Both charges are misdemeanors, each carrying a maximum of 6 months in jail. The charges stem from an August 6 incident in L.A. where Spears was in a private parking lot in the San Fernando Valley. The Los Angeles City Attorney filed charges this afternoon. Spears' arraignment is set for October 10. The City Attorney sent Spears a letter notifying her of the charges. Ignore all those terrible Britney Spears songs wafting around the internet because the new Britney album is going to be pretty good. We know this because we've heard an actual song from the album, and we don't mean 'Gimme More'. Here is all we have to you about it. » It is called 'State Of Grace' which, as much as we love her, is not something we would ever credit Britney with knowing very much about. But not to worry. » We would describe the track as 'understated' which, again, is something we would not usually credit Britney with ever being. But by understated we do not mean 'half-arsed'. We mean 'subtle and amazing'. » There is a bit of an Eastern influence on the track, although less so than Hilary Duff's 'Stranger', which is as good a reference point for songs that have an Indian influence as we could hope to offer. » With a bit of rejigging it might have sounded a bit like 'With Every Heartbeat'. It was only officially released to radio yesterday, so if it doesn't have a big jump next week, then it ain't going to do much better than it is on airplay. Hopefully it does good on itunes

UPDATE: An MTV rep tells Extra! that Britney will “not [be] premiering” any music video tomorrow. Sadness!!!!!

No i don't think so, but she isn't falling which alot of people are saying. If it keeps climbing on the airplay chart like it is then it's doing really good.

The cut posted the most increased plays on R&R's CHR/Top 40 chart for a second straight week (up 976 spins) and climbs 25-20 on the tally, marking Spears' first top 20 appearance since "Every Time" in summer 2004. Spears last graced the survey with "My Prerogative" in the fall of 2004. Her prior best entrance was the No. 24 launch of "Me Against the Music" in Oct. 2003. "Gimme" is Spears' 16th charting title this decade, tying her with fellow former Mouseketeer Christina Aguilera for most by a female in that span. On Billboard's Pop 100 Airplay chart, "Gimme More" jumps 25-16. The cut is expected to be released digitally later this month or early next; Spears' new, as-yet-untitled Jive album is due Nov. 13.

Superstar Jennifer Lopez wants to share the stage with the Spice Girls during their forthcoming world tour. The singer/actress is good friends with Posh Spice Victoria Beckham and wants to join them on their reunion gigs, which begins in Los Angeles later this year (07Dec07). She says, "I'd love to get back out there on tour and I'd really like to perform on the same stage as the Spice Girls. "Even before we were friends, Posh was always my favourite."

I really doubt it's official. Don't websites sometimes use promo pics when they don't have the official one? Also, when did Britney start going by the name "Britney" and not "Britney Spears"? All her singles/Albums have been her full name.

I don't think it would be a good idea. She is best not speaking about the Vma's because it will make a bigger thing out of it.

The sun paper and Heat magazine are reporting that Gimme More is out Nov 5th in the UK. It sounds right to me since the album is released the week after. Shame the single leaked soo early

It's not confirmed, but i would believe it as the single normally gets released a week or 2 before the album. I havn't a clue about the video, we normally get it after the US, but they havn't got it yet which is weird
