  1. Totally agree with you. Not exactly a Tina fan either. Her colour way isn't my fave. But I felt she'd clearly considered how the advert was going to get edited together, with cut aways and clear changes in character. I also think she was right to use recognisable looks as it was a branding challenge. So very strange to criticise that this week. Especially when they praised her for that housewife look last week. Very mixed messages. Also agree about Symone's furry suit. Maybe the judges didn't clock that one.
  2. Kandy not being read for those runway and commercial looks is absurd. They were basically those halloween body suit things. Lazy and redundant. Tina got treated dirty this ep. Everything she did was fairly decent. Especially the lipsync.
  3. Stunning. If anyone tells me the spice girls can't sing, I'll be going straight to this. And if she carries on, we'll have an acoustic greatest hits before long. I'd be thrilled if she got Bryan Adams to do one with her for 'When You're Gone'.
  4. As a six year old when this was released, I was the perfect audience for the fairly naive, simplistic lyrics. So I have a soft spot for this one. It's got quite a catchy little groove to it too.
  5. That was a genuine, heart-felt episode. Lovely.
  6. Agreed on 'Lifetime to Repair'. When I first heard it, I thought it'd be a favourite album track. But then it was released as a single... 😳 But I guess the lack of a proper video didn't help.
  7. Not much in it, but I prefer Golden. More just the song, rather than as a single choice. I can see Real Groove was a good single choice. And Kylie has done some great stuff with it. For me, it's the sentiment of the lyrics that doesn't particularly appeal. A little too salty. Golden's lyrics are uplifting and cleverly written. So that got my vote.
  8. 'Monday Blues' could almost be a 'Light Years' track. It's got a wiff of 'Loveboat' and 'Koocachoo' about it. Not necessarily a bad thing. But I'd say 'Disco' is generally a bit cooler than this song.
  9. Voted 00s. Kylie was really hitting her creative stride then, and she was everywhere. We also got 'I Believe In You' and 'Ultimate Kylie', which was a wonderful moment.
  10. So many of these deserved better. But I think the real travesty, for me, was Into The Blue. As a lead single, it was perfect. An obvious stand-out on the album. With a more conceptual, more impactful video, it could have garnered more attention. It was all a bit too subtle.
  11. Magic for me. It's pure Kylie - instant, feel-good and infectious. She's basically providing a public service at this point.
  12. Melanie really smashes this one on her own. I loved the acoustic version she did for Radio 2 (it's on youtube if you haven't seen it). She really gave it some guts.
  13. It's a spectacular rainbow-filled tour de force. Whenever I hear it, I feel the love that Kylie has for her LGBT following. Pure joy.
  14. Holy Spice World. That new version is a solid gold stunner. So different!
  15. I could see Dancefloor Darling and Celebrate You as a double a-side.
  16. 'Magic' and 'Dancefloor Darling' I would've voted for 'Where Does The DJ Go' a few weeks ago. But 'Dancefloor Darling' has really grown on me. Was surprised by that result too.
  17. Take me to the club Melanie. Love it
  18. I think BL has some pretty decent moments. 'Promises' is one of my most-played album tracks. But probably the most Fever-esque track on the album.
  19. Joey Jay. The producers knew we'd be clutching our butts when she got porkchopped. Rosé gives me Simon Cowell vibes out of drag. But maybe it's the arrogance.
  20. Looks to be nicely filmed, with plenty of Melanie - looking fierce btw - which is what I like to see. It's all about the light show, which benefits from being filmed in the dark. Can't wait to see the rest of it.
  21. Loved hearing Mel B's upper register. Reminding me of how she used to blend so beautifully with Emma. I don't watch the show usually, but she seemed to do a great job. I would say it sounds like it's difficult to breathe in those masks though.
  22. My fave live performance of 'I Turn to You' Those vowels sound stunning.
  23. She was spectacular. So proud of her.
  24. Kylie was my number 1 this year. Say Something was my second most played song. And I was in top 0.005% of Kylie's listeners. Quite proud of that.
  25. 1. Who I Am 3. Blame It On Me Melanie C was my number 2 artist. Kylie dominated most of my stats. But I have to say, Melanie got me through Lockdown 1, no doubt.
