So true. It's almost timeless Kylie. I think it would've been a smash in any era from 'Light Years' to 'Aphrodite'. It's a shame it had very little impact in 2015. Maybe if it'd been released as Kylie feat. Giorgio, it might've generated more interest? Who knows.

I remember where I was the first time I saw the 'Did It Again' video. It had a definite effect on me. Imo, the song wouldn't be quite as good without the video. It's so hard to think of one without the other. But it should still be higher.

Introduce Yourself
Name: Michael Age: 33 How Long Have You Been A Fan: Since they were on the soaps How Did You Become A Fan: I grew up with both on my telly every dinner time. Mum would buy their singles for my sister and I when we went on the big shop. Then we'd all dance in the lounge when we got home. Favourite Kylie Song: 'Confide In Me' for artistry, 'Hand On Your Heart' for nostalgia, 'I Believe In You' for everything else Favourite Dannii Song: 'All I Wanna Do' Favourite Kylie Album: 'Fever' Favourite Dannii Album: 'Neon Nights' Favourite Kylie Video: 'Did It Again' Favourite Dannii Video: 'Touch Me Like That' but it's nothing to write home about. Least Favourite Kylie Song: 'Beautiful' - production ruins a sweet song. Least Favourite Dannii Song: 'Tonight's Temptation' or something else just as bland from 'Get Into You' Least Favourite Kylie Album: 'Let's Get To It' - but it does have some gems Least Favourite Dannii Album: 'Get Into You' Least Favourite Kylie Video: 'I Was Gonna Cancel' Least Favourite Dannii Video: 'Perfection' is far from perfect

I like 'Kids' too (especially on the karaoke)! This is in spite of my general disdain for Robbie's inflated ego. Somehow, Kylie brings out the good in him. It feels like a bit of a send-up. It's so much fun!

This is a nice way to look at it. I think, at the time, I probably had similar viewpoint on it. I'd forgotten that. I do like it when Kylie delivers something unexpected. And it was such a relief to have her back. I guess '2 Hearts' just struggles to be as memorable as some of her other work.

Nice. I would've enjoyed that little run. You've made me think 'Kiss Me Once' actually had a few potential hits. I love all your single choices. I probably wouldn't choose 'Feels So Good' for promo. That one drags on a bit for me. But all better choices than 'I Was Gonna Cancel'.

Totally agreed on 'Beautiful'. I can't bear that vocal production. The live version, on the KMO live album, is much nicer. I wish there was a un-synthesized studio version. On the other hand, 'Million Miles' is still on my running playlist today. I might've preferred that as the second single.

I was so pleased when Kylie released this single. '2 Hearts' had me worried for a minute. ;)

If their album eras had one more single each...
Yaaasssss! People use the term "bop" all too freely. But this song never fails to induce a little bounce and shimmy. I defy anyone not to bop to that beat.

I'm not saying any of these would've been a chart smash, but I would've been interested: Spice - 'Love Thing' (but I don't think it was necessary) Spiceworld - 'Never give up on the good times' Forever - 'Time Goes By' (For me, there were many missed opportunities with 'Forever'. But TGB would've been my favourite for a Christmas release. ) Northern Star - 'Go!' (because I can't have 'Ga Ga') Reason - 'Reason' (because I can't have 'Like That') Beautiful Intentions - 'Don't Need This' (followed by 'Last night on Earth') This Time - 'Your Mistake' (but only if it sounded something like the Soundminister remix) The Sea - 'Enemy' (because I'd have loved an epic 'X Factor' performance - I'm picturing banners, wind machines, powdered drums, acrobats, a contemporary rhumba with no shoes on, the works) Stages - 'Maybe this time' (only for a sassy video) Version of me - 'Unravelling' (with a gorgeous video, featuring an aerial silks performer doubling for Melanie) Schizophonic - 'Let Me Love You' (without the lovely Indian bit) Scream If You Wanna Go Faster - 'Don't Call Me Baby' Passion - 'Love Never Loved Me' A Girl Like Me - 'High On Love' Free Me - 'Breathing' Life In Mono - 'Take Me To Another Town' Hot - 'Hotter' LA State Of Mind - None VB - 'Girlfriend' (served with a J-Lo-style remix alongside and dance-heavy video)

Single #3 ● Predictions
I'd like to see 'Shelby 68' as the next single. It's breezy, summery and a nice change of pace to the first two very up-beat singles. To me, it sounds like the route Taylor Swift might've continued on after '1989'. Definitely 'Music’s Too Sad Without You' as a single too. But I'd love that to be released around November.

Your Favourite Solo Debut Album?
You make some interesting points. Melanie C is, of course, a very talented singer. Her power and range are incredible. To my ear, Emma has a softer, sweeter, less-abrasive tone. That's just my opinion. With more appropriate collaborators, her debut could've been much stronger. 'Free Me' demonstrates that. I think Emma was underestimated by Virgin. So we got one great single and mediocre debut album.

Your Favourite Solo Debut Album?
I voted for 'Northern Star'. Melanie C was so lucky with the amount of talent enlisted for that album. Emma's 'A Girl Like Me' seems a bit budget by comparison. If 'Free Me' had been Emma's debut, she could've outshone Melanie C and Geri.

Throwback! Anniversaries of Spice Girls moments
Yeh I think you're right. Wham! was definitely Geri's model for success. Her ambition was her greatest asset, but also her Achilles heal. She set such painfully high standards for herself and the band. I'd say 'Stop' is still one of their most well-known songs. Even non-fans know the dance moves.
-
Throwback! Anniversaries of Spice Girls moments
I always thought this was probably quite a contributing factor to Geri's departure. The media really jumped on it, saying the bubble had burst. All their singles reaching the top 2 was still an incredible achievement. Hell, even top 10, is amazing. If not for the backlash, perhaps they would've been around for a bit longer.

Bless Emma. She obviously wants something to happen but doesn't want to get too carried away. If Cordon had said this to Mel B, it'd be a done deal, in the press, definitely going ahead, "We're shooting it tomorrow afternoon". Then... nada.

I think Mel B will keep talking it up for the exposure. I'm ignoring her now, to save my poor broken heart

Spice or Spiceworld?
'Spiceworld' is perfect. I love the variety of influences and sounds. The album introduced a generation of kids to motown, swing, latin and disco. But I don't think they'd have been as successful if 'Spiceworld' had been their debut. To me, 'Spice' was more r'n'b, sexy and cool. There were some quite grown-up themes in there.
