I think his audition sounds like it's for a smaller role and not one of the principles. That being said, he is quite imposing in the flesh, and he's a good enough actor IMO to be offered more than he's applying for. We'll have to wait and see(no change there then  ) but it's interesting all the same :)

You are absolutely right Meg! In truth it's only a minority of our society that are behaving like this, and a shame that we are all included in this expression. It's disgusting what's occuring, and now I see 3 young men have been killed in Birmingham whilst trying to protect their businesses :o Decent people murdered for nothing more than trying to look after their livelihood :( It's disgusting!

Even committed fans have felt that way about D at more than one point in the past, with several missed opportunities, but as has been said, he is his own man. I just wish he could acheive the great potential he has in both music and acting, as I feel he could be a huge filmstar if he put his mind to it. He's got everything required to be a popular and great actor, as well as his musical theatre capabilities. More than anything though, I'd just like to see him singing live, and soon!!!

Too true :( My pleasure, what did I do :D So little going on with D(for us here) at the moment, but am I the only one who get's excited when someone posts a favourable message about D, even if we don't know who they are? :)
  5. Thanks Clare! Oh dear! When Natasha announces "my husband's drunk", Darius does look a little miffed. He does also looked like he's had a few too though! I wonder if he finds it hard being less famous than his wife? Everywhere he goes in the UK, people know him and want autographs/pictures etc! I think he probably doesn't really mind, but it must be a little strange for him.

I was sure I'd seen a blue and white Scottish flag on a profile of yours somewhere Bramley, oops! Sorry

Now that's what I call a positive from 2 negatives, nice 1 Meg Hi Jo, hope all's good for you up there in Sunny Scotland :)

That rag has always put a downward spin on D, even when he's been doing good for charity. I don't and won't buy it and feel it's only just worthy of mopping up a puppy's toilet training accident, and I do mean only just!

    Same here Meg :(

Surely though Meg, it'd be better for you to have 100 people(or however many) entering with all the right answers than no-one entering at all. If you made it a little easier, as I suggested above, more people would be inclined to participate.

I didn't want to say at the time, but I thought the questions were a little tough Meg. I couldn't answer some of them without researching, so people with less of an interest might have struggled too. Perhaps you could make the questions a little more simple, or possibly do what the magazines do, post an article about Darius with all the answers in. People could then read the article there and then, and whilst being informed about D, be able to answer the questions and go into the draw for the posters. Positive from a negative, at least there was a lot of views Meg, so it shows there was good interest :)

I think I know what you mean pip, as I don't feel D has had anything like the recognition his talent deserves, but he's got a pretty good life at the moment. Part of why we love him is because of the way he's dealt with adversity in the past, and whilst I've personally disagreed with some of the career decisions he's made, he's out there doing what he wants to do, earning a living and living with the woman of his dreams, lucky man :) Not to mention that he's healthy, attractice and supremely talented, as well as being a wonderful person too ;) I hope his throat gets better, and even if he can't sing, I would like to see him appear on PSTOS, so I'll keep my fingers crossed :)

It's good he was asked, and a shame he had to cancel. Just wish we knew a little more about it and what and when he's going to be doing in the future. Guess we'll just have to wait and see, again......

But as it was the 1st series, there wasn't a reigning champion to return. Most every other show of this type has a return from last years winner, it would be extremely odd if he didn't make an appearance, even if he wasn't going to sing :???: I'll be dissappointed if he's not asked back :(

Surely he must make an appearance in this series as reigning champion, shouldn't he? Any news Meg?

As has been mentioned Polly, if someone's not been fortunate enough to meet D, then all they have to go on is his sporadic internet contacts, and even die hard fans like us have become frustrated at the lack of info supplied. He does big band well, and I would still go see him if that was the direction he went, but it's really not what I would like from him. If he decided on another stint in Chicago(or some other show) at least we would know where he was, so we could say hello. I hope all who see him at Kempton Park enjoy the show and please give us a full report :)

No she'd have got it free if she'd smiled at him :)

Missed opportunities is something of a recurring theme with D Sue, but it's also a big part of why we like him, because he's his own man, making his own decisions, rather than cashing in like most would. I just wish he could finally acheive the full recognition I feel he deserves, both as an entertainer(in whatever genre) and as a wonderful human being. I'd quite like to see him singing some of his own music live too, but who knows when that might happen  I can't see him not making an appearance on the show as a guest artist, if not in the proceeding weeks, then at the final. We'll just have to keep an eye out for him, just in case ;)

God I hope not  Just thought I should post to let you guys know I'm still around. Maybe someone could suggest it to D to do the same  Sorry for the pessimism :(
  20. It does say that the voting is scrutinised before the result is announced. There seem to have been many occasions when O got lots of votes very quickly, so we'll have to see what result is posted. He's already won PSTOS and Natasha's hand, so I think we can accept if he's come a good 2nd in this one :)
  21. O 2436 votes D 1529 votes
  22. Feels a bit odd voting for D as "Most Attractive Male", but I support D and do feel of those shown he is the most attractive male, so I'll vote when I can. Besides Magda would like it :D

He dosn't look entirely happy to be photographed in that pic to me, something in his smile that's a little forced or something :???:

Hi Sue! I'm fine thanks :) I've been watching but not had much to say(for a change :D ) The thought did cross my mind, but I'm officially poor again as we've just purchased a little 3 bed holiday chalet and it needs quite a bit of work. Meg, I might need to borrow Nina and your sledgehammer please :D
