he had mentioned the previous rehearsal he wouldn't have been open to Rolando's comments, oh well!

Darius wins ITV's Pop Star to Opera Star 2
I agree with this but I also feel it would be nice if D could go on and win something, rather than just being a bloody good loser. He's settled for mediocre results in his music sales, certainly compared to the quality of his work produced, and I want him to win this not only because it's what I want, but because I genuinely feel he has been the most consistent and best performer looking over all of the weeks, even with the curve balls he's had to deal with. It's time D got what he deserves, huge success, so even though this isn't the platform I would have chosen, I want him to succeed here and go on to great things. If GWTW had been given anything like the chance it deserved, he would most likely be featuring in another key musical theatre role right now, though once again, that's not really what I would choose for him. I want D's success for D and for all of us who've been there from pretty much the start, and have kept faith and been exceptionally patient!

Can't believe that I forgot about the charity contributions  That's certainly one big plus for me to recruit, and it's looking unlikely that I'll be able to attend the final, so that's a couple of hundred pounds that I won't be spending I guess. It's just this feeling of is it a real win for D and is it what he would want us to do?
