Thanks for letting me know Bramley. I must admit, with the .net forum closing, I didn't really feel like going anyway :( even if D was going to be there! I will post them a cheque end of the month though. I used to work in London and many a morning I have walked past people sleeping in doorways etc! I can't imagine how horrible it must be to have nowhere to live, no sanctuary :o The Passage do a great job and are a worthy cause IMO.

Please tell me this isn't Rachell's site
  3. I think the majority of music footage on there probably has copyright issues, but it does still feature so we can hope :)

Some lovely pics but what will happen for 2009 though

I like parties where I know and feel comfortable with people and loathe what I call "posh do's" because no matter how smartly I am dressed, I always feel a bit of a scumbag and completely out of place. I put up with this feeling at this type of event because I want the chance to see and chat with D but so late in the day, I can't think he will be making an appearance :(

It would be nice to have some new material to listen to, but so much better to have an album coming out, with promotional gigs/ signings etc! to attend. I love seeing how wonderful Darius is on stage, but it's been 3 years since I saw him singing one of his own songs live and I worry I might never get the opportunity again :(

If D is a late entry, will you be able to make it Bramley? What price show tickets are you opting for Meg? As I have no interest in classical music, I was thinking of going for the cheapest option, especially if I do decide to buy an aftershow ticket and particularly if I then decide not to travel down. It would be nice to say hello to you two again if I do though :) My only other concern is will they allow my camera into the aftershow. I have to laugh at some of these concert venues. They stop people from taking in an SLR camera and a 75-300mm lens, but are happy to allow compact cameras with upto 18X(approx 500mm equivalent in some cases) zoom and a video recording capability into the show  If that was the case I would be a very unhappy bunny
  8. Have had this before and definately will again, Suspicious Minds :yahoo:

"but films seem to be the next progression. Their gain, our loss. " Agree totally on both counts :( but I would love D to make it big, even if it were as an actor. Once again we will have to wait and see :(

That's a shame, it would have been nice to catch up Nina :( So instead of going there and feeling like a Billy no mates, I really am a Billy no mates  Sorry for self pity, it's just that for once an event has fallen perfect for my rota, I wish Darius was going to be there. I might just buy a ticket anyway, then if no-one else is going I can decide whether or not to travel down, book accomadation etc! At least the Passage would get my contribution. I will decide in the next week or so. If anyone can make it, do post here :) Meg, sorry only just noticed, hope your job search is successful :)

Its occurring on December 2nd Spam, so unless you are asking Dr Who I would say no, not yet anyway :D Oh I would love to go to this. BT I must be worth travelling to see :D Meg, are you sure you can't make the aftershow? I am pretty sure it's being held in the same complex, so not too far to walk :) Anyone else?

Can't believe it's been about 4 YEARS :o since Live Twice was released. It almost feels like we have lived twice waiting for the 3rd album :(
  13. I wasn't keen on Will's new single but doesn't he have a truly beautiful voice  wonderful tone and incredible control :)
  14. I am with you on this Meg. I don't feel this was the best Darius could have done, even with these songs, but he was still pretty good, certainly better than Blake(as a group and each individually). I love that he was on screen for almost half the show(solo's and joining in) For once, he wasn't sidelined as so often seems to be the case. KJ's style(the warbling) is an aquired taste(certainly not to mine) but she sang strongly and got a wonderful crowd reaction. I am not religious and this is about the first time I have sat through a full songs of praise. I would do again if D was on, but only if D was on I think! Thanks for the reminder Preston :)

Sorry for double post but needed to say this. I hate jazz(surprise surprise) and JC reminds me of a small version of the Elephant Man, who's voice just mashes most different songs into a singularity, YUK!!! :puke2:

Keep reminding please. Even though I am looking forward to this, I normally manage to forget to tune in  so all reminders greatfully accepted :)
  17. There was quite a bit of the tongue popping out at Lincoln  http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b252/PaulHardy/Buzzjack/49.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b252/PaulHardy/Buzzjack/47.jpg Though I still prefer the looking right into camera shot :) http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b252/PaulHardy/Buzzjack/48.jpg I really like how happy and into his performance he looks in this one too :) and the wonky cross is in shot. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b252/PaulHardy/Buzzjack/46.jpg
  18. I miss Helen too :( Just wish I had spent more time chatting with her on the few times we attended events together :( I guess you just never know :( I am sure(especially after going back through this thread) that helen would want me and everyone to keep posting their pics of Darius here though :) I just love it when D looks right at the camera. Really liked this shot which has previously featured on .net, but messed up the focus. It's not perfect, but having learned a little about editing pics, I am quite pleased with this result :) http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b252/PaulHardy/Buzzjack/45.jpg Here is an exclusive(I think, don't think I put it on .net). As Darius has now had a number of photos in public with Natasha, I don't believe he would object to me posting this here :) http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b252/PaulHardy/Buzzjack/41.jpg They are such a lovely couple, and seem so right together :)
  19. I still remember how my heart was absolutely pounding  before he made his first appearance as Billy Flynn. That 25 mins (approx) before he hit the stage, got scarier by the second and seemed to last hours. As he appeared and spoke the words "Is everybody here? Is everybody ready? Hit it!" and then when he started to sing my aprehension left me and I just knew he would be great, and oh was he Sorry back on track, I couldn't get the clip to play :( When I tried it just says "not available in your area" :( Did someone say there is no sound anyway?

Thanks Meg :) I have to admit though, I have very, very little interest in classical music either :( I would like to say a quick hello to Sir Roger Moore, but I am not prepared to travel so far and go to the expense just in case I got to have a few words with him. I think I might(unless we hear D will attend) just give it a miss and perhaps post a little cheque to the charity instead. Could seriously do with a Darius event to attend, but who knows when the next one might be

2nd of December in London, details here NUTS2008 Bramley :) Meg, I would love to meet up for this if you are going I would really like to go to the aftershow too, as it's a long way to come for just the concert, what do you think?
  22. B.P. posted a post in a topic in Pop and Country
HI all :) As we haven't heard anything, I am presuming that Darius isn't attending this event, but I am thinking of going and wondered if anyone else would be there from here? I would like to go, but don't want to spend all evening as "Billy no mates" so please pm me or respond here if you are going or thinking of going, thanks! NUTS2008 Paul :)

Sorry for double post, missed yours Meg whilst typing I think if there is a waterfall, he will be heading quickly towards it Meg, though as we fear, it may not be what's best for us  Just don't see him as a calm water type

I am sure, given the same circumstances, that D would again make such a commitment of time for the right opportunity. He has acted in musical theatre before, but to open a new show as leading man, particularly such a demanding role, was a huge break(which could still lead to more) even though the show was doomed for an early closure. A big step up from his previous endeavours and we all know how he likes a challenge :)
  25. So will this footage be used just next week or is it possible it may feature in a future edition or Christmas special etc!?
