I instantly loved 'Dancing' because it's just so joyous and fun. Admittedly, the chorus could use a few more lyrics. But that didn't stop 'Can't Get You Out of MY Head', so I still love it. I like SMFF's gentle verses. But the chorus is a bit 'Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros' on helium and red bull. So I think it'll be a grower for me.

Posh has slid down in my estimations too. It's fine if she doesn't want to take part. I respect that. But to say she doesn't want the others to perform their songs... She's swelling out in the wrong direction. I just wish Melanie C would see that Posh is acting like a baby.

I'd expect the most popular album track to be 'Never Give Up On The Good Times'. But I'd most enjoy something I'd never heard them do before. I really like 'Take Me Home'. So cool and moody. It somehow feels really 90s London. 'Outer Space Girls', 'Walk of Life' or even 'Strong Enough' could be fun though. I think no more 'We Are Family'. And as much as I loved 'Sisters' at the time, they could easily choose a new song to cover.

I'd go wild for Mel B doing Left eye's rap! That's a fun idea :D

I'd like to see a dance medley of these solo songs: I Want You Back Let Your Head Go I Turn To You It's Raining Men Maybe I know it would never happen. But I think the girls could perform the songs together, with each girl taking the lead on their song. That way if Victoria preferred to do something creative with a throne and/or a catwalk, the others could share the vocal a bit more. A medley could be spectacular.

These days Melanie C is one of the most grounded. But I think she shows her youth and naivety a little here. She comes across as quite dismissive of something they've encouraged thousands of kids to believe in. I remember being a little bit heart-broken by her back then. Thank you Shia for sharing!

A strong effort from Mel B. The first three singles from the album were all great. If only she'd released 'Hotter' after this one! Also, I so wish that artwork had been used on the album. So much more appropriate for her established fan base.

Totally agree sammy01 - Spice girls nostalgia is cool at the moment. Melanie should jump on that trend. I've even seen 'Girl Power' slogan tees in the shops. I love it. I miss the 90's so much :P

I like the sound of that track list Spiceboy. But yes, I'd leave off IKHSW too. Actually, I'd love Emma and Melanie to record their version of '2 Become 1'. The fans know how close those two are.

I'd like Melanie to put an updated spin on her back catalogue for some kind of 'Greatest Hits'. She won't sell tonnes. And Virgin aren't going to do anything unless it's a guaranteed money-spinner. But if she wants to do it, why not? I don't really understand the anger on this thread.

I agree the black 'Too Much' design is much slicker. You can tell the shoot was for a fashion mag. So much pouting. :lol: I do prefer to see their individuality shine through a bit more. But still, the photography is beautiful.

Those dates are really enlightening. Such a shame the girls didn't get the 'Forever' era underway in 1999. I'd have liked to see: September 1999: 'Holler' / 'Let Love Lead The Way' single December 1999: 'Oxygen' or 'Weekend Love' (cutting Mel B's rap) as a Christmas single December 1999: 'Forever' album February 2000: 'Pain Proof' single And my preferred 'Forever' track list (for 1999) would be: 1.
