Aw those were the days. Pure melodrama. There have been some trully excellent 'character actors' in Neighbours. Another fave of mine was Lyn Scully (Janet Andrewartha). I appreciate the show had to move with the times, but that style of writing would never have gotten old for me.

I look forward to seeing what they come up with, especially reading everyone's opinions on all of it. I hope we get Step To Me on Spotify. And even the live version too (from TFI Friday). Whatever we get.... There should be lots to talk about!

Thanks for sharing Jay. I can definitely relate to this. I was a similar age when Fever came into my life. For me, she kept me strong while I was struggling to overcome being bullied at home and at school. Kylie's positivity is something I really appreciate in her work. She has an amazing ability to lift us all up.

Crickets was a bizarre cover, let alone as a single choice... With everyone "coming" everywhere. Breathing and No sign of Life were right there. But even So Long would've been a better choice for the album and single.

Say Something. Poor Magic though. It's pure joy.

Legends, 4 piece, Top 10 ... But this is me being optimistic. We know they'd be amazing with the power of 5. But my heart dare not dream such a thing.

Wow. That was gorgeous. Melanie really demonstrated her talent with that live vocal. She's on great form right now

Haha. It's looks like a committee of people took about 30 seconds to come up with that title. "The Sporty One"? Oof

Fever. The perfect album at the perfect time. In my opinion it was a big step up in terms of originality and artistry. And the concept leant itself beautifully to the live show, where it evolved exponentially. It seemed as though Kylie made significant strides in terms of what a non-US solo female artist could accomplish at the time. The music was very credible in it's own right. And still sounds fresh today. Kylie wasn't messing about with that one.

That logo is not good. Sad times. Not even comparable to the original Spice World one. My nan could do better on MS Word. That Emma crop is tragic. Looks like the market rip-off merch from 1996. I would've preferred to see an updated, brighter colour way for the lettering of the original. That light touch is all it needed.

Impossible Princess for me. But it was very close. So glad Lightyears happened, of course. But dare I say, perhaps a touch cheesy for me (in places). Kylie has raised her disco pop game to far greater heights since.

I would love Kylie to give us the album we didn't get with X. I love X when you add all the outtakes and take out the incongruous tracks (2 Hearts, All I See, Cosmic...). That harder electro pop with an 80s New Wave edge, could be a nice progression from Disco.

Impossible Princess. Aside from my personal disdain at the launch single choice, the entire album has a more mature sound. You can tell it was a passion project. This is where Kylie grew from a fantastic performer into an artist. Sublime.

Shame VB didn't realise she was never going to be a successful r'n'b singer. Pop suited her voice so much more. MF was such an album stand out But then why she gave us the mum pop of IOU and AMOIO is another quandary. Her fan base were teenagers. But at least we got LYHG eventually.

I've finished watching all five Spice eps now. Not sure I'll carry on much further without them. But thoroughly enjoyed watching Scary and Baby together. I do wonder if there's scope for a new format of show they could all do together. Their personalities are so good for telly. For instance, the Spice Girls presenting a UK Queer Eye special would be fun. :lol:

Yes I think you're right. I can definitely see myself rewatching EPs 2 - 5 Edit: I forgot to mention how cool it is when they speak at the same time and say almost exactly the same thing. It really shows close they have been for so many years.

I've been loving this. Our girls only came in at the end of the first episode, so that was a bit of a slog. But now they're here it's really great. The dynamic they have is really entertaining and adorable. And I'm actually starting to warm to the contestants too.

That is true. Those ladies are excellent dancers. But obviously I'd take almost any Kylie single over theirs any day of the week. And a few from Neon Nights (just to keep on topic B-) )

Love that Spice energy. I might just give this a try.

Dannii demonstrated some impressive dance skills during her neon nights era. I might go as far as to say that she gives Kylie a run for her money in that regard. Especially in this performance.

White Diamond is gorgeous. Thank you for sharing that divine performance. It was a new one for me. I enjoy both versions equally, which is probably testament to the quality of songwriting. Should definitely have been a bonus track on X (at the very least).

Thinking about Splendour. It's usually very family friendly and relaxed. It's also in a beautiful setting.
