  1. This Groove – VB looks gorgeous as ever but bit boring and predictable. Lullaby – Cute photo but better for the family album than a single cover. Understand – Although I actually really like all the remaining songs.
  2. Yay  To me, it's moody, dramatic and actually quite thrilling. I wonder if it's the fact that Kylie doesn't sing the verses, and the heavy use of backing singers in the song as a whole, that offends people? Neither of those things bother me in the least. Besides, it still delivers a real moment of soaring Kylie vocal in the middle.
  3. 'Where The Wild Roses Grow' is top for me. But (unpopular opinion perhaps) 'Where Is The Feeling' is also great. It gives me 90s Bjork vibes.
  4. I wonder if Melanie has still got those two albums in the works? Obviously, I'm so happy that she's focussing on Spice Girls right now. But at the same time, I hope she's still writing and creating. I loved the fun vibe of VOM and am definitely here for the next phase of that journey.
  5. Didn’t realise there was an after party!
  6. Agreed. Sorry but ‘Lullaby’ is incredibly basic by comparison.
  7. Why didn't they ask us?! I'd love an A1 print of a proper photoshoot with them in their tour costumes. I'd pay £££ for a couple of those. Also a new lollipop tin.
  8. No way. Mel B is a born performer! She was having the time of her life up on that stage.
  9. I heard Melanie's shout out. But I heard something more along the lines of "There's someone here who helped write many of these songs... Biff Stannard. Thank you. We love you." Personally, I didn't hear mention of future songs. But I hope I'm wrong.
  10. Well, I guess it was only a throw away comment as they left the stage. And she was laughing as she said it. That's Mel B for you! Honestly, I love her for it. Because we wouldn't have had 'Spice World 2019' if she hadn't been carrying on this way. But painful for the Aussie fans to hear. I do feel for them.
  11. I went to the final Wembley show. It was my first ever time seeing them live and a life-long dream. I went with my two best friends, my sister and my boyfriend. It was so special. Obviously 'Spice Up Your Life' was a highlight. But 'Who Do You Think You Are' really suited the 'house of' theme. And 'Holler' was a real stand-out moment too. '2 Become 1' and 'Viva Forever' were especially magical. And the nostalgia of 'Wannabe'/'Stop' section made me feel like I was back in the 90's. 'Mama' with all the mums and babies was very touching too (especially seeing Mel B up there with Madison and her mum). And Geri's apology moment brought a tear to my eye. Basically it was everything I'd hoped for and more. But the best thing, for me, was the pure positivity and inclusive atmosphere. Seeing so many people feeling that much love and joy was quite overwhelming. Girl power has well and truly evolved into something new. It seemed, for the first time, they've really understood that a whole generation has been inspired to embrace their individuality and love each other's differences. I bloody love those women and everything they stand for!
  12. The sound was great at Wembley and the vocals were pretty flawless. Particularly surprised by Geri. The UK press have always given the Spice Girls a hard time because they challenge the patriarchy. It's a load of nonsense. I arrived for when the gates opened and got a great spot standing on the pitch. If they come to Aus, you should definitely go. It was the best thing I've ever seen. Feels like it was an amazing dream. I understand why some people went twice.
  13. At last, a sensible review of Spice World 2019, from 'The Spectator' no less. Now there's a source you can trust. "Nostalgia provided an undeniable frisson. But it was the rude vitality of the four girls themselves, as they swept through a succession of costume changes and routines, that was key to the resounding success of the show." https://www.spectator.co.uk/2019/06/way-mor...-tour-reviewed/
  14. Well done Jay! Great result overall. A top 10 placing feels like a win 19 years after their last top 10 single!
  15. This is too tense. I can't take it! :hithead:
  16. Woohoo! Kylie has so many amazing album tracks. Very intrigued to see what gets chosen. Would 'Your Disco Needs You' be classed as a single for this competition? If not, I'd imagine it'd be her best known album track. If I had to choose a personal favourite would be one of... 'Disco Down', 'Love Affair', 'Like A Drug', 'Things Can Only Get Better' or 'White Diamond' (if it's eligible).
  17. If we do squeak through (which is looking a bit doubtful). I wonder what album track we could use for the next round? NGUOTGT is clearly their best album track. But people might know 'Move Over', mightn't they?
  18. 'Sexy No No No' is brash and fun. But I've voted for Spice Girls because it's a meaningful, lovingly-crafted swan song.
  19. The fact that Melanie C is fully embracing being Sporty Spice again could be a good sign. I always think nothing's ever serious until she gets serious. At this point, it doesn't seem at all far-fetched.
  20. Oh no! I didn't realise there had to be a play-off. I thought that was only for a tie situation. Poor 'Goodbye'. For me, it's very much the swan song for their heyday.
  21. We're just hanging in there! But only by one vote  I voted yesterday. Really hope we get through!
  22. Honest Vocal Coach pretty much hits the nail on the head with that video. She always very understanding and supportive. Not really a good example of Mel B's abilities. A fairly haphazard performance with too much messy choreography. But she's not often performed live on her own. Glad she mentioned her and Melanie C's 'Sisters' duet though. I'd argue that Emma's voice is stronger than ever. But she's always had a gorgeous tone. Melanie C is obviously a power house.
  23. Completely agree. I think 'Goodbye' may have done ok a bit earlier because of the emotional attachment most of us have to it. But would've still been a bit of a gamble. So pleased the Spice Girls have held their own against more current artists for so long. You've done the girls and the fans proud.
  24. She really should've cancelled :teresa:
