  1. Emma just confirmed on The One Show that Will Young and Jade Jones will be performing with her at the Royal Albert Hall. Shaping up to be a great show.
  2. The one show just confirmed Emma is releasing a single. Stating she is 'vying for a Christmas number 1'. A little optimistic perhaps. But I can't wait to find out what she's got up her sleeve.
  3. I wonder if Melanie will do her own remix for this one? I do hope so!
  4. Actually still quite enjoy 'Pack Your Shit'. For some reason I remembered that as a duet with Sisqo. I must've been wrong there. I reckon, with a clean language version it could've been a single. 'Pack your Filth' maybe?

Nice to see something about 'This Time' getting some love. Not my fave album but 'Understand' was always a highlight for me. I think that dreadful video cheapened the song somewhat. It deserved better. Still stand by 'Go!'. But 'The Sea' would be a close second, had it been included.
  6. Video looks cute and funny. I could def watch 3 minutes of that.
  7. Looks and sounds fantastic. Glad to see the production values are on a par with VOM era.
  8. ‘What I am’ - mainly for Emma’s vocal. But ‘Lift me up’ is also just a tad too cheesy for me nowadays.

Predictable but... 'Go!' was a perfect album opener. Those pounding drums really let us know that we were about to get something different from the world of spice. I remember feeling so excited by that track. It was probably single-worthy to be honest.
  11. Wow. Sum Ting has a gorgeous voice. Well done her
  12. The first solo spice number one featuring the huge talent that is Missy Elliot. There's no competition.
  13. I agree with you Jay. For me, Robbie and Will are great names. But Josh's soulful vocal is a better match with Emma's. I think 'I Only Wanna Be With You' is an incredible song though. It just never gets old.
  14. The disconnect between the Cheryl Cole/Hole pseudonym and the Essex girl schtick bothers me. To me, it's just not a well-developed character unfortunately.
  15. I love Baga but... that runway look did not meet the brief. Calling it "Laser Minnelli" doesn't really cut it for me. Definitely recycling an existing look. Divina de Campo was a bit robbed.
  16. I voted for 'Santa Baby' because it's a solid cover and a Christmas staple for me. I'm not sure I really accept OANLT as a cover. <_<

  18. Yes Emma! Get practising 'All I Need To Know' ;)
  19. Agreed. 'Loving You' still gives me chills. Exceptional harmonies. Sung with genuine emotion. An inspired collaboration.
  20. I've voted yes as a highlight, but no as a single. It has a mix of sounds that makes it special as an album track. But, in my opinion, it wouldn't work as a single as it's too disjointed. It would confuse the heck out of a dance floor.
  21. 'Like That' was my favourite from VB's first album. I could imagine J-Lo recording that at the time. Would have been a good follow up to NSAIG. It sounds more grown-up and credible. All the ballads were way too cheesy for me though. I remember being shocked that AMOIO didn't bomb.
  22. For me, 'Love Affair' was the single that could have been. CIMW was an unexpected single choice to me. But it made sense given the media coverage of the tour, of which this was a stand out.
  23. Totally agree on your first three. But she should never have released 'Lullaby'. I think that was the nail in the coffin.
  24. Many of these have seen a release over the years (Hits + I think). And it's those that are generally more finished sounding to my ear. 'If You Don't Love Me' is stunning, for example. But of those I've not heard before, I'm surprised that 'Living For Your Loving' wasn't polished up and included in the album. Although it does sound strangely familiar, which makes me wonder if it's an obvious derivation. Could be wrong though.
  25. I like the vocal melodies and instrumentation of 'Sophisticated Lady'. But the sparse lyrics are about sex rather than being a sophisticated lady. To me it seems very hastily thrown together. 'Hey You (Free Up Your Mind)' feels like it was a day's work away from being a single contender. Just needs a little more tempo. So I voted for that one.
